- 7 - - Jack in the Box
- OMEN: Girl
- ROOM: Charred Room, Gallery, Gymnasium, Junk Room
- TRAITOR: Haunt revealer
- "Well hello there little girl, what are you playing with?" If the scariest thing in this mansion is the owner's five-year-old daughter, tonight's ghost-hunting adventure is going to be uneventful.
- "A jack-in-a-box!" she answers cheerfully, just as she finishes turning its crank. The empty box springs open and you can't help but chuckle at the sight.
- "Where’s Jack then?"
- She looks up with an innocent smile and points somewhere above your shoulder. "Jack's right behind you!"
- ----
- Right Now
- The serial killer Crimson Jack has killed you. Remove your figure from the game.
- Place the Crimson Jack token (large) and the Girl token (red) in the room where this haunt was revealed. If the Axe has been discovered, take it from whoever currently holds it. If not, search through the item pile and draw it.
- ----
- What You Know About the Heroes
- Their bodies will go squish and crack, if they turn their back on Jack's red axe.
- ----
- You Win When …
- … all of the heroes are dead.
- ----
- Crimson Jack
- Crimson Jack may use the Axe item. He may not drop his Axe voluntarily. If Crimson Jack is defeated in combat, he drops the Axe (instead of stunning or taking damage). Jack may not attack anyone without holding the Axe, unless he is protecting the Girl. Jack cannot damage anyone while he is not holding his Axe, unless he is protecting the Girl. Jack may pass his turn in order to summon the Axe back into his hands, regardless of where it is in the house or if it is currently in a hero's possession (Jack doesn't like others touching his Axe).
- ----
- The Girl
- The little Girl found Jack outside and invited him in to play. She's very excited to learn this new game he has planned, and definitely wants to win.
- If the Girl would take any damage from attacking or being attacked, Crimson Jack immediately appears in her room to defend her and makes a Might 4 attack against whoever hurt the Girl (Jack gets to roll 5 dice for this attack if he has his Axe). The Girl cannot become stunned. The Girl always takes her turn after Jack. The Girl may move as normal during her turn, even if she was being carried by a hero during his or her turn. The Girl does not slow heroes, and heroes do not slow the Girl.
- ----
- If You Win …
- Jack and Jill
- In the House on the Hill
- Played with their friends all night.
- Then that old Jack
- Put his axe in Jill's back
- And took off at the first morning light.
