  6. Now that all of you have so much fresh experience with whooping cough, are there any new favorite treatments to suggest.
  7. I've go 38 yo male with a nasty whoop of cough times 4 weeks, treated3 weeks back with a 5 day Z pak. (no change) he blacks out with his sporadic episodes. Worse first thing in the morning. His wife tells me his face gets red like a tomato so we are trying hp belladonna. But I'm open for any suggestions from all of you experts.

  24. Hi Jacob
  25. I have treated quite a few cases of whooping cough. I use homeopathic remedies (droscera, spongia, ipecaca are most common), plus vitamin A (10,000iu per 25lbs body weight, twice/day for 1 week, repeat if needed) and a tincture with at least 30mL thyme, and 30mL goldenseal per 100mL - other herbs as indicated, 1/2 to 1 tsp every 2-3 hours, depending on patient size and vitality. I have had very good success with this. Tincture of thyme seems to be an under appreciated herb. It is very effective for both whooping cough and pneumonia.
