  1. Survey Results:
  2.
  3. F1: What do you like about the current mechanics?
  4. I like that compared to the old days of C2, we have a lot more options for making really neat characters with a whole range of abilities and powers.
  5. F2: What is something you dislike about the current mechanics?
  6. Its hard to say exactly. I think the system is pretty good the way it is but we should test things out some more, have some standard to hold powers to say what is and isn't broken.
  7. F3: What is something mechanics-related that you would like to see in the future?
  8. I would love to see some more parody in making builds. A bit more freedom to players for them to feel like they can make whatever and still do well. Might be unrealistic, but I think it is really good for the newbies to feel safe with their ideas.
  9. F4: Do you think something should be buffed/nerfed?
  10. I think we should explore a few more things with checks and non-psionic abilities. Nothing immediantly comes to mind to be nerfed, except maybe Eyebeams, but I think psionics in general needs to given a bit more testing.
  11. F5: Do you still have stuff to say?
  12. Mushrooms do not need a nerf, we need to patch the PHB to ban all fungal related lifeforms from the sessions. These things are a completely savage to any player.
  13.
  14. F1: What do you like about the current mechanics?
  15. rolling dice
  16. F2: What is something you dislike about the current mechanics?
  17. having to do maths
  18. F3: What is something mechanics-related that you would like to see in the future?
  19. more pacifist/support options (life aspect anyone?)
  20. F4: Do you think something should be buffed/nerfed?
  21. more cha stuff
  22. F5: Do you still have stuff to say?
  23. God save the queen.
  24.
  25. F1: What do you like about the current mechanics?
  26. Nothing pops out to me as outstanding? But it's mostly solid.
  27. F2: What is something you dislike about the current mechanics?
  28. MEDIUM ARMOR half-dex penalty is a killer considering it's usually dex characters that use medium armor (in most DnD things). Psionics also seem complicated, could use simplifying, to me anyway.
  29. F3: What is something mechanics-related that you would like to see in the future?
  30. No clue.
  31. F4: Do you think something should be buffed/nerfed?
  32. Humans need to be buffed a bit more, I think. I couldn't say how, though.
  33. F5: Do you still have stuff to say?
  34. nah
  35.
  36. F1: What do you like about the current mechanics?
  37. The ability for rp
  38. F2: What is something you dislike about the current mechanics?
  39. How far characters can be minmaxed using systems like psionics
  40. F3: What is something mechanics-related that you would like to see in the future?
  41. Mobility/movement mechanics, and the obvious paths, combat, etc.
  42. F4: Do you think something should be buffed/nerfed?
  43. Psionics - nerf, maneuvers - more used/buff, the move action - buff
  44. F5: Do you still have stuff to say?
  45. "); DROP-TABLES(); ?
  46.
  47. F1: What do you like about the current mechanics?
  48. Most things, to be honest.
  49. F2: What is something you dislike about the current mechanics?
  50. Lots of weapons are the exact same as other weapons, or just straight up worse. I'm aware this is being fixed, but it's currently my biggest gripe.
  51. F3: What is something mechanics-related that you would like to see in the future?
  52. Something that makes taking archeradicator be a good idea. This is entirely for selfish reasons, but also we should really have a racial not be completely useless.
  53. F4: Do you think something should be buffed/nerfed?
  54. STR Psions should be buffed somehow due to how their armor works when compared to dex psions. Also psions/nonpsions should be nerfed/buffed respectively so that they can be brought in line.
  55. F5: Do you still have stuff to say?
  56. Oh, we should also change underlings around. We can probably wait until the combat rework, but they should to be nerfed/buffed/rearranged, particularly liches, who should be given points in concentration so fire doesn't cripple them completely.
  57.
  58. F1: What do you like about the current mechanics?
  59. They would be fairly easy to get the hang of quickly for new people
  60. F2: What is something you dislike about the current mechanics?
  61. Most of them are stupid and not thought through
  62. F3: What is something mechanics-related that you would like to see in the future?
  63. I'd like to see some late game things like God Tiering and Fraymotifs done slightly if nothing else than just they would be interesting
  64. F4: Do you think something should be buffed/nerfed?
  65. Psionics is pretty good as it stands and just about every build would benefit from at least being a minor psion which is kind of unbalanced when no matter what happens your better off using a specific mechanic over not using said mechanic
  66. F5: Do you still have stuff to say?
  67. You guys really need to not try to buff and nerf stuff with 30+ DMs all arguing about this shit at once, nothing will ever get done if you don't cut down your balance team to fewer members
  68.
  69. F1: What do you like about the current mechanics?
  70. The whole system as a baseline is functional. That's something.
  71. F2: What is something you dislike about the current mechanics?
  72. Racials are broken, medium armor is worthless and unsatisfying, I've completely failed to salvage Jadeblood, Oliveblood is legitimately impossible to use because it depends on mechanics which do not exist.
  73. F3: What is something mechanics-related that you would like to see in the future?
  74. RACIALS NEED SO MUCH WORK OH GOD.
  75. F4: Do you think something should be buffed/nerfed?
  76. Antipsionics are flat out the worst damage dealing psionic power in literally every way- it deals less damage, costs more, and is melee only. Its utility is also worse than most of the other psionic damage abilities, even for minor psions.
  77. F5: Do you still have stuff to say?
  78. DONT TELL PSIONS TO USE HEAVY ARMOR PSIONS CANT USE HEAVY ARMOR JESUS CHRIST DONT TELL PEOPLE YOU HAVE A SOLUTION WITHOUT CHECKING TO SEE IF THE SOLUTION IS EVEN ALLOWED ON A BASIC LEVEL.
  79.
  80. F1: What do you like about the current mechanics?
  81. The system works right now, or at least works well enough to play a game with it.
  82. F2: What is something you dislike about the current mechanics?
  83. Medium armour is pointless, humans are underpowered (and being limited to minor psion is arbitrary and pointless), Fine Booty and Heritage are easy to abuse, liches are a "do you have fire?" checkbox instead of a danger, rolling for HP and PP is weird and everyone lies about it anyway, psions are too strong (or they're on fire and about to die), nonpsions are too weak, Take 10 / Take 20 apparently functions differently depending on who your DM is, you don't get feats nearly often enough to let individual characters feel different from one another, and we don't really have much incentive to try and make up unique feats anyway because the example ones are more likely to be approved and often stronger anyway.
  84. F3: What is something mechanics-related that you would like to see in the future?
  85. Fix that stuff I just said. More enemies would be cool too. Maybe a point buy system for stats instead of beint stuck with an array.
  86. F4: Do you think something should be buffed/nerfed?
  87. Buff: Medium armour, humans, highbloods. Nerf: Cerulean, Violet, fire.
  88. F5: Do you still have stuff to say?
  89. If you want humans to be versatile, then give them the option of adding +2 to two stats instead of the normal +1 to all: fewer points overall, so technically a "bad" option, but it gives them access to more builds other than Just Be Meh At Everything. The penalties for being psionic don't affect Dex psions at all. Medium armour is inferior to either light or heavy no matter what your stat array looks like. Highblood stat buffs and psionics function at an entirely different level of power. More players need to realize that you can ask the DM for stuff to happen, whether alchemy- or story-wise. They don't have to listen, but if you have an idea...
  90.
  91. F1: What do you like about the current mechanics?
  92. Would be nice to keep it simple and not let it expand like 3.5.
  93. F2: What is something you dislike about the current mechanics?
  94. Medium Armor, Grappling, No rules for a lot of things (Olive Bloods much?)... Everything is in seperate sheets all over the internet.
  95. F3: What is something mechanics-related that you would like to see in the future?
  96. Build your own custom class. You get a "slot" or path or something, that you can take bits and pieces from a list of options to make a unique and powerful character.
  97. F4: Do you think something should be buffed/nerfed?
  98. Dunno. Haven't played enough options.
  99. F5: Do you still have stuff to say?
  100. Not really? Kinda? Sorta? Am i still typing? Is typing 'saying' anything?
  101.
  102. F1: What do you like about the current mechanics?
  103. They kind of function and don't break 100% of the time.
  104. F2: What is something you dislike about the current mechanics?
  105. Psions are ridiculously versatile compared to Nonpsions who have nearly no options at all. On top of this, Psions basically lose the usage of their Psionics while fighting Highbloods which means that pretty much anything higher than a Purple almost insta-wins against a Psion. Enchant allows you to kite any enemy without a ranged attack, and set fire to any Psionic enemies who do have ranged attacks, the Yellowblood racial does less than the Oliveblood racial, which doesn't actually work. Speaking of which, Natural Touch (Bronzeblood), Tech Savvy (Yellowblood), and Vigilant (Tealblood) are literally just less-versatile reskins of Thirst For Knowledge (Burgundy). Born to Rule (Fuchsia) is practically useless due to complications with using Charisma-based skills on co-players. Humans are really underpowered compared to most trolls. The combat system is pretty shallow, and, without a DM who's willing to make cool encounters (I.e. Literally none of the base enemies) or allow you to do interesting things, ends up pretty stagnant and boring really quickly. If you aren't dual-wielding or using a minor-reload weapon, your minor action is often going to be useless or have little-to-no effect on the fight. There are no clear outlines for how powerful feats should be, overall characters themselves tend to feel really useless, because most of the time anything significant will come from your gear rather than anything on your part. The level cap is completely arbitrary considering literally no-one ever will reach level 30, on top of that, a lot of levels from 1-30 are nothing but stat increases, which makes the number of levels even more arbitrary, since there's nothing meaningful that occurs in most of them.
  106. F3: What is something mechanics-related that you would like to see in the future?
  107. More, varied uses for your minor actions. Major actions that are useful enough to where attacking isn't always you (It's technically not now, but it's very close to it). Just more combat options in general. Probably just an outright racial overhaul so that the power levels of the different races don't vary so wildly, and one race doesn't have a clear advantage over another. More interesting things that occur with levels, aside from just +1 to a stat and a skill and a mediocre feat every 5 levels.
  108. F4: Do you think something should be buffed/nerfed?
  109. The DC for Psionic concentration should be lowered a lot. The Psion is on fire is 20 DC with disadvantage, you may as well just say "You can't use Psionics with +15 in Concentration". Humans should be buffed. Weapons and armor should be nerfed, characters in general should be buffed.
  110. F5: Do you still have stuff to say?
  111. つ ◕_◕ ༽つ Give DIRETIDE volvo
  112.
  113. F1: What do you like about the current mechanics?
  114. character creation is simple, most stuff is easy to learn
  115. F2: What is something you dislike about the current mechanics?
  116. how the pp and psionics scaling system work
  117. F3: What is something mechanics-related that you would like to see in the future?
  118. a rework to melee and ranged non-magic combat, rework to AC scaling and hit//damage
  119. F4: Do you think something should be buffed/nerfed?
  120. nerf: dex psions
  121. F5: Do you still have stuff to say?
  122. hey mom, im on a survey
  123.
  124. F1: What do you like about the current mechanics?
  125. There is a lot of versatility about what your chars can do
  126. F2: What is something you dislike about the current mechanics?
  127. There is no real way to specialize your chars (sans psionics)
  128. F3: What is something mechanics-related that you would like to see in the future?
  129. Something along the lines of classes, though not as restrictive or monolithic
  130. F4: Do you think something should be buffed/nerfed?
  131. Not that I can think of at the moment
  132. F5: Do you still have stuff to say?
  133. Please don't go the route of hard, exclusive classes; the best thing about the current system is how open and versatile it is
