>Stuff starts to come into focus
>You're still in the barn
>Tied to a chair
>On top of a pyre
>Anon is holding a torch
>The other elements of Harmony are there too
>Standing in a cricle around you
>Anon notices you're awake
>"Give me one good reason why we shouldn't burn you here and now."
>Rainbow Dash speaks up
>"there is none! Fucking burn her now, you chucklefuck!"
>Twilight silently hushes her
>Apparently her authority is such that she can do that
>You notice your flank has a little cut that's still aching
>Well fuck
>You're tempted to let your reason be "because I love you, anon"
>But that wouldn't fly
"Anon...there's no good reason. But...Well, you remember what I said, right? About the ponies I assimilate?"
>"I do. Now you better have a damn good follow-up."
>Woah
>He's pretty much snarling
"Fuck. I'll make it short. I think I can separate her consciousness from mine and build a body from her out of my polymorphic cells. Okay? Lemme down from here and I'll try."
>Twilight gives an analytical look
>"I say we give her a chance. After all, if it works, we'll at least have our dear applejack back. But if we burn her, there's no chance in tartarus of that."
>Words of wisdom
>From Rarity, no less
>The ponies, as well as Anon, sigh
>"I guess we'll have to"
>Anon unties you
>"Make it quick."
>You nod and focus
>You focus on everything Applejack is
>There's a lot to sift through
>But soon enough you've assembled the essential applejack
>Now comes the painful part
>You start to grow a new head for Applejack out of your flesh
>Then a neck
>So forth and so on
>It is slimy as all fuck
>You see all of the ponies retching
>Anon just stands there, waiting for you to make a move
>Eventually, you've parted with mass exactly equal to the pony you consumed
>She looks good as new
>Well
>Covered in slime
>And her eyes are closed
>A nudge, and she stirs
>"Ugh...howdy, y'all, I just had the worst dr-"
>She looks at you
>And scurries away
>"Celestia bless! That wasn't no dream!"
>You shrink back
"Applejack, I'm..I'm really, truly sorry."
>Anon looks relieved
>"Check on her. Make sure she's the pony you know and love"
>The others waste no time gathering around Applejack, drying the slime off of her and asking her questions and so forth, making sure she really is Applejack. Even poking and prodding at her
>Anon focuses intently on you
>"Thing. Jesus, thing, why'd you do that?"
>You don't even give a damn anymore
"Because I was jealous and it tipped over for me and I decided since she wanted you and you wanted her, I'd have to become her. Fuck, is that so difficult to understand?!"
>Anon throws away the torch
>Then pulls you into a hug
>"You stupid little pony thing"
>He's choking up
>"I..I didn't want to alert them. Or knock you out. Or anything of this. But...you're dangerous, thing. Especially when you do this sort of stuff. I love you, but I also love my friends, and if you're going to start killing them, then I can't let you do that. You see where I'm coming from, right?"
>You feel his tears on you
>You break down sobbing
>You're incoherent for a while
>Anon is mostly trying to console both you and himself
>The ponies are cautiously watching
>It seems like they've accepted Applejack as being the pony she once was
>Well, judging from their reactions, at least
>Twilight steps forth
>"Anonymous? Is she calm?"
>He nods
>"About as much as you can be given the circumstances"
>"Then please let me talk to her."
>He looks at you, then lets go, stepping back
>You look up at Twilight
>Trying your best to look pitiable
>"You're aware that what you did was wrong, and why it was wrong, right?"
>She's clearly not very happy with you, but at least willing to try and be diplomatic
"Yes. Yes yes yes. A thousand times yes. I would say 'do whatever you want with me', but truth be told, I'm scared, Princess. I don't want to die."
>Your voice is incredibly hoarse
>She raises an eyebrow
>"We don't kill here. Not without a very good reason."
"I..I hate to question you, princess, but I know what became of Sombra."
>Twi looks taken aback
>"We had no choice. Here, it looks like we may. Anon has told us about you in excruciating detail, and I believe there may be some way of solving this without the loss of life."
>Her expression hardens
>"Although it'd be a different story if Applejack hadn't been fine. It's cruel to say, but that's not the sort of thing we can tolerate."
>You nod
"But...well..if you're not going to kill me, then what?"
>"I'd like to study you. Under heavy supervision, of course. And outfit you with a collar through which we can survey you and terminate you at any time if it becomes necessary. I hope it won't"
>She sounds like she regrets this entire thing ever happening
>You all probably do
"I-I'd ve willing to do go along with that."
>"In that case, you'll be in Anon's custody. He will have the authority and means to terminate you."
