>As you munch away, you easily note Dash trying to move stealthily towards you.
>You'd be lying if you said all this out of character affection you were getting from her was unwelcome
>you let her make her way over to you. She keeps darting her eyes between you and the ground

>but dash was here, and right now she look halfway between bailing or bawling

>you extend you arm and grab the small pegasi
>she eeps as you pull her over onto your lap
>she turns her head up at you only to see your soft smile
>she makes to respond but stops when you begin to lovingly stroke her, all the way from the top of her mane down her neck, over her wing joints and resting on her withers before reversing up the same path
>you bring your other, now sandwhich free hand to her face and begin to run gentle circles in the fuzz on her cheek with your thumb
>you feel her lean into your hand, whimpering happily
>you see her smile start quivering, you know what comes next
>tears
>not of sadness but of pure unmatchable happiness
>she wanted this, more than anything
>she wanted to be yours, to be told that she was loved, something she'd never had to cherish before
>She wanted you. she didn't care what others thought, she wanted you for all you were worth
>she loved you
>and that small blossom in your chest that you felt told you
>you were falling for her too
>suddenly, she opens her tear filled eyes and looks straight up at you
>she says nothing except putting her forehooves on your shoulders and sitting in your lap, belly to belly
>she hugs you like the world was ending, she burrows her beautiful  blue face into your warm chest with the most intense nuzzles you could imagine

>throughout it all, you kept stroking her, making sure she knew that you were here and you weren't going to let go anytime soon.
