[2016-05-24 23:05:04] Seville Mistress: For instance, you might start hitting at 600. But when you are about to reach 5000 limit mark, your damage lowers to 100
[2016-05-24 23:05:30] Seville Mistress: Village idols have 60 000 shield immidietly after being lit
[2016-05-24 23:05:43] Seville Mistress: Personal claims have to gain it and start from 0
[2016-05-24 23:05:54] Seville Mistress: Shields regen 300 hp an hour
[2016-05-24 23:06:00] Seville Mistress: making up 7200 hp a day.
[2016-05-24 23:06:39] Seville Mistress: You can infuse the claims with brimstones. 1 brimstone = 250 hp every 30 mins.

[2016-05-24 23:07:17] Seville Mistress: So, if you manage to keep infusing the shield with brims, you can potentially regen more than 19 000 hp every 24 hours

[2016-05-24 23:07:40] Seville Mistress: This is important, since it also delays the siege process.
[2016-05-24 23:07:46] Seville Mistress: For your enemy.
[2016-05-24 23:08:16] Seville Mistress: Longer they have to siege your place, lower their discipline, concentration will be.
[2016-05-24 23:08:51] Seville Mistress: It will also allow you enough time to alt vault everything and make sure they won't get anything from the raid.
[2016-05-24 23:09:09] Seville Mistress: So try to secure a reliable brimstone sourse, or create better trading connections.
[2016-05-24 23:09:26] Seville Mistress: There are 3 siege engines atm.
[2016-05-24 23:09:34] Seville Mistress: First one is a battering ram.
[2016-05-24 23:09:58] Seville Mistress: Requires 4 hours to dry initially, 2 hours - after being repaired.
[2016-05-24 23:10:14] Seville Mistress: Cannot be used for the defence purposes, unless you want to take down your village idol
[2016-05-24 23:10:52] Seville Mistress: Raiders prefer using it because it can deal as much damage as 3-4 catapults
[2016-05-24 23:11:08] Seville Mistress: And costs 3-4 times less in terms of brims used for repair.
[2016-05-24 23:11:37] Seville Mistress: The next siege engine is the catapult.
[2016-05-24 23:12:08] Seville Mistress: It is being used widely due to its range, that allows the enemy to use it from a siege palisade pocket.
[2016-05-24 23:12:50] Seville Mistress: Repaired by 1 brimstone, requires 10 stones to shoot. Can shoot 3 times only before being repaired.
[2016-05-24 23:13:04] Seville Mistress: The last one is the wrecking ball
[2016-05-24 23:13:19] Seville Mistress: Although our dear devs believe that they will be used only for the domestic purposes
[2016-05-24 23:13:31] Seville Mistress: Like destroying unneeded walls sections
[2016-05-24 23:13:35] Seville Mistress: ...or knarrs ;)
[2016-05-24 23:13:47] Seville Mistress: they have been used in sieges as well.
[2016-05-24 23:14:16] Seville Mistress: They don't require any brimstones to be repaired. Only 24 hours to be dried
[2016-05-24 23:14:38] Seville Mistress: However, they can be destroyed easily by alts or cave ins, since they have no soak.
[2016-05-24 23:15:15] Seville Mistress: So, what does all this mean for you?
[2016-05-24 23:15:37] Seville Mistress: It means you have to check your area for alien personal claims and village idols daily.
[2016-05-24 23:15:49] Seville Mistress: + check your walls for wrecking balls.
[2016-05-24 23:16:09] Seville Mistress: Since the attackers need around 12+ hours to take down your shield.
[2016-05-24 23:16:31] Seville Mistress: And it is very hard to do if you do not have walls to hide inside.
[2016-05-24 23:17:04] Seville Mistress: 90% of all sieges will rely on placing a siege claim, building a palisade/brickwall on it, then making the siege engines.
[2016-05-24 23:17:27] Seville Mistress: The rest 10% will rely on placing a stealth wrecking ball and using an alt to bash your shield every hour.
[2016-05-24 23:18:07] Seville Mistress: Therefore, your task is to make sure that your enemy cannot secure themselves in  palisade pocket.
[2016-05-24 23:18:14] Seville Mistress: To do so you could either:
[2016-05-24 23:18:46] Seville Mistress: - check your area daily every 14-16 hours for any alien palisades, personal claims and bash them/siege down.
[2016-05-24 23:19:35] Seville Mistress: - or settle another village outside of your core village and circle the village claim around your place
[2016-05-24 23:19:44] Seville Mistress: That way they cannot build a wall pocket
[2016-05-24 23:20:17] Seville Mistress: The other important thing to do is to make sure that your village has as many shields as possible.
[2016-05-24 23:20:28] Seville Mistress: Replace all the undeground level banners
[2016-05-24 23:20:32] Seville Mistress: with personal claims.
[2016-05-24 23:20:51] Seville Mistress: But make sure that the personal claims will gain enough shield.
[2016-05-24 23:21:17] Seville Mistress: by waiting for 7-8 days, if you do not infuse them with brims.
[2016-05-24 23:21:40] Seville Mistress: Also, make sure that you have a complete control over your authority objects.
[2016-05-24 23:22:02] Seville Mistress: As in, do not have any banners overextending from your walls
[2016-05-24 23:22:18] Seville Mistress: Since they will be used by the enemies in the following abusing fasion:
[2016-05-24 23:22:37] Seville Mistress: they will build a house on the village claim and siege it instead of your walls.
[2016-05-24 23:23:00] Seville Mistress: You would have to go outside to bash the banner. Which is hard to do if you do not have fighters
[2016-05-24 23:23:10] Seville Mistress: The enemy will just slaughter you on sight
[2016-05-24 23:23:31] Seville Mistress: You may also consider building second layer of walls
[2016-05-24 23:23:38] Seville Mistress: With a separate village claim.
[2016-05-24 23:24:17] Seville Mistress: The enemies are human too. So they will less likely siege you, if you will have multiple shield layers

[2016-05-24 23:26:42] Seville Mistress: It has required gathering an army to bash the banners ourside of the shadowmoon.
[2016-05-24 23:27:44] Seville Mistress: So, yes, don't have any authority objects that you cannot bash/destroy by yourself safely

[2016-05-24 23:29:17] Seville Mistress: Rule 1. Make sure you check your area for alien pclaims, idols and etc daily. Especially for new drying palisades.
[2016-05-24 23:29:28] Seville Mistress: They might mask it under another village, so sadly, you have to be a bit aggressive in this terms.
[2016-05-24 23:29:37] Seville Mistress: Personal claims are easier to deal with, since they have no shield in the beginning.
[2016-05-24 23:29:54] Seville Mistress: But if you have missed the idol, you're half-doomed.
[2016-05-24 23:30:05] Seville Mistress: Rule number 2, have as many shields as possible. Therefore, place personal claims for every plot inside of your village.
[2016-05-24 23:30:12] Seville Mistress: This means, that your underground levels should be covered by separate personal claims and have to village claim banners.
[2016-05-24 23:30:20] Seville Mistress: Ideally, your village should be circled by another village idol claim. That way your enemy has to siege your place for more than 12 hours.
[2016-05-24 23:30:25] Seville Mistress: And you will have more time to prepare your village, alt vault things and etc.
[2016-05-24 23:30:38] Seville Mistress: Rule number 3. Make sure that you control and observe the areas of your greatest weakness.
[2016-05-24 23:30:48] Seville Mistress: Those are your walls, village authority objects. Therefore, if you have exterior banners, your enemy can just build a house on your territory and lower your shield, without you being able to find out what is happening in time.
[2016-05-24 23:31:01] Seville Mistress: The best defense is preparation for the siege. As in creating an optimal layout.

[2016-05-24 23:37:31] Seville Mistress: So you could also consider having 2-3 camps in case one of them would be raided.
[2016-05-24 23:37:58] Seville Mistress: Personal claims drain slowly. It will take 36 hours for your enemies to kill your domestic animals.
[2016-05-24 23:38:36] Seville Mistress: Changing the place where you live when it is needed is another viable and less stressful option.
[2016-05-24 23:38:48] Seville Mistress: You might consider moving to the north-eastern map boundaries, but it does not mean you will be safe.
[2016-05-24 23:39:18] Seville Mistress: Make sure you will always have enough clay and other materials
[2016-05-24 23:39:27] Seville Mistress: For building beacons to spawn alts.
[2016-05-24 23:39:35] Seville Mistress: So you could altvault everything valuable
[2016-05-24 23:40:06] Seville Mistress: The last, but not least important is to know the major raiding factions online.
