- ALL DEM MODS.
- wishful thinking begun on 7/25/15
- ordered by potential cost, not priority
- -jaguar supercharger setup, like what toolman2 built. he only put 3 grand into his and it runs excellent even without any tuning.
- -6speed manual swap
- -Get it professionally plasti-dipped to an imitation helrot red using that new super high gloss DYC topcoat.
- -some interior color modifications, black carpet, gloss black vinyl wrap for the trim, black lower seat surrounds, black door cards with grey leather insert sections.
- -suspension stuff (biltein hds, m5 rear sway with msport front sway, polyurethane thrust/control arm/subframe bushings, adjustable rear endlinks to lower the bags)
- -some continental extremecontact DWs for summer tires, and put some blizzaks on steel wheels for the winter
- -e38 sport seats! with e65 comfort headrests, the ones with the neck pillows, swapped in
- -brembo blank rotors with akebono euro pads and brass caliper bushings and stainless steel brake lines. the front rotors are pretty thin so this doubles up as maintenance.
- -zionsville fan shroud + aluminum expansion tank + two speed electric fan conversion kit. i'll keep the stock radiator for now
- -M5 side mirrors, set up to fold automatically when i like the car
- -Advanced keys 105b remote start/push button start/keyless entry. there's a thread by Alpina540i and he added capacitive sensors in the mirrors for controlling the locking, which is cool
- -Park distance control retrofit, front and back
- -crazy custom built infotainment system using an android tablet and an apple magic track pad, with 3d printed mechanism to raise the screen into position only when the car is on.
- -possibly a heads up display using a pico projector and some teleprompter glass. android has some interesting multi-display functionality after all....
- -a direct tap into a I-Kbus using an arduino, could open up a lot of custom functionality like intelligent window operation that automatically cracks the windows/sunroof on a hot day.
- -M5 steering box, wired for servotronic
- -rear sunshades retrofit
- -Evans NPG cooling system conversion. i have yet to hear anything bad about this stuff from someone who actually uses it
- -exhaust system, grab a second hand magnaflow and a vibrant performance straight resonator. vroom vroom, but not loud vroom vroom
