GenPro Fluff

Started by the renowned Anna Triste over twenty years ago, Progen has Union roots and a humble origins. Originally a simple genetics firm to sequence and improve plant diversity and crop yield. Since it's inception it has grown to be a viable multi-market Corporation. It deals in crops, food animals, post treatment and prevention of certain cancers, gene mods for soldiers, Treatments for more common genetic diseases, and even cosmetics that supposedly make the user look and feel younger. It's crowning glory,however, is ProGel. ProGel is a undifferentiated mass of bacteria and other key substances designed to clean, seal, repair and bolster the natural healing of the area around a wound. It is incredibly expensive but it's effectiveness is undeniable. Thus far no one has been able to replicate the substance's complicated formula. Giving GenPro a substantive advantage in the biomedical market as other corporations move to steal or replicate the secret for themselves.

All this has lead to GenPro being a moderately respected and renowned genetics firms on the planet, with attempts at in routes being made for new offices and labs across the world. However, all this fame and growth has not gone unnoticed, GenPro's labs have been attacked by terrorists, fundamentalists, and rival labs in the past. There are even rumors of governmental "intrusions." As such GenPro has had to create it's own private security force to keep it's secrets and employees safe and secure. There have been rumors of extensively genemodded soldiers "on loan" to the Union as well as strikes against other genetics firms, the aggressors using weapons similar to GenPro's PSF. Nothing has been definitively proven because of the massive proliferation of weapons, and the fact it could easily have been a false flag movement.  Of course this has not stop conspiracy theorists from accusing GenPro of all this and worse. Accusations ranging from the droll "GenPro genemods hookers to be super sluts for politicians" to the insane "GenPro is ruled by lizardmen who sue the flesh and blood of humans as play things!" to the illegal, "GenPro experiments and uses humans and their flesh for the goods and services" to the  humanly impossible, "GenPro has figured out immortality and uses it to bribe world leaders to do their will!" Obviously all this is hearsay and superstition, it has still cast a pall on GenPro's endeavors and expansion, as oversight has increased substantially of late.
