Imagine being insane. Imagine being surrounded by billions of other insane people. Everyone is naked. Imagine everyone hates each other so they constantly claw and bite at one another, retaining no concept of hygeine so they're all writhing around in their own *** and piss and blood. Welcome to [i]Nespithe[/i].

There's probably not even any need to tell you the guitar work is absolutely exemplarly. Alternating between spiralling, crushing, ridiculous, groovy, schizophrenic, implausible, orgasmic and maddening, both ever merging seamlessly together like peanut butter and jelly, guitarists Antti Boman and Aki Hytonen create a soundscape of genuine insanity. Even if a person was able to withstand the tremendous riffs, few could suffer the leads and solos without some permanent alterance to their conciousness.

The rhythm section also more than deliver. Drummer Mikko Vernes doesn't just blastbeat his way out of a fair contribution. His grooves and fills are immaculate, intelligent, and more than anything interesting. Bassist Ville Koistinen is often overshadowed by the monolithic riffs, but when he does have a chance to shine he holds his own. The guitarists definitely do not carry the band.

The vocals, while controversial, are amazing. Try making that sound with your voice you ***ing idiots. Despite being pristine, the vocals are actually fairly rarely employed so that the unique, insane and downright perfect instrumentation has the ability to shine.

So so what if the vocals sound kind of silly? So what if the songs are fairly samey? You'd have to kill yourself to experience purgatory like this.
