  9. Juan: Now, let's just take a minute here...
  10.
  11. Clayton just shakes his head, that dawn lizard almost made him vaporize a friendly... He took several deep breath to calm himself
  12.
  13. Jonathan Sommer raises a fist over Juan.
  14.
  15. Valerie P. Awsum: It will heal up... I think. Reptilian mutants have wonderful regeneration capabilities
  16.
  17. Clayton eyes the bat, is it schitzo too?
  18.
  19. GM (GM): The bat is heavily wounded and limping away. It appears he is done for today.
  20. Cassidy apparently is weeping over the tiger's ashes
  21. Jerks of a feather, you suppose
  22.
  23. Clayton approaches the bat, watching him for a moment before turning to Val. "We got more wounded here Val."
  24.
  25. GM (GM): The bat hasn't gone new age horror on you, so he might not be cra cra
  26.
  27. Valerie P. Awsum gets up and points her rifle at Juan "Speaking of which... no point of bandaging you. You can't run as well when you're wounded."
  28.
  29. GM (GM): ((Oh yeah, the three gunshot wounds.))
  30.
  31. Valerie P. Awsum turns to Clay and looks down "You best stay here or else I'll show you how good my aim has gotten."
  32.
  33. Jonathan Sommer lets out a breath.
  34.
  35. Jonathan Sommer: "Can someone hold 'em for me?"
  36.
  37. GM (GM): Juan remains silent.
  38.
  39. Earrtet Acroud : "So does this mean I'm gonna test if i need to eat from this hole on Juan now?"
  40.
  41. Silber stands stalwart, glaring at the lizard
  42.
  43. Silber: "Make a move, and you will never move again. I promise you."
  44.
  45. GM (GM): ((Threatens of devouring, a good interrogation tactic.))
  46.
  47. Juan wishes he was a chamleon now.
  48.
  49. Valerie P. Awsum walks slowly towards the bat
  50.
  51. Jonathan Sommer stands up and approaches Cassidy, keeping one eye on Juan.
  52.
  53. Clayton moves to stop the path in it's slow path. "Hold on... we got a medic."
  54.
  55. Clayton: ech
  56. (( brb ))
  57.
  58. GM (GM): The bat raises in eyebrow, apparently not expecting such generosity.
  59.
  60. Earrtet Acroud : "So Juan you know how I have you say, eaten some forbidden food along our journy, I've never done it to an alive person

  70.
  71. Clayton just shrugs, "We all about tired now, we didn't even rally want to fight you guys in the first place.... speaking of which... How did your friend... go so crazy there?"
  72.
  73. Bateman: He had been twitching after afew scuffles but after the shower thing with you guys he went up here and just got angrier and angrier. Like a fury or something
  74.
  75. GM (GM): Then he convulsed and started ripping into us!
  76.
  77. Clayton frowns, "How long, has he been twitching like you said?.. after any notable event?"
  78.
  79. Valerie P. Awsum: How much stress has he been under
  80.
  81. Bat: Bouts of violent outbursts, sweats, nightmares, erratic behavior including attacking friendlies, more violent outbursts, self-harm... Kinda normal for him.
  82. It had been going on for about...A few weeks.
  83.
  84. Valerie P. Awsum nods "Typical. The subject in question that broke down was put under severe-trauma inducing conditions to the point of few mental breakdowns... and well a short while after his last he just went crazy on the facility and we had to burn it down
  85.
  86. GM (GM): The Bat holds out his arm/wings and says, "This much."
  87.
  88. Clayton exchanges glances with Val, "Crazy people die after getting blown to a pulp... This..."
  89.
  90. Bat: ...Is a good reason to get drunk and forget all this happened.
  91.
  92. Valerie P. Awsum shrugs "Do you think we sent probes to recover anything after we burnt the place down? We were afraid cause he was tearing mutts left and right taunting us."
  93.
  94. Clayton manages a chuckle. "Perhaps so... but not before you're treated."
  95.
  96. GM (GM): Juan has gotten to his feet.
  97.
  98. Valerie P. Awsum: Either way, Bats, show me where it hurts
  99.
  100. Silber raises his arm
  101.
  102. GM (GM): The bat gestures to his broken arm.Jonathan Sommer: "You gonna be fine, Cass?"GM
  103.
  104. (GM): ((You can choose whether you want to roll for medical or not with the bat.))

  116.
  117. Clayton crouches, holding down his legs. He tries to reassure the bat. "better than the alternative eh?"
  118.
  119. GM (GM): The bat chants "Pain is the mind killer, pain is the mindkiller."
  120.
  121. Valerie P. Awsum: .A week in a splint and you'll be good...

  140.
  141. Juan: You bastard!
  142.
  143. Silber swivels toward Earrtet. "Are you mad?! He is prisoner, not lunch!" He moves to deliver a disciplinary blow to the croc

  399. Valerie P. Awsum rubs her face "...God. I hate women."

  403. GM (GM): Cass glares at you and says, "What?"

  405. Valerie P. Awsum goes back to Clay "Well let's get that other suit then."
  406.
  407. Jonathan Sommer: "I think you, uh, dropped something."

  409. Jonathan Sommer reaches into his pocket and pulls out the ring.
  410.
  411. Clayton gestures inside Dentown, "This way..." He motions for Silber to follow once more.
  412.
  413. GM (GM): The ferret goes into shock. She takes the ring and walks slowly back to the hole, not knowing how to react.
  414.
  415. Clayton: "Be forewarned, The guy who had the suits didn't want to sell them..."

  427.
  428. Clayton: (( I don't think I grabbed the second one. ))
  429.
  430. GM (GM): Well, it's not like a giant feat.

  434.

  437. Earrtet Acroud : Earrtet scurrys to Juans dead body "So does anyone have a knife?"
  438.
  439. Valerie P. Awsum looks at Clay "You're not trying to pick me up right?"
  440.
  441. Valerie P. Awsum narrows her eyes
  442.
  443. Clayton sighs, "No, but in my experience, people tend to get... paranoid around these suits. best to remain discrete where possible."
  444.
  445. Clayton: "Head to the transport when you're done... I gotta 'rally the troops'."

  469. Martin Baron: (( Shit, I was totally gonna hit her up ))
  470.

  480.
  481. Hershel revs his engines "Tell me where you wanna go, already." He blurts.
  482.
  483. Earrtet Acroud : "Well my names Earrtet."
  484.
  485. GM (GM): Who controls barter town?!
  486.
  487. Martin Baron: ( I do? )
  488.
  489. Silber retrieves Martin, setting him atop one of his shoulder pads.
  490.
  491. GM (GM): That or you crawl, or your ride slugman
  492.
  493. Valerie P. Awsum puts on her helmet and adjusts her freuqncy to Hershel "Transport unit, give me your designation, place of origin and
  494. anything you have in the databank
  495.
  496. Earrtet Acroud : (Gm how much in inhuman flesh did i get to bring with me to eat?)
  497.
  498. Clayton cuts in, "belay that Hershel."
  499.
  500. Martin Baron: ( Dammit, I need to woo someone. I'm shouting down the hole, maybe she can hear me screaming at her. )
  501.
  502. GM (GM): (Counting the parts you already snapped off him in the biting, about two days of flesh.
  503.
  504. Valerie P. Awsum looks over at Clay "I want to know if it's clean."
  505.
  506. GM (GM): (At this point I'd advise everyone to sleep in their body armor around this guy!)
  507.
  508. Valerie P. Awsum: It's not like you have the codes
  509.
  510. Clayton is hesitant to act. ""I don't like transmitting settlement coordinates over topsider equipment. Keep those localized... alright?"
  511.
  512. Martin Baron: ( I'm already missing my legs, there's nothing good left for Earrtet to eat. )
  513.
  514. Valerie P. Awsum groans "Okay, audible information, no transmission. Enable standard IFF codes for Outpost 12
  515.
  516. Valerie P. Awsum: You know Clay, with this we could sneak up deep into Topsider territory.
  517.
  518. Clayton takes a seat in the front. "Don't worry Hershel. I'm authorizing her." He leans back in his chair, " and about how long until they notice you aren't human or that I'm not one of them?"
  519.
  520. GM (GM): Hershel, Ah, verbal.
  521.
  522. Valerie P. Awsum: Codes are changed each month.
  523.
  524. Martin Baron thanks Silber, still upset over being a huge liability. Though, perhaps not as much as he was just a few weeks ago...
  525.
  526. Valerie P. Awsum: Unless they know you're coming...
  527.
  528. Hershel: Super Green Communities: About 40 ticks south of here. Date of Capture: Entry not recognized. Date of Processing: Query not recognized.
  529.
  530. Silber: "It is no problem little one, anything for a poor disabled child!"
  531.
  532. Valerie P. Awsum frowns "I don't like it... it might have tracking module installed."
  533.
  534. Earrtet Acroud : Laughter of Earrtet can be hear from what Sliber said
  535.
  536. Martin Baron responds to Silber with a silent, disgusted frown. "I think I'd prefer crawling now. Never mind the glass and jagged metal on the ground, I don't care anymore."
  537.
  538. Hershel: Oh sure, it's right in my big fat trunk. Listen lady, I'm a thinking bot, stop with the IR trans talk and just speak normal like!
  539. I'm a Rogue Bull! I obey now inquire requests!
  540.
  541. Clayton is having a good schadenfreude
  542.
  543. Hershel: in the winds of wastes I've found my freedom! I seek only one thing: To ride!
  544.
  545. GM (GM): hershel then accelerates right up to the possom and stops just short, kicking dust!
  546.
  547. Hershel: Who. Wants. A. Ride?
  548.
  549. Silber glances at Martin, "Fear not, You can do plenty with part of you gone... Look at me!"
  550.
  551. Earrtet Acroud : Earrtet enter the ride.*
  552.
  553. Clayton buckles himself up in the front
  554.
  555. Earrtet Acroud : "I hope there a kitchen in here."
  556.
  557. Valerie P. Awsum rolls her eyes "You know few years ago I would've put your brain in the storage for such transgressions... these days I don't give a $%^#!"
  558.
  559. Martin Baron: "Just put me on the murder-bus before I have a part of you gone." Martin grumbles.
  560.
  561. Silber moves to board the transporter
  562.
  563. Hershel: Makes two of us! All aboard! In speed we will find our answers!
  564.
  565. designation?
  566.
  567. Clayton: "Hershel, take us to Deep City."
  568.
  569. Deep City!
  570.
  571. Martin Baron: ( It got turned into a parking lot )
  572.
  573. Earrtet Acroud : "You guys think I can lower the setting ot this gun and make a small hot pot?"
  574.
  575. Jonathan Sommer: ((Well, isn't this nostalgic))
  576.
  577. Clayton: (( Hey looks its cluade- oh... ))
  578.
  579. Valerie P. Awsum: (( Claude should be in Deep City ))
  580.
  581. Jonathan Sommer scratches his head. "What're we here for?"
  582.
  583. Martin Baron: "Thanks for bringing me here... Silber, can you take me to that building?" Martin asks, pointing towards the building he believes Everett now works.
  584. ( Dropping me off )
  585.
  586. GM (GM): Ah, okay
  587.
  588. Silber nods, Clayton follows the robot inside.
  589.
  590. Valerie P. Awsum looks around "Huh... why didn't our scanners pick it up."
  591.
  592. Clayton motions for Val to stay put or come with him. Too much trouble she could stir walking around here.
  593.
  594. Valerie P. Awsum shrugs and follows Clay
  595.
  596. GM (GM): Sorry, had to set up
  597.
  598. Clayton: (( So Martin, Silber, Val, and I are heading to see Everett... ))
  599.
  600. Jonathan Sommer notices Claude and checks up on him.
  601.
  602. Martin Baron looks back to see Val following. He wants to say something, but keeps quiet. Hopefully neither will murder each other once they meet.
  603.
  604. GM (GM): You return to DC!
  605.
  606. Martin Baron: ( This is now becoming "The land where all retired PCs go", isn't it? )
  607.
  608. GM (GM): It looks like some clean up has taken place since last time.
  609.
  610. Clayton: (( Little do you know, they are half of the population. ))
  611.
  612. GM (GM): ( Also, mostly Suule's characters.))
  613. ((DC: "Yeah, I was an adventurer once...Once!)
  614.
  615. Earrtet Acroud : "So guys is there any condiment for sale here let me know."
  616.
  617. Martin Baron: ( After what happened last time, probably yeah )
  618.
  619. Clayton: (( Try the sock market ))
  620.
  621. Valerie P. Awsum: So... what is this place. Looks like a huge colony
  622.
  623. Martin Baron: ( I'm so glad we still remember that mistake )
  624.
  625. Valerie P. Awsum: More advanced than what we usually encountered
  626.
  627. Clayton nods, "from what I've gathered, this place is pretty much exactly as the name implies, a sunken part of a city."
  628.
  629. GM (GM): ((Oh yeah, this character hasn't seen a colony... Or mutants not in a state of terror...))
  630.
  631. Valerie P. Awsum: (( WEll what she usually saw was a small settlement where her specimen came from ))
  632.
  633. GM (GM): So business? Martin is seeing Everett.
  634.
  635. Earrtet is going food shopping.
  636.
  637. Valerie P. Awsum rubs her chin "...I think the high command either miscalculated the probabilty or fed us BS data"
  638.
  639. Valerie P. Awsum: (( I'll go to Everett with Martin ))
  640.
  641. Theo Gerald: ((I'm penniless))
  642.
  643. GM (GM): ((Like I said, not in a state of terror.))
  644. Theo is a broke.
  645. Try looting a body or something! Works for everyone else!
  646.
  647. Jonathan Sommer: ((I'll hang out with my good pal Claude))
  648.
  649. GM (GM): You spot claude down the street, he appears to be doing what you found him doing, fixing up a car.
  650. brb
  651.
  652. Jonathan Sommer stands beside him and watches him for a bit.
  653.
  654. Claudius Silvanus peeks from under the mask "You're still alive?"
  655.
  656. Claudius Silvanus: (( Hood I mean ))
  657. (( You know what I mean ))
  658.
  659. Jonathan Sommer unbuttons his shirt to show off his artificial heart. "Was, and still am."
  660.
  661. Claudius Silvanus rises up hitting his antlers with the hood "HOLY $*!%! What happened"
  662. Jonathan Sommer: "Robots with those guns, man. Lady we picked up called a miracle or something and brought me past my expiration date."
  663.
  664. Jonathan Sommer chuckles.
  665. Earrtet Acroud : "So do you guys know where to go for entertainment?"
  666.
  667. Claudius Silvanus shakes his head and looks at Earrtet "Movie theater few blocks down if you don't mind watching the same movie every 2 weeks."
  668.
  669. Claudius Silvanus wipes his hands and sighs "Well... I don't think I'm good enough for law enforcement. Tried to enroll but I was told I'm overqualified so I got back to fixing cars"
  670.
  671. GM (GM): Back.
  672.
  673. Earrtet Acroud : "Well what about play? And whats the movie btw?"
  674.
  675. Martin Baron: brb
  676.
  677. Claudius Silvanus: Search me, bub. I just listen to the radio. I'm too busy fixing machines all day to go and see something.
  678.
  679. Earrtet Acroud : "Well has anyone tried making any form of new entertainment? I mean someone here had to try and come up for a new thing to do for fun?"
  680.
  681. Jonathan Sommer knocks on the hood of the car. "She ready yet?"
  682.
  683. GM (GM): ((Ah, shoot. With the GMPC kersplattered I can't guide you guys along my plots!))
  684. The car is ready.
  685. A 50s era studebaker
  686.
  687. Clayton: (( We reach Everett yet? ))
  688.
  689. Earrtet Acroud : Gnome Making Porn for Children?
  690.
  691. GM (GM): Was waiting for martin to come back.
  692.
  693. Clayton: (( aight. ))
  694.
  695. GM (GM): ((Yes. Juan.))
  696.
  697. Martin Baron: ( Sorry, back )
  698.
  699. GM (GM): you enter building D
  700. There you encounter President and CEO Garbbl.
  701.
  702. Garbbl: HurHurk Bluoooorq
  703.
  704. Valerie P. Awsum: What is this place... looks super high tech
  705. Ack
  706.
  707. GM (GM): The CEO throws up some documents on the desk, among them seems to be passes.
  708.
  709. Clayton holds up a hand "Weapons holstered here Val."
  710.
  711. Valerie P. Awsum: R... right
  712. I left my rifle in the van anyway..
  713.
  714. Garrbbl: Raarrrrrk The president slaps the desk like a drum in inquiry of your visit.
  715.
  716. Clayton: "We're here to visit Everett."
  717.
  718. Valerie P. Awsum: Wait.. Everett?
  719.
  720. Martin Baron nods. "Yeah. He works here now."
  721.
  722. GM (GM): The mutant smacks its head against the desk. A beep noise goes off. Soon the portly little wiseass comes down.
  723.
  724. Clayton holds a hand up again, "Again, don't get us in trouble here."
  725.
  726. Martin Baron: "Hey Everett." Martin says bleakly, hanging from Silber's shoulder.
  727.
  728. Clayton gives Everett a a small wave. "Can we speak in private?"
  729.
  730. GM (GM): Everett adjusts his glasses, "And I'm fine, how are you?
  731.
  732. Everett: What seems to be the trouble?
  733.
  734. Valerie P. Awsum looks down at the Red Panda that just walked in and almost can't believe his eyes if it wasn't for the glasses. "P... Pillory, s'that you?"
  735.
  736. Everett: ...Yes?
  737.
  738. Clayton flashes a glare at Val.
  739.
  740. Clayton: "Listen... we've finished out mission at the silo."
  741.
  742. Valerie P. Awsum shuts up for a second, might want to finish this reunion later
  743.
  744. Everett: Wait, seriously? I really thought that would have been a washout without me there.
  745. I take it was successful?
  746.
  747. Martin Baron feels a little ill. His lack of legs are hidden by the giant robot. He's not sure how Everett would take seeing half of himself gone.
  748.
  749. No: need for whispers II own this whole buil--Sweet mercy Martin! What did they do to you?!
  750.
  751. GM (GM): Everett is perceptive.
  752.
  753. Clayton sighs, "Somewhat... but we did disable the missile thanks to your missile disarming video. I have the guidance box with me now."
  754.
  755. Everett: Yeah, ahuh, and what the hell happened to Martin?! Is anyone else blown in half?
  756.
  757. Martin Baron gives a sad frown, sighing then continuing after Clayton, "We got attacked by scrap collectors. One had dynamite, and used it next to leaking missile fuel. Everyone else was fine, but..."
  758.
  759. Valerie P. Awsum looks up "One of your who I assume friends got busted up so bad I had to put an artificial heart into him."
  760.
  761. Everett: Jezzis, looks like I quit at the right time. A city full of monsters seems like a cakewalk, now.
  762.
  763. Valerie P. Awsum looks down on the ground, feeling uneasy... wanting to say something.
  764.
  765. Everett: I could set you up with some artificial limbs, Martin. At least so you don't have to ride this... What is this thing?
  766.
  767. Silber: "My name, is Silber!"
  768.
  769. GM (GM): (Incidently, didn't Cass or Theo find socks before?)
  770.
  771. Everett: That's who you are not what you are, tin can!
  772.
  773. Earrtet Acroud : (I got some socks)
  774.
  775. Theo Gerald: ((ye it was earrtet that got them socks))
  776.
  777. Earrtet Acroud : ((they're puppet socks now if ya still need them))
  778.
  779. GM (GM): ((To keep most players involved: Earttet, you discover your socks are worth $450.))
  780.
  781. Martin Baron: "Stilts... Yeah, I'd like something like that." Martin says. "But that's not what I'm here for."
  782.
  783. Silber falls silent
  784.
  785. Martin Baron: "I'm done with this. I'm tired of it all."
  786.
  787. Everett: Ah, right, that guidance system you brought in.
  788.
  789. Earrtet Acroud : ((so whos buying the socks?))
  790.
  791. GM (GM): A man named Maximum Gold
  792.
  793. Jonathan Sommer looks at Claude with a grin. "Want to give her a spin?"
  794.
  795. GM (GM): Big sock trader
  796.
  797. Earrtet Acroud : Deal!
  798.
  799. Theo Gerald: What the heck are those socks made out of
  800.
  801. Claudius Silvanus glares at Jon "I'm driving. You're a cheeky one and I don't want scratches on my client's cart."
  802.
  803. Earrtet Acroud : "I bet he's making mad balls with the socks."
  804.
  805. GM (GM): You quickly find out that socks are used as a influenced trade commodity representing confidence market value in various companies.
  806.
  807. Jonathan Sommer: "Aw, come on. Lighten up once and you won't regret it, promise!"
  808.
  809. GM (GM): By luck, your socks were actually listed.
  810.
  811. Martin Baron: "I want to quit... But I can't go back to Endtown. I wanted to ask if you could help me live here. I don't care if you get me a shed in the backends of this city."
  812.
  813. Earrtet Acroud : (( So i sold socks to the onceler looking guy person?)
  814.
  815. Claudius Silvanus sighs "Look, you guys kinda hung me out to dry but despite you being a lying cheater, Jon... you're at least the most sensible of the bunch. Hop in but don't try any tricks."
  816.
  817. Everett: Eh, sure! No problem. I'm sorry this happened, buddy.
  818.
  819. GM (GM): ((Onceler, what?))
  820.
  821. Valerie P. Awsum finally speaks up "You always had a heart of gold, Everett."
  822.
  823. Jonathan Sommer laughs and slides through the window into the driving seat.
  824.
  825. Martin Baron: "Thank you." Martin says, tapping Silber. "You can put me there on the chair. I'll get a wheelchair or something later."
  826.
  827. Earrtet Acroud : (( You know people like Marx who hop dymentions))
  828.
  829. Everett: Don't tell anybody. I'm getting good 'street cred' around here. I didn't even need to fight criminals in public to do it.
  830.
  831. Silber lowers Martin onto the chair
  832.
  833. Valerie P. Awsum smirks "I understand... Back at the university you were known as a troublemaker."
  834.
  835. Valerie P. Awsum: (( NOOOOOOOO))
  836. (( NOT HIM ))
  837.
  838. Marx: Did someone mention my name across the dimensions?
  839.
  840. Earrtet Acroud : ((Do I say beetlejuice 3 time now?))
  841.
  842. Jonathan Sommer: ((Aw shit))
  843.
  844. GM (GM): The geeky man appears through a portal. He approaches the alligator
  845.
  846. Earrtet Acroud : "Pss, that was in OOC, Onceler, and thankfuly we wont see you ever again next week."
  847. "I think"
  848.
  849. GM (GM): Marx heard you, even in the OOC
  850. ESPECIALLY IN THE OOC
  851. BECAUSE THAT"S HOW GODDAMN MARX WORKS
  852.
  853. Claudius Silvanus groans and takes the passenger seat
  854.
  855. GM (GM): BECAUSE WHY NOT?
  856. Anyway!
  857. Jonathan and Claudius go for a fun drive,
  858.
  859. Jonathan Sommer: "I can barely drive this shit!"
  860.
  861. Claudius Silvanus: THE DRIVER IS A BEAR
  862. A BEAR IS DRIVING
  863.
  864. Jonathan Sommer stretches his foot out to press down on the accelerator.
  865.
  866. Everett: So... Guidance system. I can collect data, put it in something and have if navigate, what do you want?
  867.
  868. Jonathan Sommer: ((HIBERNATIONNN))
  869.
  870. Earrtet Acroud : (At least while you're in the car you're safe from lions.)
  871.
  872. Marx: I smell something yummy.
  873.
  874. Suule looks at Martin and Clay "Anything you guys want?"
  875.
  876. Earrtet Acroud : "Socks?"
  877.
  878. Valerie P. Awsum: (Ack)
  879.
  880. Valerie P. Awsum looks at Martin and Clay "Anything you guys want?"
  881.
  882. GM (GM): The weirdo turns to Earttet and points, "Nah, hey you got some reptilian meat? That stuff is like sushi. You have to eat it raw for the full flavor. Give a piece?"
  883.
  884. Clayton shrugs, "You told me that you wanted me to bring it to you. I'm going to be needing to turn this into Flask... So I need you to purge very dangerous info, but keep something worthwhile for her."
  885.
  886. Earrtet Acroud : "It's in the car. And I don't know where the car is."
  887.
  888. Martin Baron: "Just to help them out... And maybe a wheelchair, if you got one."
  889.
  890. Everett: Ah, I can do better than that. The red panda brings in a centipedal mutant by a leash.
  891. This guy I've trained for personal service. He's great, listens to commands, climbs walls, has a bit force of 4k psi.
  892.
  893. Valerie P. Awsum sighs "Seems you've been putting your skills into good use."
  894.
  895. Everett: The mutant thing is just a hobby. I've actually been overhauling the energy system here.
  896.
  897. Martin Baron: "I... think I'll stick with metal peglegs..."
  898.
  899. Everett: Fire shutters, master control systems, autoturrets, it's a big job.
  900.
  901. Martin Baron: ( Get on top of it, it whips you off and eats your arms )
  902.
  903. Valerie P. Awsum: And back at the university you used to teach chemistry and battery science
  904.
  905. Everett: Ah, well, you kind of have to be in the city awhile to get used to these guys, I guess. Come, Mr. Boppo
  906.
  907. GM (GM): He leads the monster away.
  908. Everett adjusts his glasses.
  909.
  910. Everett: If you're a former student of mine I'd think they would do better than being a topsider...
  911.
  912. Clayton clears his throat. "About the guidance system..."
  913.
  914. Everett: Okay fine. Give me an hour to rig this baby. Flask will get everything she deserves.
  915.
  916. Valerie P. Awsum blurts out "IT'S ME, EVERETT. BECKY! REBECCA WHITE! You know! Biochemistry and biological material department!"
  917.
  918. GM (GM): Everett takes a stoic expression
  919.
  920. Everett: and now you're a topsider? I thought more of you, White.
  921.
  922. Clayton shakes his head "WAit! Nonononono. I don't want to piss her off or try and kill her!.. I just want to Purge any data on here that can be too harmful. I need to leave some valuable data for her."
  923.
  924. GM (GM): brb
  925.
  926. Valerie P. Awsum blurts out "Do you think i wanted to be one? I went to work on containing the plague. When WW3 happened I was drafted into this whole thing and nominated onto the council. Look Everettt, if it wasn't for WW3 I would've gone back to the university. I sent you the invitation to my comeback party... that would've been 7 days after the bombs dropped. All I wanted was to stop this plague! You know that."
  927.
  928. Jonathan Sommer: "... Claude."
  929.
  930. GM (GM): Everett inhales like he's about to scream
  931.
  932. Claudius Silvanus: What?
  933.
  934. Everett: Well, I'm sure your better intentions mean something somewhere but not here.
  935.
  936. Jonathan Sommer: "Ya still mad at me?"
  937.
  938. Claudius Silvanus mumblers "Yesalittlebit
  939.
  940. Everett: It's nice to know you're alive, too bad on how you got here.
  941.
  942. Jonathan Sommer: "Ya still mad at me?"
  943.
  944. Claudius Silvanus mumblers "Yesalittlebit
  945.
  946. Everett: It's nice to know you're alive, too bad on how you got here.
  947.
  948. Valerie P. Awsum: ...I knew you would say that.
  949.
  950. Valerie P. Awsum turns on her heel and walks away feeling crushed.
  951.
  952. Jonathan Sommer sighs. "Look, who you saw in that place with the birds... I don't- I don't think that was the real me, ya know."
  953.
  954. Claudius Silvanus: Uh huh... do you need a priest? It's like you're trying to confess something
  955.
  956. Everett: has regressed back to his mopey self. He plots the nav box on the table and says, "Sigh, here you go."
  957.
  958. Blarrgh: Hoooraaak
  959.
  960. Clayton: "What did you leave for Flask?"
  961.
  962. Everett: Yeah, that's true. I met a former topsider and didn't try to kill on sight, I'm doing all kinds of better!
  963.
  964. Jonathan Sommer: "Maybe. ... I'm not really good with talking about this shit. I'm still a good person, like really deep inside. It's just... just how the world is that I act, ya know?"
  965.
  966. Everett: Between you and me, it's a taser and black powder charge. She tries to access it and she'll get a 120v right in the her titular region.
  967.
  968. GM (GM): Then it will blow up, that'll teach her to mess with WMDs
  969.
  970. Clayton frowns, "remove that."
  971.
  972. Clayton: "I know I can't give here this thing unabated Everett, but she will definitely kill me if I give her this."
  973. "As I said, take out the most damaging data, leave more inconsequential stuff she can still use."
  974.
  975. Everett: I don't know... Flask is drawing a line and I think she needs to be put in her place.
  976.
  977. Clayton: "You're saying that because you don't have to face here again, I do."
  978.
  979. Claudius Silvanus looks up "Look Jon, you like to screw around with people, I know that, but you kinda went overboard with the whole money demand. I did the wise thing and didn't snitch you but I was almost ready to give you a good spanking for being this much of a scum. But at least you're confessing here before me. Which is good." he rubs the back of his head "...I won't make a career out of psychology with this kind of talk. What I'm saying is - Jon, you were going over the line and if you're gonna go back before it I think that would be better for you."
  980.
  981. Everett: That's another thing: There is hardly any useful data here. All it's geodata is pre bombing, locations are pre-bombing, satilite uplink is gone, The only thing this thing is good for is making a missile fly.
  982.
  983. A lamb in a doctor's coat comes out of the hospital building. Briefly looking around, she focuses on Jonathan and walks towards him.
  984.
  985. Clayton shrugs, "That should be fine then, just remove your bomb from it."
  986.
  987. Jonathan Sommer: "But... can I change? Doing this shit is like nature to me. I dunno, isn't it more important that I still have some morals as opposed to always acting like a goody-two-shoes?"
  988.
  989. Rose Bell: "Pardon me, gentlemen. I couldn't help but notice your... condition from earlier."
  990.
  991. GM (GM): (( Hey, I'm gonna change my bad bad ways. Can you change your bad bad ways. Then someone comes up to the window, "Hey, want some pills? I'm a doctor?))
  992.
  993. Claudius Silvanus wraps his arms on his chest "Ohhhh nice. Am I the goody-two-shoes? I stole diamonds before you know. From a total swine mind you but still..." he looks at the doctor "What's wrong?"
  994.
  995. Jonathan Sommer: "Condition?"
  996.
  997. GM (GM): Earttet, give marx some Juanitos?
  998.
  999. Earrtet Acroud : Sure
1000. "Ya got any hot dauce or garlic sauce by the chance?"
  1001.
1002. Rose Bell points to Jonathan's chest. "What you got there. I haven't seen anything like that since... Well, maybe before the bombs fell. Do you have proper medicine to keep your body from rejecting it out?"
  1003.
1004. GM (GM): Marx has been eating the blasphemous meat as readily as Earrtet, "Sure" he says, producing a bottle from his coat.
  1005.
  1006. I: love mexican food.
  1007.
  1008. GM (GM): Marx says.
  1009.
1010. Jonathan Sommer: ((You heard it here, folks. The malevolent wannabe-god likes mexican food))
  1011.
1012. GM (GM): ((Rose bell is selling Aug-mentin))
  1013.
1014. Claudius Silvanus looks at Jon "Well... did someone hook you up with pills for it?"
  1015.
1016. GM (GM): ((What's that one from Dues Ex?))
  1017.
1018. Clayton: (( Everett disable his bomb from the guidance board GM? ))
  1019.
1020. Earrtet Acroud : Time to make a Juan and beas stew with garlic
  1021.
1022. Jonathan Sommer scratches his head. "I think I remember something involving dogs."
  1023.
  1024. Earrtet Acroud : rolling 1d100 + 25
  1025. (51)+25= 76
  1026.
1027. GM (GM): You do have cooking, don't you?
  1028.
  1029. Earrtet Acroud : yes
  1030.
1031. GM (GM): Fine, you have made Juan and Peas stew.
  1032.
1033. Claudius Silvanus: Is your doctor even alive still?
  1034.
1035. GM (GM): After a long pause Everett blurts out, "Yes, the bomb is disabled."
  1036.
1037. Rose Bell: "Well, I saw you at the door and wanted to make sure you had ample amounts of medicine." she says. Grimacing, she adds "There was one person a year or so ago who forgot his supply and went on a month without them. Had a chest piece like yours, but not as, er, jagged."
1038. "We found him dead, his body had rejected the implant and he bled to death in his home."
  1039.
1040. Earrtet Acroud : "Earrtet gulfs down the swen from the can, getting a proper meal.*
  1041.
1042. Claudius Silvanus: Can we get a second opinion or something?
  1043.
1044. Clayton: (( Can I check the guidance board, to see if it matches the reference I used when disarming it GM? ))
1045. (( I just want to be thorough now. ))
  1046.
1047. Marx: He, pally, you should share! Go see if your friends want some.
  1048.
1049. Jonathan Sommer: "Yeah, that lady that put this in me was a doc at one point. Well, something like a doc."
  1050.
1051. Marx: Also, save me a bowl!
  1052.
  1053. Earrtet Acroud : (Do i roll for the 3 d10?)
  1054.
  1055. GM (GM): Oh yeah.
  1056. Yes.
  1057.
  1058. Earrtet Acroud : rolling 1d10 +
  1059. (3)= 3
  1060. rolling 1d10 +
  1061. (9)= 9
  1062. rolling 1d10 +
  1063. (3)= 3
  1064.
1065. GM (GM): You gain 15 mp
  1066.
1067. Earrtet Acroud : Earrtet leaves behind a can of the stew and heas to his 'friends with the pot of the stew.
  1068.
1069. GM (GM): And lose -10 for being a cannibal.
  1070.
1071. Rose Bell: "Well, the mutant body should help you keep it in longer, though unless you take one of these muscle relaxants once every two weeks, it'll slowly slip out." she says, retrieving an orange, pill bottle from her coat and shaking it.
  1072.
1073. Jonathan Sommer: "Well, alright th- What's with the orange?"
  1074.
1075. Earrtet Acroud : Earrtet enter the room and says Any of you guys want some stew?"
  1076.
1077. GM (GM): Jonathan! The doctor is offering you vital medicine for your specific condition
  1078.
1079. Jonathan Sommer: ((Whoops, misread that))
  1080.
1081. Claudius Silvanus cringes at the doctor "...just how much do you want for it."
  1082.
1083. Rose Bell: "It's a prescription bottle." she says plainly. "I didn't want what happened to that other person to happen to you."
1084. "No need to be crude. It's fifty dollars, we have an ample supply."
  1085.
  1086. Jonathan Sommer: "Uh-huh..."
  1087.
1088. Earrtet Acroud : Earrtet shouts at John "Hey john want some of my stew?"
  1089.
  1090. Claudius Silvanus: (( D: ))
  1091.
1092. Jonathan Sommer: "Not your stew."
  1093.
  1094. Marx: I've tried it! It's great!
  1095.
1096. Claudius Silvanus whispers to Jon "Who's the jerky looking guy in the coat?"
  1097.
  1098. Earrtet Acroud : "It's not a coat it's a tank top!"
  1099.
  1100. Jonathan Sommer: "No idea."
  1101.
1102. GM (GM): Marx approaches, "Hi, I'm Marx!" He says as he sticks his hand in the window, pushing the lamb slightly to do so.
  1103.
1104. Rose Bell holds the orange bottle out for Jonathan. "Please, I don't want more to die. We've lost more than enough al-" she says, getting cut off from Marx's interruption. "Excuse me!"
  1105.
1106. GM (GM): marx then throws his hand around the lamb and says, "Listen to this one. I've seen it! Guy, has a robot heart, jumps out of his chest. It was hilarious!"
  1107.
1108. Claudius Silvanus cringes and shakes it "...Claudius. I believe we're busy..."
  1109.
1110. Jonathan Sommer just looks on in confusion.
  1111.
1112. Jonathan Sommer: "Just hand me the pills."
  1113.
1114. Marx: Sure, got a hundred?
  1115.
1116. Rose Bell gives Jonathan the bottle, glaring at Marx as she does so.
  1117.
1118. Marx: What? I get paid for endorsements!
  1119.
1120. Jonathan Sommer: ((I think my soul is draining))
  1121.
1122. Clayton thanks Everett for his help, and he turns to leave. "Might be here sometime soon too, after I turn this stuff into Flask, then I'm out."
  1123.
1124. Martin Baron: ( He's like the Lucranian ship, he drains us of our emotion and life )
  1125.
1126. Jonathan Sommer examines the bottle.
  1127.
1128. Earrtet Acroud : (( Shh john, it's like this one server wher if you talk in ooc about some characters, they still know))
  1129.
1130. GM (GM): As predator smells blood, Marx turns to Clay as he carries the Navigation unit out.
  1131.
  1132. Martin Baron: ( Nah, they don't. Also, Clayton's a cockhead )
  1133.
1134. Claudius Silvanus sits outside and sees Clay "Got what you wanted" wiping her eyes
  1135.
1136. Marx: Heeeey, that's a 73331-Apex Navigation Unit with a IBCM crosslink joint and flexing buffer ranges, ain't it?
  1137.
1138. Valerie P. Awsum sits outside and sees Clay "Got what you wanted" wiping her eyes
  1139.
1140. Rose Bell: "Sir? Is something the matter?"
  1141.
1142. Valerie P. Awsum: (( Sorry It was meant for Val )
  1143. (( Fuck-up))
  1144.
1145. Still: kinda in character for Claud
  1146.
1147. Clayton gaze moves between Val and Marx. He's torn. He decides to address Val first. "More or less" He says, moving closer to the possum, "It's my ticket out of all this shit, so I hope it works... but enough of that. Are you... alright?"
  1148.
1149. Marx: Could I see that? It looks like there's a bit of sabotage in your unit there!
  1150.
1151. Jonathan Sommer: "What the shit."
  1152.
1153. Jonathan Sommer turns the bottle over and watches paper fall softly down.
  1154.
1155. Clayton squints as Marx approaches, he hesitantly holds it out toward the strange man. "Sabotage?... It better not be, careful with this please."
  1156.
1157. Valerie P. Awsum sighs "Ever had a bad reunion?" and then looks annoyed as Marx shows up
  1158.
1159. GM (GM): Marx uses a bizarre device and fidels with it abit.
1160. After electrocuting himself afew times he hands it back, "Here you go. Should work as intended now!" he says.
  1161.
1162. Earrtet Acroud : Earrtet walk along with marx "Hey guys ya wanna try my stew? This guy Marx likes it."
  1163.
1164. GM (GM): Marx then opens the mouth of a nearby mutant and climbs inside.
  1165.
1166. Rose Bell gets a look of worry, the bottle emptied out onto the street. "Uh..." She smacks her face, "Oh deary me! I think I got you one of the empty bottles in storage by accident!"
  1167.
1168. Clayton smiles at Val's question. "More times than you'd believe Val... a fair amount of them with Everett too." He says with a mild chuckle, "We didn't get along well... ever really."
  1169.
1170. Clayton puts the guidance board back into his pack. "damn Panda."
  1171.
1172. Earrtet Acroud : "Uhh, Marx?"
  1173.
1174. GM (GM): You know guys, technically you don't suffer from MH loss for cannibalism if you don't realize you're eating Juan.
  1175.
1176. Valerie P. Awsum sighs "Everett never forgave me for leaving to work in APEX. He never send me back Christmas card..."
  1177.
1178. GM (GM): Marx has gone, back to where he came from: The bowels of a monster.
  1179.
1180. Valerie P. Awsum glares at Earrtet "I'm not hungry"
  1181.
1182. Earrtet Acroud : Earret start to wonder if Juan was a heavy drug used and eating him lead to a trip out.
  1183.
1184. Clayton: "You know, Everett talk big a lot, but he's not any better than any of us." Clayton scratches his head, "Not to offend, but he really wasn't any better than the topsiders... almost just as bloodthirsty as them when I worked with him."
  1185.
1186. Jonathan Sommer looks at Rose with skepticism.
  1187.
1188. GM (GM): I can just imagine bell as the cutest thing, as she rips you off.
  1189.
1190. Rose Bell: "I can get you the actual bottle, even make sure the pills are actually there this time, ha ha ha!" she laughs, rubbing the back of her head.
  1191.
  1192. Jonathan Sommer: "... Alright."
  1193.
1194. Jonathan Sommer motions for Claude as he gets out of the car.
  1195.
  1196. GM (GM): Sure!
  1197.
1198. Rose Bell: "I'll be right back sir, I'm so sorry." she says, taking the bottle from Jonathan and dashing back inside the hospital.
  1199.
1200. Earrtet Acroud : Earrtet heads back to the van, drink more of the stew to see what more effect it would have on him
  1201.
1202. GM (GM): Eh there isn't there is gm roll.
  1203.
1204. Jonathan Sommer: "Let's follow her."
  1205.
1206. Valerie P. Awsum sighs "Everett was always angry around APEX people. He was working at a university funded by APEX funds with APEX grants and APEX employees and he constantly complained. I dunno how he manged to keep his job but he wasn't THIS aggressive. I guess something happened along the way."
  1207.
1208. GM (GM): let me roll here.
  1209.
1210. Claudius Silvanus goes with Jon
  1211.
  1212. Jonathan Sommer: ((GM rolling?))
  1213.
1214. GM (GM): ((I get the wrong channel alot today.))
1215. ((Somone is doing something secret!))
  1216.
  1217. Jonathan Sommer: ((Aw shit))
  1218.
1219. Jonathan Sommer looks for a secret path into the hospital.
  1220.
1221. Rose Bell returns from the hospital, brandishing a new bottle of pills. She looks around for the raccoon.
  1222.
1223. GM (GM): Sommer, there is a side door.
  1224.
1225. Jonathan Sommer: "Watch my back, pal."
  1226.
1227. Jonathan Sommer enters through the side door.
  1228.
1229. GM (GM): You're in the hospital.
  1230.
1231. Jonathan Sommer: ((Is it a typical hospital?))
  1232.
1233. GM (GM): You see Bell just as she leaves, putting a handful of pills in her coat!
  1234. Yes, it's a typical hospital.
1235. Ah, yeah, you weren't there for that campaign, huh?
  1236.
1237. Clayton rests a hand on his own shoulder, "Well, if you ask me, Everett was just telling himself that. He wasn't any different from APEX when it came down to it." He says,, turning to face her, "But you don't seem the same, you've been far more willing to help others than he ever was..." He pauses, unsure what else to say. He isn't usually a the guy for this stuff.
  1238.
1239. Jonathan Sommer: ((I'll try searching for that storage))
  1240.
  1241. GM (GM): Okay.
1242. This would be pick pocketing.
  1243.
  1244. Jonathan Sommer: rolling 1d100+35+20+10-10
  1245. (82)+35+20+10-10= 137
  1246.
1247. Jonathan Sommer: ((Did I put in too many bonuses?))
  1248.
1249. GM (GM): Just to be clear, what storage?
1250. You mean steal from bell?
  1251.
1252. Jonathan Sommer: ((Nah, that supposed storage she was talking about))
  1253.
1254. Valerie P. Awsum looks down "You don't understand. Everett likes helping people but... in his own little way. He's not gonna rush to someone's help but wait it out and walk up and offer help. Don't be too hard on him, he was just... hoping for something bad not to happen but it happened."
  1255.
1256. GM (GM): Oh, that. She just took it from a cabinet.
1257. Right there in the open.
  1258. Your snatching: Pain killers
  1259.
1260. Jonathan Sommer mutters, "Painless death, maybe."
  1261.
1262. Jonathan Sommer pockets a couple pain-killers and goes back out the side door.
  1263.
1264. Valerie P. Awsum: (( Did you grab meds for yourself? ))
  1265.
1266. Jonathan Sommer: ((It's not the meds I need))
1267. ((But I snatched what was there))
  1268.
1269. GM (GM): ((Did you get enough to share?))
  1270.
  1271. Martin Baron: ( I want drugs )
  1272.
1273. Jonathan Sommer: ((YOU HAVE A PROBLEM, MARTIN))
  1274.
1275. Clayton sighs "That's just how life goes doesn't it... at least now. It's part of the reason I want to get away from it all." He admits, "What about you, where are you going from here?"
  1276.
  1277. GM (GM): ( That's a blunt statement )
  1278.
1279. Martin Baron: ( YOU'RE A PROBLEM IF YOU DON'T GET ME MAH DRUGS )
  1280.
1281. Valerie P. Awsum looks down "Was thinking of maybe being here with Everett but he wouldn't like that. Is there any other choices? "
  1282.
1283. Jonathan Sommer taps on Rose's shoulder and clears his throat.
  1284.
1285. Rose Bell spins around, somewhat surprised at Jonathan's appearance. "Oh! Sorry, I didn't notice you followed me in. I apologize about earlier, I had no idea."
  1286.
  1287. Jonathan Sommer: "'Course."
  1288.
1289. Rose Bell holds another bottle out for Jonathan. "Here's the medicine, and here:", she says, screwing off the top to show the pills within. "Actually has what you need in here."
  1290.
1291. Jonathan Sommer chuckles. "Okay, but I gotta tell you something first. Get closer." He leans forward a bit.
  1292.
1293. Clayton shrugs, "You could work somewhere else here, you could stick with this group, or you could hang with me in Endtown... though I don't know about staying there either." He pauses, "Truth be told, I kind of plan on retrieving an APC I left there and just wandering the wastes like I used too."
  1294.
  1295. Rose Bell: "I'm sorry?"
  1296.
1297. Jonathan Sommer: "I want to say something personal."
  1298.
1299. Martin Baron: ( I gotta go grab dinner, getting on my phone )
  1300.
1301. Valerie P. Awsum: I might stay behind and help people around...
  1302.
1303. GM (GM): Lean in like a mentos comercial?
  1304.
1305. Clayton: "I hope you do well for yourself. A word of advice, be cautious who you mention your background to. Some people WILL get violent about it."
  1306.
1307. Earrtet Acroud : (oh shit its paul blart, he found out about my cannable hyjinxs
  1308.
1309. Rose Bell leans cautiously forward, hands by her side.
  1310.
1311. Jonathan Sommer: ((Some people. Maybe someone in this very room.))
  1312.
1313. Valerie P. Awsum: I... I think I am slowly getting the idea how to mask myself. Unless someone from my past recognizes me
  1314.
1315. Jonathan Sommer puts a hand around her neck and whispers, "I've done this every weekday back then, before shit hit the fan. You're not foolin' anyone."
  1316.
1317. GM (GM): First rule is not say you're a toppie. Second rule is to not where your toppie suit.
  1318.
1319. Jonathan Sommer: "How did you get into that cabinet?"
  1320.
1321. Martin Baron growls back, "Either you get your filthy hands off, or I scream and get the guards here. You'll be bleeding on the ground in seconds if you don't."
  1322.
1323. Rose Bell: ( Wrong name. Y'all already know it's my stupid ass though )
  1324.
1325. Clayton: "Keep at it then. I know you'll make it, " Clayton pats Val on the back, "Who knows, you might be fixing me up with an artificial arm someday."
  1326.
1327. GM (GM): (( Lamby has some teeth!))
  1328.
1329. Jonathan Sommer snickers. "That would bring me back to better days. How about doin' that after you tell me how you managed to get this far? Usually ya need someone on the inside."
  1330.
1331. GM (GM): You've been made, deck the rat and run?
  1332.
