+Any training in the Arcane arts?: no formal training, though some subset of knowledge is implanted in the cursing artifact inside his skull Currently his powers are mostly limited to the 'unholy' branch of magical abillities inside his brain, the abillity to send out a bolt of shadow energy, a sword strike that after being performed hits with shadow energies, (think like, he hits X amount of hard with the physical strike and the shadow strike is X*2 or something like that) a strike that infects the opponent with a temporary blood plague, that damages them from the inside this strike also if the target is unarmored, causes festering wounds, an abillity that is only useful for the killing blow, when the targets life energy is low enough and this abillity is used, after a short-ish ( 10~ seconds) delay, this abillity does damage directly to the soul of the target. (so on and so forth, these are the basic set of abillities he has at his disposal currently, more will come when his runeblade grows, and when he leeches more knowledge and power from the cursing artifact, including, maybe, bloodboil, 'dark simulacrum' a mark that lets him perform the same magical feat that whoever was marked did as their first act after being marked., only spells mind you, desecrating the ground in an area which if they try to leave it, they are gripped to the middle, a deathgrip which pulls a target to infront of him. +Background: an escaped experiment of one of the false gods, after having been taken prisoner / being captured in the cold north of razanik, he doesn't remember much of his life, nor does he remember how many years he spent being experimented on, he is for all intents and purposes a blank slate with a personality, and an undying desire to kill the being that experimented on him.

-Magical Training: Up to you. Keep in mind you shouldn't be any stronger than your average military Thaumaturge, as you're all pretty much upstarts climbing through the ranks.
+Skull ring that becomes a large, jagged, and rune inscribed blade, through it he channels his his innate thaumaturgic power
 It is a vampiric rune blade, currently fairly low in strength, but with each kill, every wound it causes, it grows, stealing life energy and souls.

+A cursed/cursing artifact implanted into his skull which is the reason he is undead, but at the same time the artifact holds the knowledge behind his skills and abillities with his runeblade and magic, and he is slowly as he grows more powerful, leeching this knowledge and any other power from it to strengthen himself. its true form is a metallic, rune entombed web of sorts (think like 'veins' of sorts ) that are inside the bone of his skull.
 
 His armor, an armor set that fits well with his rune blade, it is created from the same type of black metal with ornate skull designs, clearly intending to make him seem like an avatar of death. this armor is also fairly jagged on the outside, to some degree it grows with his rune blade, but much, much, MUCH slower.

+Thaumaturgical knowledge: he doesn't truely understand what he is capable of doing, nor what he does. most of his powers being engraved into his being and the cursed artifact in his skull, that he doesn't even know the true shape of.
 
 one thing that he is capable of is altering the runes on his weapon to various effects, the current one being one that bolsters his strength, not massively, but still enough to matter.
