  14. [2011-02-16 14::12:27] Dmitriy_Platonov: After hearing Al-Misiri's last phrase, Dmitriy looks down for a moment. These words are too terrible. "So they are going just... left us behind, to be the prey to whatver monsters would hunt us? This is even worse than I thought at first."
  15. [2011-02-16 14::13:51] Mia_al-Misiri: is still nervous, mouth hanging open slightly, but at least guns aren't being pointed at people! She stays quiet for the moment though.

  20. [2011-02-16 14::24:58] Dmitriy_Platonov: A short pause. "Everyone has their own secrets which should be left in darkness. I understand. So, what is next? The HOST has done its move, it was swift and deadly, and almost brought our defeat upon us. But we are still standing, so we must plan and retaliate."

  28. [2011-02-16 14::35:42] Dmitriy_Platonov: "They... hosted the party we've attended, Mia. So you see that they are not nice."

We will begin, of course, by outwardly behaving as if we are still in a state of... internal chaos, as they have intended to cause. This will be aided by your continued correspondence with the YGSTH system, in which you will deliver the message that NERV's command is locked in internal disputes over yesterday's... fiasco."
  35. [2011-02-16 14::41:35] Doink: Al-Misiri, quietly: "Not now Mia. I'll explain it later."
  36. [2011-02-16 14::41:57] Mia_al-Misiri: nods and starts not talking again.
  37. [2011-02-16 14::43:53] Dmitriy_Platonov: "Of course. I will contact them, pretend to be panicked, ask them questions about yesterdays's events and their involvements in them. They will likely provide me a half-true answer, a cunning lie to make me cooperate. What should I report about you?"
  38. [2011-02-16 14::48:25] Doink: You can see the corners of a smile on the side of his face. "Oh, that I am swinging between ranting and raving about conspiracies and monsters and slipping into deep depressions. Alfred, of course, is acting as a voice of reason, and holding me back from launching some kind of misguided assault."
  39. [2011-02-16 14::50:33] Mia_al-Misiri: loses interest after a few moments and sits off the edge of the platform, watching the fragment, moving her hand around between her eyes and it and experimenting with its results.
  40. [2011-02-16 14::53:09] Dmitriy_Platonov: "Hmmm. We actually have a good excuse for not launching an assault. The current state of Evangelions... but I guess that we can make them worry a little. Like, saying that I was ordered to work some plans of rather disturbing deployments... They are still humans, I assume, and for a mortal human the prospect of meeting Evangelion in combat is rather terrifying."
  41. [2011-02-16 14::57:31] Doink: Al-Misiri: "Yes, and even with the resources at their disposal, it will be months before they can begin production of their own Evangelion units."
  42. [2011-02-16 14::58:11] Doink: Al-Misiri: "Once they begin, though, working from the Mass-Production model will allow them to build quickly."
  43. [2011-02-16 14::59:40] Dmitriy_Platonov: "But they already have one..." - Dmitriy sighs. - "And it seems to be a quite powerful one. Our pilots outnumbered it and yet they were picked out one by one. If not for D'Ellaine's resolve and deep hatred for that... creature, things could have been worse."
  44. [2011-02-16 15::12:26] Doink: Al-Misiri: "Thankfully, most of that seems to have been the Avatar's doing. With a human pilot, its capabilities would be more in line with our own units. But they could quickly outnumber us."
  45. [2011-02-16 15::14:06] Dmitriy_Platonov: sighs. "Human pilot... Are there any hopes of... saving her?"
  46. [2011-02-16 15::18:28] Doink: Carter turns back towards you. "...That would depend on what you consider 'saving.' There are reports that Ms. Castaigne has been... found by law enforcement outside of the Zone. She is being transported here as we speak. If you wish to... see her, you may. I have been told, though, that she is not a pleasant sight."
  47. [2011-02-16 15::22:58] Dmitriy_Platonov: "That is my work to do so. To know, and to tell mister D'Ellaine what he can expect. This pilot is, probably, our truest possible ally, and I intend to strengthen his loyalty and devotion by telling him bits of awful truth."
  48. [2011-02-16 15::28:06] Doink: Carter nods. "I will leave that up to your... discretion. You know them better than I."
  49. [2011-02-16 15::47:06] Doink: With that, Carter taps his food on a section of the platform, and it begins to again ascend....
