  3. What is this category?

  5. This is a 'completionist' category for Golden Sun. The objective is to collect everything that can be transferred via a Bronze password. To be precise:
  6. - Collect all 28 djinn
  7. - Collect all field psynergy items
  8. - Complete all quests which unlock events in TLA
  9.  
  10. No S&Q means no Save & Quit, and its main purpose is to eliminate RNG manipulation in the run. It also prevents access to a few glitches but this is a minor consequence.

  12. What Quests unlock events in TLA?

  14. Glad you asked. There are six events which can be transferred:
  15. - Save Hsu
  16. - Free the bandits
  17. - Speak with Dora in Vale after visiting Kalay
  18. - Win Colosso
  19. - Free Hammet
  20. - Defeat Deadbeard

  22. Why is this 100%?

  24. We thought that defeating one copy of every enemy is a requirement to have a all enemies unlocked in battle mode, thus counts towards the definition of 100%. However it is instead one copy of every encounter group - each dungeon has 8 possible encounter groups and defeating one copy of each of those groups would unlock that group in the battle arena. As there are encounter groups that can appear indistinguishable without memory reading this requirement is no longer considered humanly feasible.

  30. Are there any run killers?

  32. Less than Any%. We're going to try fleeing a bunch and if RNG is not with us we could die, especially Boulder Beasts which have a penchant for using Dynamite. But this isn't the only way:

  34. - Losing to Navampa immediately kills the run, as the Colosso quest cannot be completed
  35. - Most of Crossbone Isle is ok, except for Door 9 . Double Cerberus - these guys can stun people and end the run
  36. - S&M / FD can always decide to end the run via Death Size or Severe Blow proc

  38. What is different from Any% No S&Q

  40. There's a lot of added content between these two runs (as you would expect), but a lot of strategies will be recognisable. For instance, yes - summon rushing everything is still really good. Yes - Colosso is still really trolly. We will switch into flee strats after Crossbone isle which makes for a faster but scarier Venus 2.
