  1. [22:39] BigSis [Seven hours of road trip later...]
  2. [22:40] BigSis "Okay, okay, Plaza 17, this is us. Where'd you put the ticket?"
  3. [22:41] BigSis rummages around the front of the minivan. For only being on the toll road for two hours, one would expect the ticket couldn't have gotten very far...
  4. [22:45] Karan "I thought it was in the glovebox?"
  5. [22:46] Meredith "Check the cubby between the seats."
  6. [22:47] BigSis "YOU check; you're shotgun, Merry."
  7. [22:48] Meredith "Right." She checks in the glovebox and the cubby.
  8. [22:48] Karan Kagan creases her brow, with the toll exit approaching on the horizon.
  9. [22:49] Agamedes would be out cold, groaning and snoring in her sleep loudly. "Oohh, right there!~"
  10. [22:50] BigSis leans over to the back bench seat with the sleeping little girl and massages her thigh.
  11. [22:50] BigSis "Here?"
  12. [22:51] Agamedes "Nnn, right on my big thick thingy... ...o..oh.. right... hnn.. th.. theeereee"
  13. [22:53] BigSis "Oh so you have a big thick one? Can I see~?"
  14. [22:54] Agamedes The girl would begin to stir, groaning and moaning. "Gnnn... yellow...a..---gnn agkkc! " She'd snap awake with one eye still asleep and the other fully awake. " Oh, oh.. dammit, we're not in Kansas anymore are we? Also I need to peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"
  15. [22:55] BigSis pats Medes' big thick thigh.
  16. [22:55] BigSis "I do too; stop whining and be happy you still have legs to cross~ We're almost at the hotel."
  17. [22:57] BigSis "Karan, after the exit ramp take a left onto the main drag then a right on Charles. It'll be the Super 8."
  18. [22:58] Agamedes "I'm going to start singing that one.. *yawns* thing with drake. Yolo, dawg. and stuff. Ok, on a one, a two a three--"
  19. [22:58] Karan "Got it. A rest will be nice."
  20. [23:01] Karan "Can you pass me the ticket?"
  21. [23:05] BigSis [One offramp and more whining about bathrooms later, the crew pulls into the hotel parking lot. The elevated toll highway does its best to loom over them and ruin what would totally be a "picturesque" view of Toledo, Ohio.]
  22. [23:07] BigSis "I'll check us in. You girls get the bags and clean up your trash; I swear you are such CHILDREN."
  23. [23:09] Karan "I will stay by you; you have more to carry than me."
  24. [23:11] BigSis "Actually I have NOTHING to carry; that's why you're here~"
  25. [23:11] Agamedes Medes was already out dashing into the bathrooom, only to trip on her chains and eat dirt. "Oof. Peeeeee"
  26. [23:13] Karan Kagan smirks. "I suppose that's right."
  27. [23:14] BigSis and Karan head inside and up to the front desk. Jenna booked their rooms on the way there, so after a quick conversaion they obtain their room keys.
  28. [23:16] Karan On the way, the bodyguard keeps discreet glances about to ensure nothing shady is afoot.
  29. [23:19] BigSis walks over to the dirt buffet and tosses Medes a key.
  30. [23:19] BigSis "209, up the stairs and to the right. DON'T take all night; I need to get in there too."
  31. [23:20] Meredith has put all their luggage on a cart, and is wheeling it to the room.
  32. [23:20] Meredith She has to take the elevator.
  33. [23:22] Agamedes "HI HO! HI HO! OFF TO THE BATHROOM I GO!" The girl got up without a beat before hastily unlocking the door and using the restroom.
  34. [23:25] Meredith "Could you sing any louder, Medes? Not everyone in the hotel heard you."
  35. [23:26] BigSis [Karan sees nothing suspicious. An old man watches the evening news in the lobby; talkings heads discussing Russian tensions, again.]
  36. [23:29] Agamedes "OHHHH YESSSSSSS! AHHHHHHH~ MORE MISTER MOOOOOREEEEEEEEEEE!!!~"
  37. [23:30] BigSis winces as she was about to open their room door. She turns to Meredith.
  38. [23:30] BigSis "...How thick are these walls...?"
  39. [23:30] Karan "Medes, shut up..."
  40. [23:33] Agamedes "Sorry. Felt like I was tempting fate with my body -Yawns once more- Maybe people should stop talking behind my back... or do I have a back?"
  41. [23:35] BigSis slowly leans down onto one of the beds, left hand still holding onto the Haliburton case containing "the essentials".
  42. [23:38] BigSis "Baby has no back; best accept it and keep living life."
  43. [23:38] BigSis holds out her other hand.
  44. [23:39] BigSis "Did we bring the cooler in? Somebody get me a drink."
  45. [23:41] Agamedes "B-but that means I gotta carry it with my hands!!... its no fuunnn" She frowns and pouts before volunteering to drag the cooler back from the vehicle.
  46. [23:45] Meredith "I got the cooler. It's under Medes's bag."
  47. [23:46] Karan Karan quickly rummages through, retrieving a cold indie soda.
  48. [23:47] Karan "Here."
  49. [23:50] Agamedes "Oh, damn. I'm going to go see if they have a pool." The girl runs off, without a care as she went aroudn to go look for that cool blue goodness.
  50. [23:53] BigSis takes the can and drains half of it, pushing herself back so her head is properly on a pillow.
  51. [23:53] Meredith flops face down on the other bed.
  52. [23:54] BigSis "Uggghh... Enjoy it while you can, ladies; tomorrow's sure not going to be any better."
  53. [23:55] Meredith "Don't tell me that." she says, muffled by the blanket.
  54. [23:57] BigSis muffles her own face with a pillow as well, trying to block out the light.
  55. [23:57] BigSis "Fhumwhon haffs tou."
  56. [23:58] Karan "It's not luxury, but it's not too bad."
  57. [00:01] Agamedes "Pooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooollllllllllll. Poop." The girl returns shortly afterwards with a huge smile on her face. "So, what are we gonna do now? Be a bunch of bums?"
  58. [00:07] BigSis "Yefsh."
  59. [00:10] BigSis removes the pillow just enough for her eyes to be free.
  60. [00:10] Agamedes "Chinese food again?~" She grins, really enjoying that psuedo-american chinese food.
  61. [00:11] BigSis "We JUST ate, like, six hours ago."
  62. [00:12] BigSis "Just relax. It's more relaxing than you might expect."
  63. [00:16] Agamedes "That's LIKE 6 hours ago! I'm still a growing kid y--oh wait I'm like... 20 plus now... whoops~ Still hungrrayyyy" She whines.
  64. [00:40] BigSis "We can go to the Waffle House across the street for breakfast. Have an apple or something; I'm sick of Chinese."
  65. [00:41] Karan "Might as well eat something slightly more 'real' now that we have the chance."
  66. [00:44] BigSis throws her pillow at Karan.
  67. [00:45] BigSis "It's not MY fault I can't cook!"
  68. [00:50] Agamedes "Apples are for assholes. And waffle house? I thought those were only in Georgia. LIke.. there's one in every town almost! No joke."
  69. [00:52] Karan catches the pillow with ease and lobs it back to its rightful place.
  70. [00:52] Karan "None of us can cook since we're on the road..."
  71. [00:54] Meredith "Yeah. The most we'd be able to do would be cup ramen in the coffee maker."
  72. [00:55] BigSis "Uggh, between that and Chinese?"
  73. [00:55] BigSis settles for her soda instead.
  74. [00:56] Karan "We could try one of the local, slightly-less-generic restaurants. One with a name, instead of a description."
  75. [01:00] BigSis moves herself to a sitting position and rolls her eyes.
  76. [01:00] Agamedes "This girl... this girl, a name does not--- well, they do serve alot of breakfast stuff but.. still!"
  77. [01:02] Karan holds her chin in thought.
  78. [01:02] Karan "... Also, strictly speaking, they would be less likely to have any 'complications'."
  79. [01:02] Karan "Without national or higher levels of control, it's that much harder for outside influence to slip in."
  80. [01:05] Meredith "Yeah, a local diner sounds best. Besides, they always have the most colorful characters."
  81. [01:06] BigSis groans.
  82. [01:07] BigSis "Uggh, I'm too tired to go out again. We've been snacking in the car all day anyways."
  83. [01:10] Agamedes "I could just scream rape if they give us trouble...." The girl seems keen on the idea of eating locally and watching the oh so colorful characters that would go through.
  84. [01:13] BigSis "That plan gives me about zero comfort, Medes. Good job."
  85. [01:16] Meredith "Yeah, that plan has actually negative chance of success."
  86. [01:17] Karan "It would undoubtedly draw outside attention, too..."
  87. [01:19] BigSis "Rest, girls. We're going to need it. Whatever happens tomorrow, we are not going to have a good night's sleep for a while."
  88. [01:20] BigSis "Maybe we can get Duchess's mother to make us something when we go visit her tomorrow."
  89. [01:21] Karan "Home cooking would be nice to taste again."
  90. [01:27] Agamedes "Aww boo, you guys suck. I'm going to go get food anyway. You can all be lazy. " She pouts.
  91. [01:29] Karan looks to Big Sis for guidance. Will we all go with?
  92. [01:34] BigSis "No, Medes. You won't."
  93. [01:34] BigSis speaks more directly.
  94. [01:34] BigSis "We're being SAFE. Call it laziness if you want."
  95. [01:35] BigSis "It's not worth it. Not anymore. And not for food. Not until we know the playing field."
