Fhyber's Route optimizations

Right so, last night laying in bed I had an idea, was it possible we could save some time in 2 places in the route, having dark bead for stray demon and having dark bead for pris (killing her before she can dissapear, I a video that killed her before she could dissapear, so if one hit physically can't kill her, perhaps a max range crystal soul mass into a carefully timed crystal soul spear can).

The idea is moving stray demon, gwyndolin and pris to after doing the DLC, and not picking up normal soul mass.

The breaking point for the run is having 44 int to be able to use CSS on sif, that way no one is losing time on other bosses, you only need 8 soul spears to kill hydra/golden golem, as well as seath (and if my math is wrong a single or two hits from the crystal sword should finish those people off if 8 souls spears don't).

The way this would work out is we avoid buying normal soul mass at all, and only get 14 attunement, not leveling attunement says approximately 50k souls (you can level it after sanctuary guardian)


So the souls break down, to have the same level at sif we need this many more souls
42K - Pris + pris soul
56K - Gwyndolin + gwyndolin soul
20K - Stray demon

so we have to make up 118k souls in change
118k souls to make up
98k - Not buying normal soul mass
48k - Not leveling attunement past 14
43k - Grabbing the extra 5k in sen's fortress
33k - Killing butterfly (normally we have enough int before killing it)
28k - there's also 5k souls in Duke's that we don't pick up (under the first stairs)

25/22k - there's the 3/6k in blight town you can grab

It takes 11k to level int to 45 (and you do so before killing butterfly), so 10k of that is from the sen's 10k souls, grabing the seath 10k souls brings us down to
15/12k total.


If you can some how somewhere else make up those souls, this can work.



So the boss order would be

Normal order
Ornstein/Smough
(buy soul spear, place lord vessel, warp to firelink and buy soul spear #2 (gotta save a bit before ornstein/smough))
Hydra
Seathe
Stray demon
Butter/sif/dlc
Gwyndolin
Pris
Bed of chaos/rest of game


I think it could work with some pris testing on how to kill her before she dissapears( if 1 dark bead + PW isn't enough).

The other alternate route could be resting at gwyndolin bonfire after lordvessel, kill him then warp and do seathe and come back to pris/stray demon after getting dark bead.

Either way food for thought, could overall save anywhere between 5 to 35 seconds if it works out.

10-25 seconds on stray demon
10-15 seconds on pris
1 second on gwyndolin (you'll lose the 1 second on butterfly probably though)

minus the time it takes to pick up extra souls and the 1 extra (or 2 extra) warps you'll have to do.

The question of if it's worth it, can you in less than adding 30 seconds to the run do the following, 1 extra warp, grab the 5k and 10k in sen's, grab the 10k before seathe, grab the 5k in duke's, get the other 12k we're missing

OR

alternatively, not have 44 int for sif but have a few second slower sif fight, by using crystal soul mass and normal soul spears, it should be 1 or two more casts honestly, and he gives a ton, so that you don't have to grab either of the 10k souls or the 5k in sen's, MOST LIKELY this is faster, you'll have 44 for guardian (and in this case you'd need to level attunement to 16 before sif to get both soul spear attuned), that'll be losing 5-10 seconds on sif to gain 20-45 on pris/stray, maybe stray dies to like 2 normal soul spears with tin catalyst in that case you might be able to get 44 int for sif
