  2. 06[17:07:42] * Cole is, in the mean time, about to enter the cafe, simply to get a little bit of a break. Naturally, he wasn't able to find out anything about his past just yet, but he knows that there's got to be something.
  3. [17:07:21] <Kuji> "Oh, Steve!" Kuji waves from inside. He can see him through one of the windows. "Long time no see!"

  6. [17:07:08] <Steve> "Hmm? Oh! Mister Kotodes!" Steve notices. "Hmm..." He walks through the door, and smiles, approaching Kuji's table. "I've got time for a break. It has been a while."

  9. [17:07:09] <Kuji> "Indeed it hasn't it. It's been... what, three weeks?" Kuji smiles a bit. "Anyways, what are you doing here?"

  11. 06[17:07:03] * Cole exits the cafe with a slurpee that may or may not be of doom, and sure enough, sees the two people conversion right in front of him; he doesn't really know them, but then again, he doesn't really know a lot of people.

  13. [17:07:18] <Steve> "Oh, the Watchers have been letting me start up a little side business. I was going to try my hands at running a Pokemon daycare in town. I felt it would be, you know, good for my training."
  14. [17:07:20] <~Garlyle> (This is more like a half-session than a real session I think)
  15. 01[17:07:32] <Trevor> ( Oh, alright. )
  16. 01[17:07:36] <Trevor> ( typing )
  17. [17:07:42] <Kuji> "Oh, cool! They breed stuff, right?"
  18. [17:07:44] <Steve> "Well, the Daycare I was at last month did some breeding, in addition to taking care of Pokemon for a while. It was a service they usually asked the owners about, but, you know, sometimes it happens."
  19. 01[17:07:30] <Trevor> Trevor can be seen sitting down in front of the cafe. He's at his laptop, fairly recently set up, with headphones (albeit not actually playing anything) plugged into the laptop locked in ear. The usuals in Trudy and Conor are sitting at the table with him, gnawing away at the lunch he bought them, though Roosevelt looks rather silly on the table eating out of a bowl. it wouldn't be TOO hard to get his attention if grabbed.
  20. [17:07:32] <Kuji> "Ah. Yeah. Hey, Armo." Kuji let out his Shuckle from the Pokeball, who saw Kuji's milk tea and started drinking happily.
  21. 01[17:07:18] <Trevor> His Donphan also is present, rolling the Spheal about the place playfully... If it wasn't so accustomed to the rolling, she might be nauseous.
  22. [17:07:20] <Kuji> "Anyways, I kind of need two more of these. I have some friends who like these."
  23. 06[17:07:58] * Cole rubbed the back of his neck, and then looked over, seeing Trevor off to the side, and then shrugged, going to speak with him; he swears, he's seen the guy somewhere before.
  24. [17:07:00] <Steve> "Hmm? Oh, that's interesting..." Steve muses, looking over the mollusk. "What's his name?"
  25. 01[17:07:08] <Trevor> ( Also, slurpee of doom? Wut? )
  26. [17:07:38] <Cole> (I don't know.)
  27. [17:07:36] <Kuji> "Armo. His name's Armo." Armo finished Kuji's drink quickly. "Oy, Armo, stop drinking my drinks. Anyways, how much will it cost me?"
  28. 01[17:07:00] <Trevor> Conor sees Cole approaching and does the first thing that the little bear would do... Run up behind Trevor and grab onto his leg. Scaredy bear. Trevor then looks up and around, his headphones falling out in the process.
  29. 06[17:07:06] * Cole walks over, waving slightly. "I know you, don't I?" He was trying to sound personable, but still he sounded mildly detached as usual.
  30. [17:07:44] <Steve> "Cost? Oh my. Hmm..." He looks over Armo again. "Now, you wanted a few baby Shuckle?" he asks.
  31. 01[17:07:31] <Trevor> "What's the matter, Conor? Is something-- Oh, calm yourself, Conor, it's just..." Trevor completely blanked on the name. "We... DID make ourselves acquainted with one another before, haven't we?"
  32. [17:07:00] <Kuji> "Yep! My friends want two Shuckle that can take ANYTHING!" Kuji playfully punches Armo one time, who just grabs on to Kuji's arm.
  33. 01[17:07:01] <Trevor> Trevor definitely remembers having met Cole at the stadium on New Year's, but the name's just slipped.
  34. [17:07:32] <Kuji> (To be fair, if Kuji actually put some effort into that punch, Armo would pretty much not feel a thing.)
  35. 06[17:07:02] * Cole nods to Trevor a little bit, and sits down with his slurpee. "I can't seem to remember your name."
  36. 01[17:07:07] <Trevor> "At the stadium, if I recall right..."
  37. [17:07:17] <Steve> "Well, I don't have many in the way of mothers for Armo to breed with. And besides, it'd have to be a female--" Steve's musings were interrupted by Duplica sliding down his arm, and onto the table.
  38. 01[17:07:23] <Trevor> "And no worries. Perhaps now is as good a time as any to become re-acquainted... My name's Trevor."
  39. [17:07:57] <Kuji> 1d2 1=male 2=female
  40. [17:07:58] <DiceMaid-9001> Kuji, 1=male 2=female: 2 [1d2=2]
  41. [17:07:12] <Kuji> "Oh, what? This one IS female."
  42. [17:07:57] <Kuji> (Oops. Looks like I forgot to roll all my Pokemon's genders.)
  43. 06[17:07:59] * Cole nods a little bit, and responds back. "I am Cole. Cole Rosenburgh."
  44. [17:07:02] <Steve> "Oh! I am so sorry," Steve apologizes quite honestly. "I should have...well, the gender differences aren't immediate."
  45. [17:07:51] <Kuji> "Don't apologize. You'll be fine. With just a bit more training, I'm sure that you'll be able to know the difference."
  46. [17:07:39] <Steve> "Maybe you could help me find a good father?" Steve requests, not wanting to ask so much of Duplica on the first job.
  47. [17:07:54] <Kuji> "Hm..."
  48. 01[17:07:26] <Trevor> "Cole... Oh, that's right. We had partnered up at the Stadium against Camellia and Reinhard. I'm sure you'd remember... Well, you'd recall Trudy and Conor, most likely," he says as he draws attention to them.
  49. 06[17:07:55] * Kuji opens his Pokedex and looks up the information on his Shuckle. "...the Bug egg group... I don't have any Pokemon that are part of that."
  50. 01[17:07:56] <Trevor> The Teddiursa just further huddles itself beneath Trevor if Cole's gaze is averted towards him.
  51. 01[17:07:13] <Trevor> "Abe, however... Well, he's grown a fair bit since then, if you can't tell." He points to the Donphan, which is rolling a Spheal about into the ... Sandy, if not snow-covered, ground with his trunk.
  52. [17:07:33] <Steve> "Bug...no, I don't either." Steve chuckles. "Besides, all my Pokemon are also female. Well, except for Gaav. And Duplica."
  53. [17:07:02] <Kuji> "Duplica? That's a strange name for a Pokemon."
  54. [17:07:43] <Steve> "Well, not for a Ditto," Steve chuckles, letting Duplica do its thing, as it started to shift into a Shuckle.
  55. 06[17:07:20] * Cole does, in fact, look towards the other two, and nods, opening Deius (his Dewott), Axon (his Sandslash), and Athena's (his Ralts) pokeballs. "No doubt you remember Deius and Athena...you'd remember Axon as well, if he looked the same." He still had 2 more balls, one a Great Ball, on his belt.

  58. [17:07:46] <Kuji> "Hm... oh, Ditto! Back in my village, the breeders always had a Ditto! I wonder why, though..."

  60. [18:07:47] <Steve> "Well, the couple who gave me Duplica mentioned it was the all purpose breeder's helper, able to stand in for either parent," Steve mentions.
  61. [18:07:04] <Steve> "Of course, it would always be more advantageous if we could find a father in the Bug egg group."
  62. [18:07:06] <Kuji> "Oh, cool! So you CAN breed this Shuckle!"
  63. 01[18:07:36] <Trevor> "I can't say I could forget Deius..." He recalls just what had happened before, feeling bad for poor Chamomile. Seriously, that was just brutal.
  64. 01[18:07:29] <Trevor> He then looks at the Sandslash and ... Oh God, that might hurt if he went to pet it.
  65. [18:07:34] <Steve> "I...well, I suppose I can," Steve notes with a chuckle. "Um, well, I can't start right away, since there was a show I volunteered to help set up, but I'm not attending that. You could leave Armo in my care during the show and I'll do what I can."
  66. 01[18:07:42] <Trevor> ( poor Chammy. Got wrecked by Razor Shell. )
  67. [18:07:22] <Cole> Deius starts clapping, but then stops when Axon gives him a look, and then opens the other two balls, a Combee and a Dratini coming out. "Seems both of us have gotten better since then." The Combee rests idly on Cole's shoulder, looking happy, while the Dratini just explores around. Athena seems to be hiding behind Deius.
  68. [18:07:30] <Kuji> "Ah, of course. Armo, this is Steve. He's going to take care of you for a bit." Armo bobbed his head up and down, and Kuji gave Steve his Pokeball. "Take care of him for me, alright?"
  69. [18:07:58] <Kuji> "Oh, wait. You're going to help set up the circus?"
  70. [18:07:53] <Steve> "I think that was the show they asked me to help set. They needed a few hands."
  71. 01[18:07:16] <Trevor> "Not terribly so... We've mostly just been out and about exploring Ivoryscape before arriving here on the ferry."
  72. [18:07:53] <Kuji> "Alright! It's settled then. I'll be helping along as well."
  73. 06[18:07:26] * Cole gave a short nod, and looked over. "A clown tried to kill me on a train, so my month could've gone better."
  74. 01[18:07:51] <Trevor> ( . . . well, that's cheery as all hell. )
  75. [18:07:19] <Cole> (Ain't it, though?!)
  76. 03[18:07:24] * Retrieving #althoregion modes...
  77. 01[18:07:45] <Trevor> "I'm... Sorry to hear that, Cole." is the first thing that comes out of Trevor's mouth, being suddenly slapped across the face with tales of almost dying. "But it seems you made it out of that incident relatively unharmed."
  78. [18:07:52] <Cole> "More than relatively." He looks towards him. "He couldn't even touch me. I was more worried about Deius than myself."
  79. 01[18:07:26] <Trevor> Trevor's gaze averts back to Deius... He wouldn't happen to have any visible battle scars, would he?
  80. [18:07:48] <Kuji> "So, Steve, where is this circus, anyways? Salino was just telling me about it a while ago."
  81. [18:07:07] <Cole> Deius did have a mildly visible scar on his side still, but didn't seem bothered by it. In fact, he extended his hand to Trevor happily. But this was normal confused behavior for the Dewott.
  82. 01[18:07:20] <Trevor> ( Left or right hand? )
  83. [18:07:28] <Cole> (Right.)
  84. [18:07:44] <Steve> "I wasn't entirely sure. I was supposed to meet one of their representatives, and then follow them to the site where we're setting up."
  85. 06[18:07:25] * ~Garlyle gets a BURST OF INSPIRATION - and starts driving into rules right the fuck now so he can have something awesome for you guys
  86. 06[18:07:25] * Steve is worried
  87. [18:07:36] <Kuji> "Ah. Alright. So, where is this meeting place?"
  88. 01[18:07:46] <Trevor> Trevor... seems hesitant to return the handshake, but does so anyways, extending his left hand outwards and twisting it around so it fits in.
  89. 06[18:07:20] * Steve holds up his cellphone, with a text message detailing the address.
  90. 01[18:07:28] <Trevor> "He didn't happen to receive that injury from the clown, did he?" He frowns at the sight (but also at the awkward. This may or may not be a familiar scene to Cole.)
  91. 01[18:07:00] <Trevor> ( You might recall Trevor doing the same thing with you at the stadium, Cole. )
  92. [18:07:59] <Cole> Deius seems slightly confused, because normally people do not accept his handshake, but then lowers his hand. Cole looks over and nods, clenching his fists. "Yeah...that was from the clown. He can attack me all he wants...but he screwed up by going after Deius like that."
  93. 01[18:07:37] <Trevor> "Well, many Pokemon are plenty resilient. I'm sure the scarring will heal before long..."
  94. 06[18:07:50] * Cole nods a little bit. "It already has been. Deius has taken all of this better than I have, it seems."
  95. [18:07:10] <Kuji> "Alright, then. So, um... shall we get going?"
  96. 01[18:07:37] <Trevor> ( Feel free to notice Trevor and Cole on your way out since we're outside :p )
  97. 01[18:07:49] <Trevor> ( Don't leave us out in the not-so-cold )
  98. [18:07:00] <Cole> ((Out in the warn?))
  99. [18:07:05] <Steve> "If you wanted to help out as well, sure." Steve stands up, and looks over. "By the way...I know it's a bit of a weird statement, but...how did we not notice the elephant in the room?"
  100. [18:07:20] <Cole> ((Sounds like the name of a pretentious indy record.))
  101. 06[18:07:26] * Steve takes this time to point to the literal elephant in the room.
  102. [18:07:46] <Kuji> "You mean Abe? Yeh, I noticed. But I waved to them, but they didn't notice. HEY, TREVOR!"
  103. 01[18:07:55] <Trevor> The Donphan is actually sitting outside... But that doesn't stop it from being plenty visible. Kuji would be a fool NOT to recognize Abe.
  104. 01[18:07:22] <Trevor> "If it weren't..." Trevor then jumps up startled upon hearing his name, causing poor Conor to recoil backwards afterwards, looking around to ID the source of the voice.
  105. [18:07:39] <Kuji> (Oh, like you can't recognize Kuji's voice.)
  106. 01[18:07:48] <Trevor> "Oh, hello again, Kuji! Wasn't expecting to come across you in Sandstep."
  107. 01[18:07:54] <Trevor> ( It was a quick IDing. :p )
  108. [18:07:14] <Cole> Athena jumps behind Deius as she hears the loud sound of someone calling over to the duo...group...thing. The Dratini (Kydor) makes his way over, tilting his head.
  109. [18:07:20] <Kuji> "Hm? Yeah! Salino's working, so I decided to walk around."
  110. [18:07:54] <Kuji> (Kuji has a BOOMING voice. That is now a fact.)
  111. 01[18:07:05] <Trevor> "Salino's present in Sandstep as well?"
  112. [18:07:49] <Kuji> "It IS his hometown."
  113. 01[18:07:17] <Trevor> "Then I suppose I'll have to try and pay him a visit some time soon."
  114. [18:07:48] <Kuji> "Haha. You should. Anyways, we're heading to help out the circus. Are you guys coming too?"
  115. 01[18:07:48] <Trevor> "I wouldn't mind at all. I had intended to scout out the circus myself before the festivities tomorrow, anyways..."
  116. 06[18:07:02] * Cole stands up, and makes his way towards the others, followed by his FIVE pokemon. FIVE. "I wasn't asked to help, but I'm just passing through, for the moment. I do not have anywhere I need to be quickly, though, so I could."
  117. 01[18:07:19] <Trevor> Trevor's tone had changed a bit as he said that...
  118. [18:07:43] <Kuji> "Hm? What's wrong with the circus?"
  119. [18:07:44] <Kuji> (brb quick meal)
  120. 01[18:07:44] <Trevor> "There's nothing wrong with the circus... I just... Still haven't come across a ticket myself. I was hoping to try and get one as an attempt to make it up to the rest of my Pokemon for..."
  121. 01[18:07:14] <Trevor> He trails off and doesn't finish the sentence. Kuji knows exactly what Trevor's talking about, though.
  122. 06[18:07:33] * Cole nodded a little bit. "I was hoping to get a ticket as well." He said no more, not wanting to say too much about his motivations.
  123. 01[18:07:37] <Trevor> ( Also, if anyone has Clairsentient / Lie Detector powers, Trevor's hiding ulterior motives. )

  131. 01[18:07:26] <Trevor> Trevor begins closing up his laptop and putting it away into his messenger bag. He re-attaches the little red wagon to Donphan by use of rope, then begins helping his Pokemon up into it.
  132. 06[18:07:49] * Steve returns Duplica to its ball, and moves out to the location where they'd meet the circus representative.
  133. 01[18:07:02] <Trevor> The Spheal... Is fucking heavy, and it doesn't take a genius to figure out that Trevor's having a shitload of trouble with the heavy little ball of blubbery fat.

  136. 06[18:07:48] * Cole begins to bring his Pokemon back into their pokeballs, the Dratini going to the Great Ball, following Steve because...well, he had nothing better to do. He looks over to Trevor. "You don't use Pokeballs?"
  137. 01[18:07:56] <Trevor> 1d20-8 HEAVE!
  138. [18:07:57] <DiceMaid-9001> Trevor, HEAVE!: 0 [1d20=8]
  139. [18:07:12] <Kuji> "..."
  140. 06[18:07:36] * Kuji turns around to see Trevor flailing with the Spheal. "...you need some help?"
  141. 01[18:07:45] <Trevor> Trevor is making no progress. "I... I do have PokeBalls for them, but I prefer not to use them... Admittedly, though, I probably should."
  142. [18:07:11] <Cole> "Probably, yes." He continues along. "It would be easier."
  143. 01[18:07:12] <Trevor> "And assistance would be much appreciated, Kuji." He steps back from the Spheal.
  144. 06[18:07:13] * Kuji grabs the Spheal and lifts it easily. "...you REALLY need to work out more."
  145. 01[18:07:43] <Trevor> "I'd rather not keep them inside unless they're injured or in danger, though... I can't imagine it's all that fun to..." He can't help but shoot a glare at Kuji. Like, really?
  146. [18:07:47] <Kuji> (*checks Pokedex* Yeah, 87 lbs is okay for him.)
  147. 01[18:07:04] <Trevor> ( Seriously, Kuji of all people should know why working out isn't an option for Trevor. )
  148. 01[18:07:18] <Trevor> ( Seriously, HOW many times has he had to re-attach the boy's arm, already? )

  150. [18:07:48] <Kuji> (I'd like to see Trevor doing some one-armed pushups.)

  155. 01[18:07:33] <Trevor> Regardless, once the Spheal is plopped into the basket (Which now has a lovely set-up of pillows and blankets for comfort), Trevor climbs up atop the Donphan, ready to roll out.

  160. 01[18:07:30] <Trevor> ( But a good chunk of that power goes towards just supporting his arm. )

  162. [18:07:39] <~Garlyle> (Okay, are we going to ZA CIRCUSU?)

  165. 01[18:07:12] <Trevor> Thankfully Donphan does not take the flavortext literally, 'cause God help Trevor and all of his Pokemon if Abe did.

  167. [18:07:55] <~Garlyle> It doesn't take you too long to arrive at the circus - oh wow, it's huge from the outside! You can see several truckfulls of equipment around it, too - seems they're quite busy setting up in town... for what will be all of one show tomorrow night. Kind of a shame.
  168. [18:07:35] <Kuji> "Man... Salino's going to be watching this... but I can't go..."
  169. 01[18:07:12] <Trevor> Along the way, Trevor had pulled out a manilla folder. Lots of scratchwork and notes and the like on the inside, and Trevor's still adding to it.
  170. [18:07:38] <Steve> "Quite the show...might need you two after all..." Steve mutters, looking at the balls on his belt.
  171. 01[18:07:51] <Trevor> "It seems they're pulling out all of the stops for this... Perhaps since it'll be the last for a while..."

  174. [18:07:52] <~Garlyle> For the most part, the entrance to the grounds isn't even really being watched, and passerbys on the street are occasionally pausing to watch - but quickly getting on with their lives

  177. 06[19:07:34] * Trevor and his small parade of Pokemon ride up to the entrance, perhaps through it if no opposition is posed.

  181. [19:07:38] <Steve> As Steve enters, he moves to call out his small parade of Pokemon, including the recently hatched Naga, and the recently caught piece of Lord Sludgicus.

Once they start getting closer, they can see a couple of the busy circus staff spotting them and starting to talk to one another. Before long, someone hurries over to you - a young blonde with hair slicked back and somewhat more formal attire than everyone else. "Excuse

  186. [19:07:55] <Kuji> "Yeah. Um... we're here to help?"
  187. 01[19:07:30] <Trevor> "Kuji had told me that you were in need of assistance, and I've come to see how I could provide, if it at all."
  188. 06[19:07:43] * Cole raised his hand. "Same here."
  189. [19:07:12] <~Garlyle> "Huhn? Oh, you must've gotten our posting for hands..." he clicks his tongue. "We're already pretty well off actually, we've got a few hands already helping out..." he seems to size you up as he rests a hand against his chin, thinking.
  190. [19:07:43] <Steve> "Oh. I wasn't aware how many had responded to the call," Steve says honestly. "We just had a few Pokemon of our own we thought might be able to assist."
  191. 06[19:07:54] * Cole looks towards him, thinkng for a moment, wondering just what his game is.
  192. 01[19:07:41] <Trevor> "The circus seems to be fairly large in scale. I can't imagine there isn't some place in which we could assist."
  193. [19:07:34] <~Garlyle> "...Well, alright. Wait right here for a couple minutes, I'm sure I can find a place for a few more hands, alright?" he nods to you and hurries off into the mess. He's pretty agile.

You get the feeling they're preparing stalls outside of the circus, in addition to laying down a fancy lead-in of some sort... it's hard to tell exactly -what- they're working at but you get the feeling the place will be transformed by tomorrow night.

  410. 01[20:07:50] <Trevor> Trevor freezes up when he hears Revas say he's gonna perform tomorrow... In the middle of messing with one of the bleachers.

  412. [20:07:11] <~Garlyle> "Revas, go check the riggings, alright?" Malahn instructs him, and the boy salutes happily and runs off, starting to climb all over the ones you guys have already set up.
  413. 06[20:07:39] * Kuji jogs over to one of the piles and starts setting that out up.
  414. 06[20:07:27] * Trevor tries to shake the thoughts out of his head as he further attempts to finish up with the bleacher he's at.
  415. 06[20:07:12] * Kuji finishes the bleacher and looks over to Trevor. "...something the matter?"
  416. [20:07:16] <~Garlyle> As you're nearing done, Malahn calls Revas over. "We're almost done; you wanna go get these guys'... thanks?"

  421. [20:07:01] <~Garlyle> "Well, it's only proper we give you something in return for helping us out, isn't it?" Malahn shrugs.

  423. 06[20:07:30] * Kuji pushes the bleacher he just finished next to the others.

  426. 06[20:07:24] * Kuji finishes lining up the bleachers together and stretches for a bit.
  427. 06[20:07:59] * Steve motions for Gaav and Sludgicus to finish setting the last bleacher in place, and get to his side, where he starts to lead them in a series of stretches.
  428. 01[20:07:37] <Trevor> When the last of the bleachers are finished, Donphan doesn't look very happy. Its protests of wanting to boast its own strength should not be going unheard at this point.
  429. [20:07:56] <~Garlyle> Once the last of them are in place, you see Revas running in as though on cue. He's carrying a little tray of Pokeballs.

  444. [20:07:18] <~Garlyle> Malahn is amused. You can hear him snickering.
  445. 01[20:07:30] <Trevor> "I appreciate the offer, but I don't think I can accept..." He tries to stop Revas from giving him the PokeBall when it's forced upon him.
  446. 06[20:07:54] * Cole thinks for a moment as he's offered the PokeBall.

  448. [20:07:23] <~Garlyle> Revas huffs at Trevor. "Go ahead and take 'em! It's what they're here for!" he seems a little offended D:

  451. 06[20:07:06] * Cole nods a little bit, and takes one of the PokeBalls. "I certainly appreciate the gesture."
  452. [20:07:07] <Steve> Steve thinks about it, and then smiles, kneeling down so he's looking Revas face to face. "So, they were...?" he asks in a friendly tone, his hand hovering over each in turn.

"But if you really insist..." He hesitantly starts to open the ball, though can't quite get himself to open it up quite yet. He looks back at his own Pokemon in the wagon, and that empty space in the middle of all of them.
