[15:06] <GM||WavemasterRyx> When we last left Advance Team 1, in the waking world. They were exploring the frigid expanses of Hoth (not really) looking for ice to bring back to the ship so everypony wouldn't die of dehydration and not being able to shower.
[15:06] * Swoop stomps the ice. "Stupid frozen water..."
[15:06] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Before them lies a deep, dark hole... Will they push in fast, or will they take it slow and easy... only time will tell.

[15:10] <GM||WavemasterRyx> In the meantime, with their first cart full of ice, Snow Cone and Spades Slick returned with it to the ship where they remained. Chameleon was entrusted to bring the next cart back, and arrived in just a few minutes.
[15:10] <Chameleon> Spades_Slick is now Chameleon
[15:12] * Astera casts light, illuminating the area,(and tunnel) around her in a soft glow. "Ah.. Do you recon it is wise for use to go in?"
[15:13] * Swept_Wing shrugs. "Don't see why not."
[15:13] * Chameleon trots over after unhitching herself from the cart
[15:13] <Swoop> "Yes, lets go into the deep dark place on an uncharted world of ice. Very good idea."
[15:14] <Chameleon> "Compared to the last one doing a little exploring seems tame.
[15:14] <Swoop> "I'll take your word for it... I still remember bugs..."
[15:15] * Swept_Wing chuckles, clicking the lamp on his ShitBuck on, twirling his PPC.
[15:15] * Chameleon puffs out her cheeks and makes a :I face "Got somethin' against bugs?"
[15:16] * Swoop clicks on her lamp too. "Just the ones that bite... and sting... and make me itch."
[15:16] * Chameleon bites the air in Swoop's direction and makes a 'NnnnnOM!' noise
[15:17] * Swoop rolls her eyes. "You don't make me itch."
[15:17] * Chameleon giggles
[15:17] * Astera rolls her eyes and steps into the tunnel. "Doubt there are any bugs like that in here, to cold.."
[15:17] <Chameleon> "Yetis!"
[15:18] * Swept_Wing raises an eyebrow. "Suuuuuuure."
[15:18] <Swoop> "Depends on the bug, doesn't it?"
[15:18] * Chameleon wiggles. Her armor is warm :3
[15:18] * Chameleon and you know. there's the suit.
[15:19] * Swept_Wing doesn't like said suit, because he can't fly with it on.
[15:19] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The inside of the tunnel reads as slightly colder than the surface. The floor of it is flat and level, leading into the side of the mountain.
[15:20] <Swoop> "So where are we digging for more ice?"
[15:20] * Clara is following the ponies.
[15:21] * Chameleon is also following
[15:21] <Swept_Wing>  /me steps into the tunnel after Astera, gazing around. "Somewhere in here I reckon.
[15:21] <Swept_Wing> "*
[15:22] * Astera nods slightly. "I supose we could dig in here, but the ice outside should be equally sufficiant.. What Im wondering though, is why this place was blocked off by that piece of ice in the first place.." She says as she follows the path.
[15:23] <Chameleon> "Maybe it just froze over? It happens..."
[15:24] <Swoop> "Don't imagine an ice planet gets much rain."
[15:25] * Swoop takes a good look around.
[15:32] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Looking around, Swoop notices very fine striations in the side of the tunnel, indicating that it was created by machinery of some kind, likely a drill.
[15:33] <Swoop> "Dude, check out these ridges... not natural methinks."
[15:33] * Clara hangs back, looking behind them. She doesn't like these desolate planets with creepy and weird caves...
[15:34] * Swept_Wing trots over, looking at the ridges with Swoop. "Huh, that's wierd."
[15:34] * Chameleon follows the ridges...and makes herself dizzy
[15:34] * Astera trotts up next to Swoop. "So.. Somepony has been here before, huh..?" She looks over her shoulder, this place suddenly got much higher on the creepyness scale.
[15:35] <Swoop> "Looks like."
[15:36] * Chameleon falls back on her plot, her head still moving in little circles
[15:37] * Swept_Wing raises an eyebrow at Chameleon.
[15:37] * Swoop puts a hoof on Cammy's helmet. "Stop that.
[15:37] <Swoop> "
[15:37] * Astera puts a hoof infront of Chameleons eyes. "You can stop looking now."
[15:37] * Chameleon stops that.
[15:41] <Swoop> "So, I assume we're still on board with the 'follow the mysterious drilled hole' plan?"
[15:42] * Astera puts her hoof down again and looks around further. "Well.. I don-" She nods. "Its either that or go back to get the ice."
[15:42] <Swoop> "As exciting as that sounds..."
[15:42] * Clara frowns. "Why was that the plan again...?"
[15:43] <Swoop> "Because drilling sucks. Finding out what drilled previously, much more fun."
[15:44] * Astera glances over at Clara. "Uhm, curiousity...?" She says with a atempted wingshrug.
[15:44] * Swept_Wing nods. "Let's get moving then."
[15:45] * Swoop starts down the hole again, fully aware of the inuendo they're tempting.
[15:45] * Clara gives a little sigh. "Finding out what drilled it is why this is a bad idea..."
[15:45] <Swoop> "Oh come now. Since when is anything we do not dangerous?"
[15:46] * Swept_Wing chuckles, following after Swoop.
[15:46] * Chameleon stands back up and scampers to catch up
[15:47] * Swoop smirks, then grumbles to herself. "Like they'd call the A-Team for water collection..."
[15:49] * Clara kinda wishes she was on the B-Team. Or maybe the Triple-Z-Team.
[15:49] <Chameleon> "We can't be the A-Team."
[15:49] <Swoop> "Why not?"
[15:50] <Chameleon> "We couldn't make a machine gun with a thimble, a cup of water, and a lawnmower!"
[15:50] * Astera follows the rest, keeping to the rear.
[15:50] * Swept_Wing grins "Gimmie a day and I might."
[15:51] * Chameleon giggles "Nope! The timelimit is an hour!"
[15:51] <Swoop> "Yeah, don't count Swept out. He'll McGuyver you not just a machine gun, but the ammo to go with it, and a belt to feed it
[15:51] <Swoop> "
[15:53] * Swept_Wing chuckles. "That's right. I once had a 5mm minigun shooting 20mm rounds in about 20 minutes."
[15:56] <Swept_Wing> "And mind you, that was while it was mounted to the front of a Vertibuck while in the air."
[15:56] <Swoop> "Showoff."
[15:56] * Chameleon rolls her eyes
[15:56] <Swept_Wing> "Hey, you were the one flying it."
[15:57] <Swoop> "That's why I called you a showoff. I know you were just trying to impress ur gunner."

[15:58] <Swept_Wing> "Mmmmm, dem flanks."
[15:58] * Chameleon giggles
[15:58] * Swept_Wing waggles his eyebrows.
[15:58] * Swoop rolls her eyes now.
[15:58] * Astera smirks a little.
[16:00] * Swept_Wing snikers, nudging Swoop. "You were eyeing her too."
[16:00] <GM||WavemasterRyx> As the team proceeds down the tunnel, something catches the eyes of Astera and Swept Wing. Along the bottom of the tunnel, running just barely above the floor are two lines of glass tubing, set just inside the ice. It makes you think of the warning lights in the cooridors of Destiny.
[16:03] * Swept_Wing frowns. "Well, that's odd."
[16:03] <Swoop> "What's not odd about being in a large drilled hole?"
[16:05] <Chameleon> "Should I say something about drilling and the hole? Sexually I mean."
[16:05] <Swoop> "If it needs said, but i thought it was pretty well obvious."
[16:05] <Swept_Wing> "No, look at the floor, there's... some sort of tubing below the ice."
[16:06] * Chameleon looks between her hoofsies
[16:06] * Swoop looks.
[16:07] <Swoop> "Well ain't that something."
[16:08] * Astera taps at the ice with a hoof. "Hrm.. "
[16:10] * Swoop keeps moving down the tunnel.
[16:10] * Clara still stays near the back of the group. She's looking behind, nervously.
[16:12] * Astera taps the ground once more before continung. "Did we get a time limit by command?" She says with a glance behind her.
[16:12] <Swoop> "Probably as long as we have air, knowing them."
[16:13] <GM||WavemasterRyx> As Clara watches behind, she sees as the opening to the tunnel seals up, the ice-sheet sliding in from the edges to meet in the center like a camera aperture.
[16:13] <Chameleon> "They didn't say anything when I left."
[16:14] * Clara stares wide-eyed. "Oh... no! The ice... it's closing off!"
[16:14] * Astera spins around on the spot. "What?!"
[16:14] * Swoop whips her head around. "Wait what??"
[16:15] * Chameleon tries to turn around and ends up spinning around on the ice and making herself dizzy. again.
[16:15] <Swept_Wing> "Well shit."
[16:17] * Astera trotts up to the sealed of pathway and taps at it witha hoof, glancing back at the others..."So.. Somepony knows we're here.."
[16:19] <Swoop> "It'll take them at least 12 hours to declare us overdue. We only have ten hours of air."
[16:19] * Chameleon stops her spinning "Or it's an automated defense."
[16:19] <Swept_Wing> "We've been here for how long now?"
[16:20] * Astera turns and starts moving towards  the group again. "Well, we where suposed to make, ah, five ice deliveries I think it was.."
[16:22] * Astera nods. "So Im sure they'll come looking for us.. Eventually."
[16:23] <Swoop> "Its the Eventually part that gives pause."
[16:23] <Swept_Wing> "We've got nine and a half hours of air left, so hopefully they come before that."
[16:25] <Swoop> "So, what's the plan then? Stay here and wait or keep going?" She still hasn't turned around.
[16:25] <Swept_Wing> "Keep moving, that can't be the only way out of here."
[16:25] <Chameleon> "Well...There's only one way to go and maybe there is an exit somewhere up ahead."
[16:26] <Chameleon> "One iced over tunnel there has to be another one. right?"
[16:26] * Astera nods. "Agreed, we continue onwards."
[16:26] * Swoop nods and starts off again. "Least we don't need to choose a direction.
[16:26] <Swoop> "
[16:26] * Swept_Wing falls in next to his sister.
[16:27] * Chameleon trots after them
[16:33] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The tunnel continues on for some distance before a crossroad fades into sight on the edges of your light. Each of the three new tunnels continues on into more darkness.
[16:33] <Swoop> "Welp, decision time."
[16:34] <Chameleon> "Anypony got a bottle?"
[16:35] <Swoop> "Or a coin?"
[16:35] <Chameleon> "Well there's three new directions."
[16:36] <Swept_Wing> "I vote we keep going straight.
[16:36] <Swoop> "Don't say split up..."
[16:36] <Chameleon> "Hey gang lets spl- oh."
[16:37] * Astera rolls her eyes. "Splitting up would be bad, yeah... So.."
[16:38] <Swoop> "Straight sounds fine."
[16:39] <Astera> "Straight it is."
[16:39] * Swoop stays straight... no inuendo.
[16:40] <Chameleon> "Works for me."
[16:41] <Swept_Wing> "Let's plunge deeper then!"
[16:42] * Astera goes straight for that plunge!
[16:44] * Swoop plods on into the plunge.
[16:45] <GM||WavemasterRyx> As the team passes through the intersection, heading straight, it immediately catches Astera's eyes as the lights running through the cooridors begin to glow and pulse blue.
[16:45] * Swoop humms a certain tune... You've all heard it.
[16:46] * Swept_Wing hums along with Swoop.
[16:47] * Astera blinks and calls out to the others.. "Hold up.. The lights just started to glow." She says, pointing a hoof at them.
[16:47] * Swoop (IceChat9@Pony-d020rt.phnx.qwest.net) Quit ( Quit: Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day )
[16:47] * Chameleon stops "Hm?"
[16:48] <Astera> "I think it might be some sort of detection system.. Be careful."
[16:49] * Clara looks at the lights being pointed to. She doesn't like this one bit.
[16:49] * Swept_Wing frowns, his revolver coming out. "Move with caution."
[17:05] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Other than the lights coming on, nothing appears to be happening. The only thing any of you can hear is your own breathing inside the space suits.
[17:07] * Chameleon grumbles "This is finally getting creepy for me."
[17:08] * Clara agrees. "Very..."
[17:13] * Swept_Wing peers down the tunnel, frowning more as he moved forward slowly.
[17:16] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The tunnel continues on through the darkness, barely lit by the blue lights. You can see a gap ahead in the blue lights, just outside your light range.
[17:16] <Chameleon> "Mmmm, Ominous Gap~"
[17:17] <Swept_Wing> "Let's check it out, shall we?"
[17:18] * Clara follows slowly behind, since there's no place else to go.
[17:18] <Astera> "Because nothing says "be careful" as moving towards the gap." She says with a roll of her eyes.
[17:19] * Swept_Wing rolls his eyes, keeping his revolver aimed ahead of him as he moved forward.
[17:20] <GM||WavemasterRyx> As you close to within light range, the gap in the lights turns out to be another hallway heading off to the left.
[17:23] <Chameleon> "Mmm...Left or keep going?"
[17:25] <Swept_Wing> "What do you all say?"
[17:26] * Astera glances into each of the paths. "Uhm.. Keep moving straight? Dont want to get lost in here.."
[17:27] <Chameleon> "We should have brought string. Or crumbs. Or something."

[17:31] <Swoop> "We have maps, Cammy. I say left."
[17:31] <Chameleon> "...Oh yea."
[17:32] * Chameleon puffs out her cheeks and pouts

[17:33] <Astera> "has splitting up been a good idea, ever?"
[17:33] <Swoop> "Worked in cartoons, didn't it?"
[17:34] * Swept_Wing shrugs. "As long as we don't stray too far, we should be fine. I'm with Swoop on this."
[17:35] <Chameleon> "I am not a talking dog."
[17:35] <Chameleon> "Nor a hippy."
[17:35] <Chameleon> "Therefore I'm at least not the one that gets scared constantly."
[17:35] <Swoop> "I said nothing of the sort, Velma."
[17:37] * Swoop snickers. "So who's going which direction?"
[17:38] <Chameleon> "Gotta coin?

[17:40] * Astera nods slightly. "Splitting up still sounds like a terrible idea to me."
[17:42] <Swoop> "Ok, how about this: We split up and explore a hundred yards down each tunnel then come back. Whichever is more interesting we go down. Sound good?"
[17:44] <Chameleon> "I'm up for it."
[17:44] * Clara shakes her head slightly. "Why don't we just... pick one?"
[17:44] <Swoop> "Saves time.
[17:44] <Swoop> "
[17:45] <Astera> "Alright. Ill go straight in that case, meet you back here in a bit." She says and starts to head towards the path.
[17:45] <Chameleon> "I'll go left then."
[17:45] * Chameleon scampers off down the left tunnel
[17:46] <Swoop> "Which you want bro?"
[17:47] * Swept_Wing shrugs. "Left's fine."
[17:47] <Swoop> "Straight I am then. Take Clara with you. Think she likes you." She winks then heads off after Astera.
[17:48] * Swept_Wing blinkity blinks. "...Come on Clara." He turns down the left tunnel.
[17:49] * Swoop can be heard snickering down the tunnel.
[17:50] * Clara follows. She still doesn't like splitting up.
[17:53] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Down the left tunnel, the team sees another left a short distance away. Astera and Swoop heading down the straight tunnel can see another gap in the lights on the right.
[17:53] * Swept_Wing frowns, heading for the gap.
[17:54] * Swoop trots up to the gap expectantly.
[17:55] * Astera trotts after Swoop. "Seeing anything?"
[17:57] * Swept_Wing peers down the gap in his tunnel. This was getting to be a maze of sorts.
[17:59] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Neither Swoop nor Astera see anything out of the ordinary, but as Swoop approaches the side-tunnel, she begins to hear something very faint, like static, but patterned.
[17:59] * Swoop twitches an ear. "I hear something..."
[17:59] * Swept_Wing sees a wall.
[17:59] <Swept_Wing> "Welp."
[18:00] * Astera perks up. "...something, huh?" She glances back to where the two paths met. "We should go back.. That was the plan."
[18:00] <Swoop> "Are we a hundred yards in yet?"
[18:01] <Astera> "Uhm. Maybe we can go a little further."
[18:02] * Swoop nods and keeps going, keeping her ears perked for the sound.
[18:02] <GM||WavemasterRyx> As Swept, Cammy, and Clara look around, they don't see anything except lots of ice. While still slightly inhebriated, Cammy turns too fast and ends up hitting her helmet against one of the tunnel walls, giving it a small crack.
[18:03] * Chameleon smacks into a wall and falls back on her plot, sliding away a few feet "Ooooow..."
[18:04] * Swept_Wing winces. "You alright there?"
[18:04] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Though Clara does manage to notice, in the midst of the excitement, that the tunnel turns sharply to the right a short distance ahead.
[18:05] <Chameleon> "I think..." She checks to make sure her helmet isn't damaged
[18:08] * Astera trots after Swoop into the tunnel. Trying not to think about something sounding like the wind.
[18:11] <GM||WavemasterRyx> As far as Cammy can tell, her helmet is safe, since she can still breath. Her immense mechanical knowlegde says the only proper way to test if it's secure is to hit it again.
[18:12] * Swept_Wing shrugs. "Let's keep moving, we haven't gon 100 yards quite yet." He starts down the tunnel again, towards the bend.
[18:13] * Chameleon taps her helmet against the wall
[18:16] <GM||WavemasterRyx> As Swoop and Astera head into the right branch of the tunnel, the sound starts to grow louder as the pair find themselves with a T intersection. Astera can hear it now too, there's a definite pattern to the sound.
[18:17] * Chameleon follows Swept_Wing
[18:17] <Swoop> "What direction is it coming from..."
[18:17] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The mask of Cammy's helmet makes a nice crunchy sound as she taps it against the wall, and the crack grows slightly, but it doesn't leak.
[18:17] <Chameleon> "...Oh fuck."
[18:18] * Swept_Wing sighs and just keeps moving, rounding the bend.
[18:24] <GM||WavemasterRyx> It takes Swoop a few moments, but she's finally able to tell it's coming from the left. As Swept moves around the bend to the right, he finds a large, vaulted room. Walls of ice run through it in several places, multitudes of shevles cut into them, more than enough space to fit a pony lying down.
[18:25] <Swept_Wing> "Hoooleeee shit."
[18:25] <Swoop> "Left. How far are we in?"
[18:26] * Swept_Wing sweeps his gaze across the room, and heads for one of the shevles.
[18:26] * Astera looks uncertain into the left pathway. "I.. Am not sure, I think it is safe to go a little further. At the first point of danger we turn, alright?"
[18:27] <Swoop> "Deal." She turns and heads left.
[18:29] * Chameleon stops and just watches Swept_Wing. Well, watches him and keeps looking at the crack in her mask.
[18:31] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Just from the doorway alone, Swept can see dozens of shelves, and from the size of the room, there's easily enough space for 100 or more. The shelf is flat, cold ice. It wouldn't be very comfortable to lie down on at all, but you could, and still have half again your length in room. The crack in Cammy's mask probably looks worse than it is. These masks are /supposed/ to be impact resistant, and your oxygen meter is still at normal levels.
[18:33] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Swoop's hallway continues for a small distance before you see it open up into darkness at the edge of your light. The pattern of the static sound has changed slightly as you've been trotting along.
[18:34] <GM||WavemasterRyx> *These masks are /supposed/ to be impact resistant, and your oxygen meter is still at normal levels.
[18:34] <Swoop> "Wonder what we're heading to."
[18:35] * Swept_Wing frowns. He looks for another way out of the room. "This is strange." He mutters.
[18:37] <Astera> "I have no idea.. Maybe we'll find the drill?"
[18:37] <Chameleon> "What's that?"
[18:38] <Swept_Wing> "This is strange, I said. Why the hell are shelves here? And why are they pony sized..."
[18:38] * Swoop shrugs, the starts singing softly to herself. "..wanna be big rock stars...(humming)...fifteen cars, the mares come easy and the Dash comes cheap... skinny cause we just wont eat.."
[18:39] <GM||WavemasterRyx> As Swept looks around, he doesn't find any other exits to the room, but on a few of the shelves he finds small bundles of tattered cloth with 9-sided metal disks inside them, most with strange gouges in one side.
[18:39] * Chameleon wiggles "They're changeling sized too!"
[18:40] * Swept_Wing trots over to one, picking it up slowly and examining it. "The hell?"
[18:41] * Chameleon trots over
[18:43] * Astera dosnt know the song, but enjoys it, especialy now, any distraction from this creepy tunnel was welcomed.
[18:47] <GM||WavemasterRyx> As Swoop and Astera approch the room, it turns out to be fairly small, with a bench-like seat in front of a terminal on each wall. The walls are covered in various sized terminals, scrolling unintelligible script. One is lined with the same blue, pulsing lights from the hallway, a speaker beneath it is where the sound seems to be coming from.
[18:47] <Swoop> "...well. There's no drill."
[18:50] * Astera trots up towards the speaker. And eyes the terminals for a while. "No.. It is not, but what is it?" She mumbles to herself as she places a hoof on one of the terminals.
[18:51] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Looking at the metal bits, the first thing that came to mind was that they might be money of some kind, but they don't seem nearly organized or uniform enough for that.
[18:52] * Swoop trots up to another terminal. "I have no idea."
[18:52] * Swept_Wing frowns intensely. "I have no clue what this is. Might be some form of currency? I dunno."
[18:53] * Chameleon pokes one
[18:53] <Chameleon> "I 'unno"
[18:57] * Astera gives the speaker a final look. "Well.. I guess there is nothing else in here.. Best we turn back.."
[18:58] <Swept_Wing> "Well, there's nothing else in here, let's head back."
[18:59] * Swoop looks around once more.
[19:00] * Chameleon nodnods "Kay..."
[19:05] * Swept_Wing turns around, and starts heading back the way they came.
[19:06] <Swoop> "Yeah, suppose we should..."
[19:06] * Chameleon follows
[19:06] * Astera nods and starts to head back..
[19:07] * Swoop takes one last glance around before following.
[19:09] <GM||WavemasterRyx> When Swoop turns to take one last look, everything seems to be continuing as it had when they'd arrived, but as she turns and starts down the hall after Astera, the static sound suddenly stops.
[19:10] * Swoop stops with the static, then turns and looks back.
[19:11] * Astera freezes up and glances over her shoulder. "..."
[19:11] <Swoop> "That cannot be good..."
[19:11] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The monitor surrounded by the blue light is now blank, the streaming text gone.
[19:11] * Chameleon reaches the intersection and sits down against the wall
[19:11] * Swept_Wing heads back into the main tunnel, stopping when he didn't see Swoop or Astera. "Hmmm."
[19:12] <Chameleon> "Give them a few minutes they're probably on the way back. Check their tags on your pipbuck."
[19:13] * Swept_Wing nods, looking down at his PipBuck and checking their tags.
[19:14] * Astera moves back to the terminal. "It stopped glowing.. Did you press any buttons?"
[19:14] <Swoop> "My hooves never left the floor."
[19:16] * Astera blinks. "Strange.. Its like it knew we where here.." She says cautiously, almost whispering. She starts to move back again, towards the junction where the party had split.
[19:16] * Swoop blinks. "Like... what... knew?"
[19:18] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Astera and Swoop's tags are still there, like good tags should be.
[19:19] * Swept_Wing paces back and forth across the tunnel, his revolver floating next to him in his suit's manipulation field, keeping an eye out for anything amiss.

[19:30] * Astera and Swoop are probebly comming around the corner by now.

[19:31] * Swoop is looking back down the tunnel as she returns.
[19:33] * Astera waves a forehoof at the others and moves up to them. "Hey.."
[19:34] * Swept_Wing waves back. "What'd yah find?"
[19:34] <Swoop> "More mystery."
[19:35] * Astera glances back. "A room filled with terminals.. "
[19:37] <Swept_Wing> "Huh, well, we found this big room with a bunch of pony-sized shelves, and this." He pulls out the metal thing.
[19:37] * Chameleon belatedly retroactively follows Swept_Wing :troll:
[19:37] * Swoop looks at the metal thing. "What is it?"
[19:39] <Swept_Wing> "No idea."
[19:39] <Swoop> "We'll let command have a look at it. Anything else?"
[19:40] <Swept_Wing> "Nothin'. We still need to find a way out of here though."
[19:40] * Astera nods. "Lets try one of the other tunnels.."
[19:42] * Swoop nods. "Which one?"
[19:43] * Astera smiles sheepishly. "Flip a bit?"
[19:44] * Swoop grins. "Left my wallet on the ship."
[19:45] * Astera rolls her eyes, smiling she shakes her head a little. "Oh well, lets just go back and pick one."
[19:46] * Swept_Wing nods. "Sounds fine to me, let's move."
[19:46] * Astera does just that.
[19:46] * Chameleon follows!
[19:46] * Swoop falls in, taking one last look down the tunnel.
[19:47] * Swept_Wing heads back to the crossroads.
[19:48] * Astera glances left and right before making a delibirate turn and going right. "Right, right?"
[19:49] <Swept_Wing> "Sounds fine to me."
[19:51] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Heading down the right passage, the team quickly comes upon another opening to the right, beyond which the hallway continues.
[19:53] * Astera continues! "I guess.. If there are no other exit, we could always try to use the gatling laser at the ice.."
[19:54] <Swoop> "Good call."
[19:55] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The hallway continues for another length before ending in a doorway. Beyond the doorway however is barely enough space to fit a pony, it looks like they'd started to drill out a room, but never finished.
[19:56] <Chameleon> "Well that was anti-climactic."
[19:56] <Swoop> "Very. Now what?"
[19:56] * Astera blinks. "Thats.. It, huh?" Sighing she shakes her head. "I guess.. We go back?"
[19:57] <Chameleon> "Go back try the other passageway."
[19:57] * Swept_Wing frowns. "I suppose."
[19:57] * Astera nods.
[19:57] * Swoop turns n heads back.
[19:57] * Swept_Wing follows.
[19:57] <Chameleon> "If that one doesn't pan out, Gatling laser meet ice."
[19:57] * Chameleon follows
[20:03] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Going past the entrance and down the other hall, the team finds another path branching off to the left, and in mirror of the previous hall, a room at the end. This room is finished though, with another large shelf on one side.
[20:03] <Swept_Wing> "Another shelf, great."
[20:03] <Chameleon> "Does it have more thingies?"
[20:03] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Swept's eye is drawn to gouges in the wall of the shelf, while Chameleon's is drawn to dark purple spots spattered across the floor.
[20:03] <Swoop> "Look familiar to you guys?"
[20:04] * Chameleon trots over to the purple spots
[20:04] <Swept_Wing> "And it looks like something was attacked here too."
[20:05] <Chameleon> "Purple blood?"
[20:05] * Swept_Wing sweeps his gaze over the rest of the room before trotting over to the shelf, examining the gouges. "Something big by the size of these gouges."
[20:05] * Swoop pulls her pistol and starts scanning for targets.
[20:06] * Astera gets this sudden urge to raise her shield. Glancing back at the corridor from where they came.
[20:06] * Chameleon suddenly really doesn't like that her gun is broken...
[20:06] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The gouges are actually very reminiscent of those you saw on the metal plates, some shapes seem similar at least.
[20:06] * Swept_Wing has had his revolver drawn for awhile now.
[20:06] * Chameleon is unarmed.
[20:07] * Chameleon completely :I
[20:07] <Swept_Wing> "Hmmmm, they're similar to the markings on that metal piece... odd..."
[20:08] * Swoop turns and covers the entrance. "guys, we should get out of here ASAP."
[20:08] * Astera looks around the room. "This was the last passageway, right? There dosnt seem to be  another way out.."
[20:09] <Chameleon> "Gatling laser meet ice time?"
[20:09] <Swept_Wing> "Do it."
[20:09] * Swoop starts leading the way back to the entrance.
[20:10] * Swept_Wing falls in behind Swoop.
[20:10] * Astera follows Swoop, already hovering the gatling laser next to her.
[20:10] * Chameleon trots behind
[20:10] * Chameleon is the last pony. that's the second worse place to be.
[20:11] <GM||WavemasterRyx> With just the sound of your own breathing in your ears, the team returns to where the entered the tunnel. You can see light coming just a little through whatever is covering the entrance.
[20:12] <Chameleon> "mmmm, light~"
[20:12] <Swoop> "Command's gonna be pissed that we didn't get more ice..."
[20:12] <Astera> "Alright, stand back..."
[20:12] <Swept_Wing> "They can go suck it, we got trapped in a damned tunnel."
[20:12] <Swoop> "Fair point. Hit it. Astera!"
[20:13] * Astera fires a barrage of lasershots at the point where they had entered.
[20:16] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The shots impact the door with surprising precision. Each impact makes the door ballon outward a little, the same way it had when they were breaking in, and once again, after the final shot it pops open, revealing the cart and the snow drifts outside.
[20:17] <Swept_Wing> "Alright! Everpony out!"
[20:17] * Chameleon scampers out!
[20:17] * Astera blinks. "Somepony tell me why we didnt do this inthe first place?" She says as she starts to head outside.
[20:17] * Swoop moves to the entrance, then turns and covers everyone else. "Because that wouln't have been as fun."
[20:17] <Chameleon> "The thrill of exploring?
[20:18] <Swept_Wing> "Something like that." He covers the others with Swoop.
[20:21] * Astera suddenly remembers that some of this area was pretty unstable. She slows down to a easy trot as she moves up to the cart. "Anyway... I guess we should finish the mission and gather the ice?"
[20:21] <Swoop> I'll stick to making sure we don't get ambushed. Those lances are a bitch to work with..."
[20:21] <Swoop> "
[20:22] * Chameleon doesn't know how to use a lance!
[20:23] * Astera has a lot of built up tension from those tunnels, she takes said tension out on the ice, blasting it into chunks with the gatling laser.
[20:24] * Swept_Wing nods, moving over to Swoop. "If you want to watch the tunnel entrance, I'll keep an eye on the plains."
[20:25] * Swoop nods, not taking her eyes off the entrance.
[20:26] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The ice explodes readily under the heavy fire from Astera's gatling laser, sending big chunks soaring to the ground.
[20:28] * Swept_Wing moves out to his position he had been keeping earlier, staring over the snow-swept plains.
[20:28] * Chameleon tries to pounce on the ice. it's not very effective.
[20:31] <GM||WavemasterRyx> After a few moments, Swoop watches as the entrance seals itself back up. Swept's trained eyes peer out over the snow, but the only movement he sees is snow flitting about in the gentle breeze. The ice totally gets pounced, and pounced good.
[20:32] * Swept_Wing humms to himself a little tune.
[20:32] * Swoop blinks. "Is it good that this thing just closed itself?"
[20:32] * Astera fails another wingshrug and continues to blast the ice..
[20:33] * Chameleon just takes ice that Astera is freeing and takes it to the cart
[20:38] <GM||WavemasterRyx> After a minute of solid lasering, there's plenty of ice loose to fill up a full cart's worth, and Cammy has made a good start on getting it loaded.
[20:41] * Astera helps Cammy load the cart with her telekenisis. Magic, so usefull. :I
[20:42] * Swoop keeps her eye on the now closed tunnel. "We done yet?"
[20:44] <GM||WavemasterRyx> While scanning the horizon, a spot of red catches Swept's attention. At first he passed it off as light glinting from Astera's gatling laser, only it didn't go away. When he looks back, he sees two small streaks of red, glowing through the clouds.
[20:45] * Swept_Wing lifts his PPC. "Guys! We've got company! No idea what it is!"
[20:45] * Swoop turns. "Where at?"
[20:46] * Astera finishes loading the last peices ontop of the cart and turns to look aswell.
[20:46] * Swept_Wing points. "There! 10 degrees above the horizon and closing fast."
[20:47] * Swoop trots over to stand next to Swept, and spots the light. "Day gets better n better."
[20:47] * Chameleon looks up as she drops another chunk of ice into the cart "Uhhh. That's not good right?"
[20:48] * Swept_Wing peers down his scope towards the incoming things. "Yep, sure does. Get everypony back to the ship, I'll see if I can draw it off."
[20:48] * Swoop nods. "Don't go getting yourself left behind."
[20:49] * Chameleon hitches herself up to the cart "Cammy express coming through!"
[20:49] <Swept_Wing> "Move it!"
[20:49] * Swoop turns and leads the way back to the gate. "Let's go ponies!"
[20:50] * Astera blinks. "We dont even know if its unfriendly!" She calls out but makes her way over towards the gate aswell, casting glances at the streaks of red.
[20:50] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Through his scope, Swept sees what looks like two shooting stars, although their dark cores are moving slowly and not burning up. The clouds make it harder to make out further details.
[20:50] <Swoop> "Better to assume hostile than be wrong later."
[20:50] * Chameleon starts moving towards the gate
[20:51] * Swept_Wing takes a defensive stance, walking slowly backwards towards the gate. "Come at me bro!"
[20:56] <GM||WavemasterRyx> As Swept watches, another streak slowly appears trailing a short distance after the first two. Then another two.
[20:56] <Swept_Wing> "Oh shit... THERE'S MORE! GET OUTTA HERE!"
[20:57] * Swoop looks back. "Luna fuck me with her horn.. MOVE!"
[20:58] * Chameleon has to pull a cart damn it!
[20:58] * Astera does just that. Moving, that is.
[21:00] * Swept_Wing continues backing towards the gate, abliet at a much slower pace than the others.
[21:00] <GM||WavemasterRyx> By the time you reach the gate, the red glow is starting to fade from the objects as they finish passing through the atmosphere.
[21:01] * Swoop watches the objects. "Who's got the dialer?"
[21:01] * Astera dials the shit out of that gate.
[21:01] * Chameleon pipshrugs "Doesn't Astera usually have it?"
[21:01] <Astera> "Already on it."
[21:03] <GM||WavemasterRyx> The gate spins just as slowly and deliberately as ever. Lighting up each coordinate as it connects to Destiny, finally, the portal exploding to life and settling into the stable passage.
[21:04] <Swoop> "Cammy, Get that ice thru. We're right behind."
[21:05] * Swept_Wing keeps his aimed trained on the falling things, whatever they were.
[21:05] <Swept_Wing> aim*]
[21:05] * Chameleon scampers through
[21:05] * Astera follows Chameleon.
[21:05] <Swoop> "Aster next!"
[21:06] <Swoop> Astera*
[21:07] * Swoop watches the alicorn go thru as she speaks. "Okay, never mind. You next bro."
[21:07] * Swept_Wing is further out than Swoop. He shakes his head. "Get on the ship sis!"
[21:08] <Swoop> "Age before beauty!"
[21:08] * Astera imediately removes her helmet as she apears on the other side of the gate.
[21:08] * GM||WavemasterRyx chucks Clara through the gate while nopony is looking
[21:09] <Swept_Wing> "You're closer, go!"
[21:10] * Swoop rolls her eyes. "Somepony's gotta cover you while you run back, now stop wasting time!"
[21:11] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Back on Destiny, Commander Daylight and the ghoul unicorn are waiting. Daylight nods to Cammy and Astera in turn, "Another nice... uh... is your team okay?"
[21:11] * Swept_Wing takes a step backwards towards the gate. "JUST DO IT!"
[21:11] <Chameleon> "The sky was falling."
[21:11] * Chameleon is unhitching herself from the cart.
[21:11] * Swoop doesn't answer, just waits, watching the sky.
[21:12] * Astera nods. "And we found traces of ah, something. Buried in the ice, terminals of some sort."
[21:13] * Swept_Wing fires a pair of shots before turning and sprinting for the gate, grabbing Swoop and throwing her through before diving through himself.
[21:13] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Back on the planet, the dark cores of the falling objects are getting somewhat larger, starting to visibly disturb the clouds. Daylight nods, "Well, we'll have to send word back for a team to check it out. Right now this water is important enough on its own."
[21:14] * Swoop lands in a heap on the other side. "Ugh. That was unnecessarry, you ass! I was waiting for you!"
[21:15] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Dalight blinks hard, "The... sky was falling... Private?"
[21:15] * Swept_Wing grumbles picking himself up from the floor. "Sheesh."
[21:15] * Astera heads towards the armory to get out of this suit.
[21:16] * Swoop pulls off her helmet. "I mean seriously! Throwing me for covering your sorry flank back to the pickup? Is that what they taught you in that fancy officer school?"
[21:16] <Chameleon> "Comets. Or meteors."
[21:16] * Swept_Wing yanks his helmet off. "Last one out is what they taught me."
[21:16] <Chameleon> "Either way, flaming balls of death."
[21:17] <Swoop> "Right, good plan, manhandle your troops who are just keeping you alive if necessary. Brilliant work."
[21:18] <Swept_Wing> "Youe welcome."
[21:18] <Swept_Wing> You're*]
[21:18] <Swoop> "You're still an ass."
[21:18] * Swept_Wing chuckles. "I know, you remind me everyday."
[21:18] <Chameleon> "Is cammy gonna have to put some ponies in time out?"
[21:19] * Astera wiggles out of her enviormental suit, doublechecks her barding and stretches slightly. Flapping her wings twice she moves out of the armory again, back towards teh gate.
[21:20] * Swoop sheds her own sui, then walks over to Daylight. "Mission accomplished, to an extent."
[21:21] * Chameleon sheds her suit and wiggles happily "Much better~"
[21:22] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Daylight nods a little, looking between you all before motioning for the unicorn to take the cart down to processing, "Metors? Well I guess that puts the investigation and any return trips out of the question... You lot did good work though. Go ahead and turn in the suits and equipment and return to your quarters, I'll call for a full debriefing later."
[21:23] * Swoop salutes then takes her suit back to the correct storage.
[21:23] <Chameleon> "Mmmk."
[21:23] * Astera overhears Daylight as she comes back from the armory. She turns on the spot and moves towards her quarters.
[21:23] * Chameleon trots off to put her suit back
[21:25] * Chameleon goes to her roooooom for naaaaaaaps. she needs to sleep off the last of the alcohol. aaaaand the hangover if she can manage it.
[21:25] <GM||WavemasterRyx> Daylight gives a small salute and trots off down the hallway between the stairs to the next level
[21:26] * Swoop turns in the suit and heads back to her own quarters.
[21:29] <GM||WavemasterRyx> A short time later, you can all feel as Destiny jumps back into FTL.
[21:30] * Swoop has her music cranked up, door closed.
[21:31] * Astera puts the gatling laser on the table in her room, wiggles out of her barding, spreading the gear all over the floor and flops onto the bed for a nap.
[21:32] * Chameleon somehow sheds all of her equipment as she leaps through the air into her bed. Mmmm soft bed. like floating on a cl-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
[21:37] * Swept_Wing also put all his stuff back, and had combed his moustache. He had switched out his ESC uniform for his old EFA one, which he had resewn the correct ranks onto. He was now standing outside of Swoop's room, knocking loudly on her door. "Swoop, can we talk a minute?"
[21:37] * Swoop turns down the volume. "You here to apologize??
[21:37] <Swoop> "
[21:38] <Swoop> [negate the second ?]
[21:38] <Swept_Wing> "I'm here to ask you what's wrong."
[21:39] <Swoop> "Why should anything be wrong?"
[21:41] <Swept_Wing> "Because, I know when something's bugging you."
[21:41] <Swoop> "Was that before or after you decided to chuck me thru an inter-planetary gateway?"
[21:42] * Swept_Wing chuckles. "Both."
[21:43] * Swoop hesitates. "..I'm fine. Couldn't be better."
[21:44] * Swept_Wing nudges the door open. "Really? Because you don't seem like it." He steps inside, smiling gently at Swoop.

[22:03] * Swoop hugs back. "Doesn't listen."
[22:05] * Astera rolls over onto her back in her sleep.
[22:06] <Swept_Wing> "Don't listen to it then." He ruffles Swoop's mane. "Feeling better?"
[22:07] * Swoop smiles. "Little bit..."
[22:08] * Swept_Wing smiles back. "That's better than not at all."

[22:10] <Swept_Wing> "Good, want me to tuck you in?" He asks with a little grin.
