background| Yongguks was born and raised in Incheon till he turned 15. His father was a pure Incheon man too but his mom was a Busan lady. Their parents were close friends and introduced Yongguks father and mother to each other. For his father it was love at first sight but it took his mom 1 year to return his feelings. Another 3 years later and they finally got married. Their first born was a girl Si-Yeon, Yongguks older sister and 3 years later he and Yongnam his twin brother were born. As a child Yongguk was a quite and a socially withdrawn child. A big factor for this was that he couldn't talk till he was five making his family asume he was mute. Whilst other kids his age would play outside he would be inside in the corner with his tiger plushy playing by himself. Until a certain age his bigges hobby was "playing by himself". When he was finally able to talk kids were still reluctant to talk to him, they called him weird for constantly carrying around his tiger plushy - wich was his first gift from his granddad - and talking to it as if it was alive. In the beginning Yongguk did not really mind but as he got older and noticed the difference between himself and Yongnam he felt more and more hurt. He wanted people to talk to him too, he wanted to appreciate him. He knew the only way to be like that was to change himself, the younger Yongguk would only talk to people he was interested in. The Yongguk now talked to everyone, he always made silly dad jokes to make people laugh. Their smile became his ecouragement to change to how he was. Even though he was smiling on the outside on the inside he was still afraid off the social judgement the moment he would show his bad side once in a while. At those times he would hope there would be someone beside his family that would accept him for who he was, a person who would say "It's okay!" and who would just give him a hugg. Allthough he dated girls who were cimilair to him he never got satisfaction or real love out off the relationship. Nothing changed even after moving to Seoul, he still felt empty.

personality|He is rather sociable and is quite a caring person like a father figure. He loves to crack dad jokes and knows no limit in it, sometimes even annoying people with it. He does it to make them feel better and they know this yet sometimes they want him to put a limit on himself. He has this cool and manly image about himself but in reality he messes up quite alot with his clumsiness. He's adorable when he fails in beign "cool" but he can cover it up quite well acting as if nothing happened. Other people get a second hand embarassment rather than himself. He babies them around, despite their age wich might quirk some off but in a lot off situations it helps them ease up. He's like their healing person who they go to if they want the weight on their shoulders to be lifted. He is the type to make sure all of the guys have eaten before eating food himself. Yet there is a fragile and hidden side to himself wich he prefers not to show but only comes out when he's around Sae. He becomes vunerable and his "cool" bravoure falls as he gets really unsure about himself. He has those moments were's he's all happy and protective around Sae and the next second her creates a distance to pull himself together. He's verry gratefull that Sae always pulls him together and never gives up on him. Whenever he needs that moral boost to have confidence in himself she's there, with her arms spread open and just accepting his anxiety. Despite his anxiety attacks around Sae he tries to be a flirty bad boy but he always fails as she ealsy sees troughs him. Even if she doesn't he gives it away with his clumsiness but he's happy as long as she smiles because off him. She's one off the few person to not run away because off his vulnerable pessimistic side and he's happy to have found someone like her allthough he might sometimes act too selfish.

→his| He was genuinely interested in her despite usually not being that attracted to girls. She stood out from the crowd as she did not get wasted like anyone. What more she looked like she could drown herself right there and then but before that he had seen her helpfull side were she scolded the younger ones to not go too crazy.

how is he with her?|He's really protective and the most enjoyable thing for him is to see her laugh at his silly  and clumsiness or his dad jokes. No matther how corny or bad they are she would still laugh and that puts a smile on his face. He sees a lot off resemble in her from himself wich gives him a part off comfort but on the other hand she's confident in herself whilst he still thinks if the way he is can pass trough social judgement. At times he notices how he wants to step away from her shining light but she always manages to pull him in again with her warm smile and caringness towards him. After they were dating for a while, when they started undertsanding each others boundaries and havd entered the stage in the relationship where they could discuss bowel movements or fart freely; that’s when he started being overly cheesy & cute, trowing skinship everywhere. He was verry shocked at first, he tough he could life a quite peacefull life without much judgement - wich he fears much - from others but her powers turned his whole world up side down. One side he was torn with the 4 years long love he had built up on the otherside he feared what would happen if the towns people found out.

He started acting quite distant from Sae for a while almsot to the point off breaking up but then she asked him a question with a unwavering gaze "Just because I have powers does this make me a different person Yongguk? Is the person you loved for four years suddenly gone?" at that moment he knew he would stay by her side.

The person herself was so unwavering infront off him, why should he care about others?! He would protect her at all cost despite the sacrifice.

No he wasn't jealous off her powers. He actually became even more protective and started fearing what would happen if anyone found out. He swore he would protect her from the social eyes.
