  4.
  5. ~
  6.
  7. The morning is your favorite part of the day. It‘s refreshing, really. You look forward to all that you can accomplish with a clear and calm mind. Nothing feels better than that.
  8.
  9. Though, there isn’t much for you to accomplish yet in Ponyville. You’ve only been here for a few weeks. A few more and….
  10.
  11. You hear a knock on your door, but you already knew who it was. It’s the same mare that has come over nearly every day since you had arrived in Ponyville. She was the only one here who actually maintained in interest in your existence. Now that you think of it, she was basically your… friend.
  12.
  13. You hop out of your bed and walk over to the door and open it. Your judgment was right; there stood that same cyan mare that you met those few weeks ago. There was that flowing rainbow mane that caught your attention those few weeks ago. You chose not to mingle with many ponies, but she was different. She just kept coming back. Deep down, you appreciated that. Rainbow Dash trots over to you and rubs your shoulder with a hoof.
  14.
  15. “Hey, Anon! I’m glad you’re awake.” she says with a smile. “I gotta ask ya, do you want to meet my friends today? I think you would like them.”
  16.
  17. You stare mindlessly in her direction. You aren’t particularly in the mood for meeting other ponies, especially not today.
  18.
  19. “I… uh… Rainbow, I just…”
  20.
  21. “Anon.” she says in a stern tone. “If you don‘t want to meet them, I understand. I just worry that you’re too… too alone all the time. Maybe I‘ll just stick with you today?”
  22.
  23. What say?
  24.
  25. >A) Respond positively.
  26. >B) Respond negatively.
  27. >C) Remain quiet.
  28.
  29.
  30.
  31. CHOICE A
  32.
  33. “Rainbow… sorry.” You say softly. “I’m just very… well I’m not keen on this whole Ponyville thing yet.”
  34.
  35. You invite Rainbow Dash inside and you both walk over to your ragged couch. She lays down on it, leaving you with no room to sit. You glare at her.
  36.
  37. “Anon, don’t be like that.” Rainbow teases. “You know I’m just messin’ around with ya.” She sits up, giving you room to sit next to her. You roll your eyes and sit.
  38.
  39. “I’m not saying I don’t want to meet your friends.” You say. “It’s just that I need a bit more time. You know? It’s not easy being the only human here.” Rainbow looks at you intently. She opens her mouth to speak but you cut her off.
  40.
  41. “My friends, and family. All left behind.” You say. “Just give me some time to open up to the fact that they are gone, alright?” Rainbow frowns at you.
  42.
  43. “Anon… it’s pretty nice here. I mean, this could be a permanent home for you.” she says. “Well… if everything goes well for you of course.” She rubs your shoulder with her hoof again. You still aren’t used to that feeling. “Do you still want to hang out with me? Maybe we can… you know walk around, keep it simple.”
  44.
  45. Every time you hang out with her, it’s usually the same: you guys walk to the edge of town, then to the lake, then underneath her floating house, then to the lake again, and then back to your place. Your life must be incredibly interesting to her. Or maybe there is an ulterior motive?
  46.
  47. What say?
  48.
  49. >A) We can hang out, Rainbow.
  50. >B) I don’t know, maybe not today.
  51. >C) Inquire about her interest in your life.
  52.
  53. CHOICE C
  54.
  55. “Can I ask you something, Rainbow Dash?” She looks at you and nods.
  56.
  57. “Yeah, what is it, buddy?” She asks happily.
  58.
  59. “Well, when we met, it was sort of an accident.” You say. Rainbow Dash blushes at this. “I mean, you basically flew into me because you thought I was a threat to Ponyville. But ever since then, you’ve been like… always around. You’ve come over nearly every day, you always want to hang out, you always ask about my old home. Honestly, I don’t mind that you do all of that. But I just want to know why you have such an interest in me?”
  60.
  61. She sits and fiddles with her hooves. You’ve made her blush more. Obviously this is a bit difficult for her, which surprises you entirely. She’s usually so tough about everything. Actually, you’ve never seen her blush that much either.
  62.
  63. “W-well Anon… uh… I just like h-hangin’ out with cool po- uh… friends like you. That’s not a crime is it?”
  64.
  65. “No, Rainbow! Not at all! It just… seems weird.” She turns away slightly.
  66.
  67. “I’m gonna go, Anon… See ya later…” she says softly. She hovers above the couch and heads over to the door.
  68.
  69. What do?
  70.
  71. >A) Call her back. Keep inquiring about her interest in you.
  72. >B) Show her the door. Save it for another day.
  73. >C) Take a walk with her. Relax her some, and then ask again.
  74.
  75.
  76. CHOICE C
  77.
  78. You run over to the door and stop Rainbow Dash. She looks at you sadly.
  79.
  80. “Hey, Rainbow. Let’s go take that walk alright?” You say in a positive manner. Her face immediately brightens up. She gives you a big toothy grin.
  81.
  82. “Now we’re talkin’!” She says happily, punching you gently on the shoulder. “But Anon, we don’t have to if you really aren’t-” You put a finger up to her mouth.
  83.
  84. “No way, I’m in the mood for some fresh air, just let me grab a sweater.” You head into your room and rummage around for your sweater. You find it, but you also find a scarf, and a few bits you got from Rainbow after she lost a bet. You grab them both and head outside to meet her. The air was cold, but you were used to worse. Rainbow Dash is doing some stretches while you lock the door. You see her shiver a bit.
  85.
  86. What do?
  87.
  88. >A) Give her your scarf.
  89. >B) Put the scarf on. She can handle the cold.
  90. >C) Cancel this walk. Conditions are way too extreme.
  91.
  92. You walk over to Rainbow and wrap the scarf snugly around her neck.
  93.
  94. "There you go, Rainbow. Don't want you getting sick now, do we?" You give her a friendly smile. She responds with a punch to your shoulder, harder than the last.
  95.
  96. "Get outta here, Anon!" She says with a smirk. "I wasn't even cold! It's practically a sauna out here!" You rolled your eyes at her. She was always doing that. She loved having a "tough-as-nails" attitude about everything. Good thing you knew better.
  97.
  98. What do?
  99.
  100. >A) Tease her playfully.
  101. >B) Let her lead the way, then inquire.
  102. >C) Lead the way, then inquire.
  103.
  104.
  105. You ruffle Rainbow's mane playfully.
  106.
  107. "You can't fool me, Miss Rainbow. I can tell that you're sensitive to this weather." Her cheeks turn to a deep strawberry color. She strikes at you again but you dodge it. This frustrates her, and you could tell.
  108.
  109. "Alright, tough guy. You better stop before I have to hurt you!" She says with a slight giggle.
  110.
  111. What do?
  112.
  113. >A) Egg her on some more. This is actually fun!
  114. >B) Stop it before it gets out of hand. Besides I gotta ask her some questions.
  115.
  116.
  117. "You're right, Rainbow. Truce?" You form a fist, the ideal signal of peace. She bumps with with her hoof.
  118.
  119. "Truce... This time." She replies, giving you a sly wink. You start to walk toward the soon-to-be-frozen lake. You figure it would be a nice start to your walk with Rainbow Dash.
  120.
  121. You two are having idle chit chat. Rainbow was telling you about how she has gotten way stronger since she started this new diet. You were listening intently. This was so interesting to you, you made sure you let Rainbow know that you were completely focused on her.
  122.
  123. You arrive at the lake within the hour. You see Rainbow fly quickly over to the water. She taps it a few times, checking it see how cold it was.
  124.
  125. What do?
  126.
  127. >A) Head over and ask her about her interest in you.
  128. >B) Head over and have small talk.
  129. >C) Stay back and examine what she does.
  130.
  131.
  132. You run over to the edge of the lake. Rainbow Dash laughs and points at you.
  133.
  134. "No wings, Anon?" She mocks from afar. She flies over to you. "Sorry, I forgot!"
  135.
  136. "Yeah, sure." You reply. "You like making fun of me, don't you?"
  137.
  138. "Of course! I especially enjoy you not doing anything about it!"
  139.
  140. What say?
  141.
  142. >A) Positive response
  143. >B) negative response
  144.
  145.
  146. "Rainbow, I choose to let it slide. Only because I like you, and I need at least one friend." She blushes. "Then again, it would probably be too hard for you to come up with an intelligent comeback anyways!"
  147.
  148. You start laughing afterwards. Rainbows growls at you.
  149.
  150. "Very funny, wise guy." She lands in front of you. "You're lucky I don't bean you right here and now. As a matter of fact, you're lucky that I like you, too." You laugh, but give her another fist bump.
  151.
  152. You both walk on the edge of the water, occasionally threatening to dunk each other on the water.
  153.
  154. What do?
  155.
  156. >A) Bring up the conversation from earlier.
  157. >B) Forget about it, enjoy the walk with Rainbow.
  158. >C) Call it a day.
  159.
  160. CHOICE A
  161.
  162. The two of you decide to take a break on a series of rolling hills surrounding the lake. You sit down with Rainbow Dash, who starts stretching again. Probably to keep her muscles ready to knock you out or something.
  163.
  164. “So, Rainbow.” you start. “About that conversation from earlier…”
  165.
  166. “No worries, Anon.” She replies happily, yet hastily. “I wouldn’t bean you for real.” You are stumped for a second until you realize that she was referring to the other conversation you had.
  167.
  168. “Uh, well thanks, but that’s not the conversation I was referring to.” You say. “The other one. You know, where I asked you what your fascination is with me?” Rainbow blushes and looks away.
  169.
  170. “A-anon… I don’t know what you m-mean by fascination. I mean…” she blushes even more. “I don’t have any fascination with you! You’re just… you know… cool.”
  171.
  172. “That can’t be it, Rainbow.” you say. “What really is it?” Rainbow can’t even look at you in the eyes.
  173.
  174. “I can’t… I can’t tell you, Anon… It’s too embarrassing.”
  175.
  176. What do?
  177.
  178. >A) Comfort her, but remain persistent.
  179. >B) Comfort her, but drop it.
  180. >C) Persist in asking her.
  181.
  182.
  183.
  184.
  185.
  186.
  187.
  188.
  189.
  190. CHOICE A
  191.
  192. “Hey, Rainbow…” you say, trying to comfort her. “Don’t feel embarrassed around me, ok?” You rub her back gently. “I’m just curious as to why you think I’m so cool, you know?”
  193.
  194. “Well, honestly, Anon…” She starts. “At first, I felt really bad that you didn’t have any friends. The day after I ran into you, I overheard a lot of other ponies speaking really poorly of you. Calling you names, and making fun of you because you were different…” She blushes really hard. “And I told them to zip it. I told them they were wrong. That you were really cool, and that they had no right to make fun of you.”
  195.
  196. She shuffles around nervously a bit.
  197.
  198. “After that, I wanted to get to know you and prove them wrong. And while I still don’t know a lot about you, I know that you’re a cool… human. You’re fun to be around. That’s why I want you to meet my other friends. I want everyone else to experience your coolness.” You sit there speechless.
  199.
  200. What say?
  201.
  202. >A) Respond positively.
  203. >B) Respond negatively.
  204. >C) Sit quietly.
  205.
  206.
  207. CHOICE A
  208.
  209. “I’m not sure what to say, except… well, thanks, Rainbow. You really didn’t have to do any of this stuff.” You ruffle Rainbow’s mane again. She responds by pushing you away giggling.
  210.
  211. “Sometimes, you’re really annoying, Anon.” she says playfully. “But honestly, I’m glad to have… well… stop making me feel all sappy!” She pushes you again. “Gosh, I just like hanging out with you. Although, I wish sometimes you would open up more to me.”
  212.
  213. “What do you mean?” you ask in a slightly confused manner.
  214.
  215. “Like… why are you here? Why Ponyville? Why leave everything behind? What’s your favorite food? Stuff friends usually know about each other!”
  216.
  217. Rainbow Dash had a point. You were quite reserved these past few weeks. It wasn’t Rainbow Dash, you were always this way. Maybe you owe her something? She’s apparently done a lot for you. Could she really be a close friend like she wants to be?
  218.
  219. What do?
  220.
  221. >A) Offer to open up to her.
  222. >B) Ask to meet her friends.
  223. >C) Return home.
  224. >D) Insist that you can’t open up to her yet.
  225.
  226.
  227.
  228.
  229.
  230.
  231.
  232.
  233. CHOICE A
  234.
  235.
  236. “I can open up to you.” You start. “But it’ll be hard for me. I just ask that you be patient.” Rainbow nods smiling at you.
  237.
  238. “Does this mean you’ll come and meet my friends?” She asks.
  239.
  240. “Maybe. We’ll have to wait and see.”
  241.
  242. “When can you open up to me, Anon? I don’t have all day!”
  243.
  244. “Patience.”
  245.
  246. ~
  247.
  248. The wind has picked up a bit. The sky is fading from a calm blue to a deep orange. You and Rainbow decided to sit under a tree and nap for a few hours. Napping was a one of your own personal favorite past-times, and you were glad you could share it with Rainbow. You’ve been up for a few minutes, but you notice Rainbow Dash has fallen asleep on your stomach. You could see her back rising and falling as she snores gently.
  249.
  250. She is close to you, yet you still aren’t sure about all of this.
  251.
  252. You notice a few local ponies walking by staring at you and whispering things to each other. They were probably saying rude things about you. And probably Rainbow Dash, too.
  253.
  254. Rainbow Dash, too.
  255.
  256. That pisses you off.
  257.
  258. What do?
  259.
  260. >A) Wake her up. It’s time to go home.
  261. >B) Ignore the ponies, let Rainbow sleep.
  262. >C) Confront the other ponies.
  263.
  264.
  265. CHOICE C
  266.
  267. You aren’t down with some ponies saying hurtful things about you, or Rainbow Dash.
  268.
  269. Especially Rainbow Dash.
  270.
  271. You gently ease Rainbow off of you, being very careful not to wake her. You manage to get her off without waking her. You get up and walk briskly over to the two ponies who now look slightly frightened. One is a pony with a purple coat. The other, a coat of pink. You notice the pony purple has a horn. Rainbow mentioned the unicorn ponies having the capability to use magic. Yet that didn’t stop you. You need to figure out what the big deal is.
  272.
  273. “Excuse me!” you say to the two ponies. “May I ask what is so funny about me and my friend simply resting under a tree? I mean, come on. I’ve been taunted and made fun of ever since I arrived here. I guarantee that you know nothing about me, yet you speak behind my back like little children. I may be a human, but I can promise you that I am just as intelligent as you all are.”
  274.
  275. You are breathing quite heavily. The two ponies just stare at you, mouth ajar.
  276.
  277. What do?
  278.
  279. >A) Keep at it.
  280. >B) Relax. Apologize, Anon. That was too far.
  281. >C) Turn back and go lay down with Rainbow.
  282.
  283.
  284. CHOICE C
  285.
  286. You turn around and walk back toward Rainbow. You don’t even let the two ponies say anything. Honestly, you couldn’t care less. You were so angry.
  287.
  288. You haven’t felt this angry before. You don’t… you….
  289.
  290. You get back to the tree. Upon seeing Rainbow Dash cutely curled up on the ground, your anger fades. Her gentle snores calm your nerves. You sit down and lean against the tree. Rainbow turns and lays her head on your stomach again, still snoring gently. You lay your head back and close your eyes. The wind was gentle, but still cold. You start to slowly stroke Rainbow’s mane.
  291.
  292. She grunts softly in approval, yet she remains asleep.
  293.
  294. What do?
  295.
  296. >A) Wake her up, it’s getting late.
  297. >B) Continue to stroke her mane.
  298. >C) Fall asleep.
  299.
  300.
  301. CHOICE B
  302.
  303. You continue to rub your fingers through her mane. It isn’t as long as the other ponies, but damn is it silky. As active as she is, her mane feels so incredibly clean. Your fingers sift through her mane, earning yourself slight grunts of approval. You want to believe that she is awake, but you know how hard it is to wake her up. You start to rub down her back. Her coat is short, but soft. And… clean… it’s amazes you how clean she really is. If anyone else knew this, you’re sure she would be absolutely embarrassed.
  304.
  305. She turns her body, making you a jump a bit. Your hand is on her stomach now. You gently rub her stomach. She moans softly in approval. She nuzzles her head into your stomach.
  306.
  307. What do?
  308.
  309. >A) It’s too far now. Wake her up.
  310. >B) Rub her a bit more, she’s just too… cute?
  311. >C) Fall asleep, before anyone sees.
  312.
  313.
  314.
  315. CHOICE B
  316.
  317. This is just as relaxing for you as it is for her. You rub her stomach gently still, in small circles, and occasionally in big circles. Her breathing becomes more and more relaxed. Her head nuzzles you more and more affectionately. You use your other hand and run your hands through her mane again.
  318.
  319. This closeness to Rainbow Dash is new to you. But… you like it. This connection feels so good. This is something you never had back home.
  320.
  321. Home.
  322.
  323. You miss home. And-
  324.
  325. “Anon! What are you doing?”
  326.
  327. Your heart almost bursts out of your chest. You look down and see Rainbow staring at you.
  328.
  329. What do?
  330.
  331. >A) Pull your hands away, apologize like crazy.
  332. >B) Get up quickly, pretend like nothing was going on.
  333. >C) Say nothing.
  334.
  335.
  336. CHOICE C
  337.
  338. You look at her, but you feel like your voice box was ripped out. Rainbow pulls away a little bit and stretches her limbs. She then gives out a big yawn. You still can’t emit a single vibration from your throat. She gets off of you slowly. Her cheeks are incredibly rosy.
  339.
  340. “Anon…” Rainbow Dash says. “What were… what….”
  341.
  342. “Rainbow… I’m… I was just…” She stops you with her hoof.
  343.
  344. “Don’t say anything. Let’s… forget about this. Although… well… it did feel good.”
  345.
  346. You gulp loudly.
  347.
  348. “Actually,” she says. “It was kinda nice. I just didn’t want anyone else to see us. I can’t be getting rubbed in front of other ponies! I gotta keep my tough composure! You know…”
  349.
  350. You don’t even feel like your conscious at this point. What is even going on?
  351.
  352. “Rainbow… I didn’t mean to…”
  353.
  354. “It’s getting late, Anon. And I’m starving!”
  355.
  356. What do?
  357.
  358. >A) Keep apologizing.
  359. >B) Invite her over. Maybe I can cook for her?
  360. >C) Call it a day.
  361.
  362.
  363.
  364.
  365.
  366.
  367.
  368.
  369.
  370. CHOICE B
  371.
  372. “Can I cook something for you tonight?” You blurt out. You blush heavily. “T-that is… if you have nothing better to do! I mean…”
  373.
  374. “Anon… I have plans for the night… otherwise… I would! Too bad there aren’t two of me.” She doesn’t seem too distraught about it. You are so embarrassed at this point. You look at the ground, hiding your shame. Well, trying to at least.
  375.
  376. “Aw, cheer up, buddy.” Rainbow says reassuringly. “I… I gotta go now though. I’ll come see you tomorrow, ok? Catch ya later, Anon!” Before you can respond, she speeds off towards Ponyville.
  377.
  378. “What… what just happened…?” you think to yourself. You bury your face in your hands. You haven’t felt this way in a long, long time. Pure shame. Embarrassment. Anger.
  379.
  380. That one you felt too many times today. Better calm down. There is no need to make yet another scene.
  381.
  382. The wind begins to pick up again. It’s time to head home.
  383.
  384. ~
  385.
  386. Home. Where the heart is, right?
  387.
  388. You had prepared some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for yourself. Quite a dinner. But you had no complaints. You finish the sandwich and clean up. You take off your shirt and plop onto your old bed. When you get a job… well… if you get a job, a new bed is the first thing you buy. You glance over at the clock.
  389.
  390. 12:09 am.
  391.
  392. Yeah, way past your bedtime. You shut the lamp off and close your eyes.
  393.
  394. ~
  395.
  396. A loud knock wakes you from your deep sleep.
  397.
  398. “What… what the…” You get up shakily from your bed. You manage to look over at the clock.
  399.
  400. 2:23am.
  401.
  402. You walk over to your door and open it.
  403.
  404. “H-hey, Anon…”
  405.
  406. Standing there is Rainbow Dash, her eyes full of tears. Your heart drops.
  407.
