Installation instructions

1. Copy patch files into game installation directory.
2. Run apply_diffs.bat

Known issues
============
- Scene replay is not available.
- Tons of errors in first windmill hill scene — it means either its Japanese version instead English, or patch wasn't installed correctly.
- Honorifics usage is inconsistent — work in progress, will be fixed along with tlc of whole text.
- Several lines are clipped at bottom — they could be viewed via log.
- Several lines have missing quotes — work in progress.

"Getting Access Denied when running apply_diff" OR “the system cannot find the file specified.”
- Install the game NOT inside program files. This error has to do with your security permissions.
Disabling UAC fixed the bat issue for me at least. Try to install it inside a non-systems folder where you have permission.

Kotarou: Here is an updated Batch Installer which allows you to not only install the patch to the default location but also to any location you tell it to. [download]

"I can’t see any character sprites."
1. Check system locale, applocale is Not enough
2. Re-install game and install patch using updated bat file. [download here]
3. If it still doesn't work, download prepatched version.

"Screen size is less than 1280x720 so it cannot start up"
- sorry no solution yet. your computer doesn't meet the system requirements. may remove the resolution check in future patches.

"I am on windows 8 and it dont work"
rusanon: Someone on forums had exact problem with Win8, he solved it by running bat file from cmd with admin rights.

"Excuse me the filesize of the folder now is seriously big, 8gb, is that normal after the patch?
rusanon: You can delete .bkp and .diff files, it should reduce size to 4GB.

"I used Applocale and still having problems."
Applocale is not same as japanese system locale. You need system locale changed to JP, applocale is not enough. If you have locale set to jp correctly, and it still crashes, you should try playing original MoeNovel version. If it crashes there too, its some problem with video card drivers or directx.

"Is there anyway to confirm that I installed the patch correctly?"
rusanon: If you have Rio.arc.bkp in your game folder, it installed correctly.
