1
craing: i honestly feel stalls manageable
2
craing: as sum1 whos built with and played against stall
3
craing: ppl's stigma toward it just make it think its broken
4
craing: like every stall team
5
craing: is weak to some things no matter how hard they attempt to patch
6
craing: i think the only defining rsn why its actually as good as a playstyle as say offense
7
craing: is the combination of sab+dug and obligatory phat core
8
craing: sab by itself is manageable, but dug being able to eliminate threats and sab being able to deter hazards with phat core is a pretty antimeta strat
9
craing: like your team should naturally favor being able to handle offense, bo, balance and the like
10
craing: theres too many threats in the meta to not do so
11
craing: regardless of the playstyle you use
12
craing: that leaves you more open to stall as a result
13
craing: which is much less of a priority as the aforementioned playstyles for obvious reasons
14
craing: i think id come off as rly pretentious though
15
craing: if i did post
16
craing: cuz i think most of this hysteria is bcs ppl cant build adequate teams
17
craing: like i make sure
18
craing: none of my teams
19
craing: are helpless vs stall
20
craing: and i think its stupid for ppl to think they have that adv
21
craing: its just those spl games
22
craing: that they faced shty opponents/teams
23
craing: that rly made it shine, despite only 2 games lol
24
craing: i think the biggest problem with stall currently is that its a puts a ridiculous strain on teambuilding. any good team
25
craing: needs to have good stall antimeasures but in sun moon you need ridiculous preparation to stand a chance. the council
26
craing: has plans to do something about stall but i wanted to make this thread to hear what other people had to say on the topic.-blunder
27
craing: stall does put a strain
28
craing: but not as much as offense
29
craing: like do u want to be 6-0d by gren lele or gross?
30
craing: i mean looking at stall as a playstyle objectively, it's quite awfully flawed
31
craing: they have no out vs opposing stall mu other than double switch/pp stall
32
craing: and they r forced to sack mons to any potential threat(lele hoopa kyub zard etc) which leave their def cores pretty vulnerable
33
craing: dug+sab just make it really good and underprepared for
34
craing: not to say that nondug stall isn't viable, tad less effective and niche forsure but it can still work
35
craing: sab by itself is manageable but dug I feel is the perpetrator here
36
craing: heck dug is my 2nd most used ground, moreso than chomp lol
37
craing: even has a higher win rate than chomp in spl last I checked
38-
craing: uhh as for the argument on ppl running pursuit mons on stall, I guess it would fill the trapping niche, thought not as well as dug
38+
craing: dug just provides so much utility to any team really, not just stall -_-
39
craing: uhh as for the argument on ppl running pursuit mons on stall, I guess it would fill the trapping niche, thought not as well as dug. like the only viable pursuiters on stall are weavile ttar and muk
40
craing: but what are u gunna do, ban pursuit? kek
