Given a neuro-linker while young due to a want from his parents to excel in life and seeing as the neuro-linker being just the way to do it, Shu has had the device since his birth. As a person however he was quite the loner during his younger years, normally this wouldn't be a problem but it made him easy pickings for bullies. Fighting back was not a problem however but rather the lies told by the bullies were held in much higher regard than that of his own and having no one to stand up for him only worsened this. It was as simple as that for the bullies thereafter, if they couldn't beat him in a fair fight they would simply have to attack him in that way and so did his reputation of being a terrible person who beat on others came to be.

The reality of course is much different, at first he was angered but then he simply stopped caring but regardless that stigma has followed him throughout his life now, including the new school he has just entered all the while his own self-confidence diminished from his previous bullying, keeping to himself and simply going that people will eventually stop caring, including himself.

The dream he had was that all around him was fog, soon becoming walls, a representation of the deceit he's suffered and that has kept him from getting close to others for as long as it has been around. His one desire is to cut through these walls of lies and get to the truuuuuuuth and thus he gains Truth Seeker, an exotic weapon whose main ability is the ability to pierce through all things to reach a place he never could.
