  1. [COLOR="Yellow"][center][b][u]III. Allies of Judgment - Other Monster Support[/u][/b][/center][/color]
  2. There are a select few monsters that synergize with our strategy very well, but are not part of the Lightsworn archetype, nor do they directly support it.
  3.
  4. [quote]Honest
  5. Level 4
  6. Fairy-Type
  7. LIGHT
  8. 1100 ATK
  9. 1900 DEF
  10. During your Main Phase: You can [YGOCARD]Return[/YGOCARD] this card from the field to its owner's hand. During either player's Damage Step, when a face-up LIGHT monster you control battles: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to have that monster gain ATK equal to the ATK of the opponent's monster it is battling, until the End Phase.[/quote]
  11. This Deck is almost entirely LIGHT. Honest doesn't need any explanation beyond that. He was tailor-made for us.
  12.
  13. Run 1.
  14.
  15. [quote]Necro Gardna
  16. Level 3
  17. Warrior-Type
  18. DARK
  19. 600 ATK
  20. 1300 DEF
  21. During your opponent's turn: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; negate 1 attack from a monster your opponent controls.[/quote]
  22. [YGOCARD]Necro Gardna[/YGOCARD] is the prime example of a monster our strategy lets us take advantage of. Once it's in the Graveyard, Necro is almost impossible to stop. Drawing him kinda sucks, but at least he becomes fuel for Lumina or another defensive wall.
  23.
  24. Run 2-3.
  25.
  26. [quote]Gorz the Emissary of Darkness
  27. Level 7
  28. Fiend-Type
  29. DARK
  30. 2700 ATK
  31. 2500 DEF
  32. When you take damage from a card your opponent controls: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. You must control no cards to activate and to resolve this effect. When Special Summoned this way, activate the [YGOCARD]Appropriate[/YGOCARD] effect, based on the type of damage:
  33. * Battle Damage: Special Summon 1 "Emissary of Darkness Token" (Fairy-Type/LIGHT/Level 7/ATK ?/DEF ?). Its ATK and DEF are each equal to the amount of Battle Damage you took.
  34. * Effect Damage: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to the amount of damage you took.[/QUOTE]
  35. Our low Trap count makes Gorz a nice candidate for shifting the tide of the Duel. Unfortunately, recent threats such as [YGOCARD]Evilswarm Ophion[/YGOCARD] and [YGOCARD]Number 11: Big Eye[/YGOCARD] have reduced his effectiveness.
  36.
  37. Run 0-1.
  38.
  39. [quote]Plaguespreader Zombie
  40. Level 2
  41. Zombie-Type/Tuner
  42. DARK
  43. 400 ATK
  44. 200 DEF
  45. You can [YGOCARD]Return[/YGOCARD] 1 card from your hand to the top of the Deck; Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. If you do, banish it when it leaves the field.[/quote]
  46. The emblem of a dying age. Without Synchro powerhouses like [YGOCARD]Goyo Guardian[/YGOCARD], and with his partner [YGOCARD]Glow-Up Bulb[/YGOCARD] currently Forbidden, Plaguespreader's use has dropped dramatically. Now even Raiden does his job better. Maybe someday he'll find a spot as a staple again.
  47.
  48. Run 0-2.
  49.
  50. [quote]Card Trooper
  51. Level 3
  52. Machine-Type
  53. EARTH
  54. 400 ATK
  55. 400 DEF
  56. Once per turn: You can choose a number from 1 to 3, then send that many cards from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard; this card gains 500 ATK for each card sent to the Graveyard this way, until the End Phase. When this card you control is destroyed and sent to your Graveyard: Draw 1 card.[/quote]
  57. He mills for a cost. He also nets you a draw. He effectively has 1900 ATK. These are all of the perks of [YGOCARD]Card Trooper[/YGOCARD]. But there are flaws.
  58.
  59. He isn't a Lightsworn. He isn't LIGHT. And he dies easily. Synergy is a key to any Deck, and Trooper lacks much of it.
  60.
  61. However, that does not mean that he's bad. In fact, Trooper is quite good. But his importance is slowly diminishing. Raiden does his job almost as well and synergizes better. For now, [YGOCARD]Card Trooper[/YGOCARD] is a good choice, but he may not be for much longer.
  62.
  63. Run 2 pre-DSLJ, run 0-2 post-DSLJ.
  64.
  65. [quote]Phantom of Chaos
  66. Level 4
  67. Fiend-Type
  68. DARK
  69. 0 ATK
  70. 0 DEF
  71. Once per turn: You can banish 1 monster in your Graveyard; this card's name is treated as that monster's name, and it gains that monster's ATK and effect. Any Battle Damage this card inflicts becomes 0.[/quote]
  72. There's actually a lot of utility to [YGOCARD]Phantom of Chaos[/YGOCARD]. It may not be able to deal damage, but it makes [YGOCARD]Judgment Dragon[/YGOCARD] free and allows Lumina to make Rank 4 monsters. It's also a great way to bait out backrow for your real [YGOCARD]Judgment Dragon[/YGOCARD].
  73.
  74. Run 0-1.
  75.
  76. [quote]Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite
  77. Level 4
  78. Winged Beast-Type
  79. DARK
  80. 1600 ATK
  81. 1000 DEF
  82. You can [YGOCARD]Return[/YGOCARD] 1 face-up card you control to the hand; Special Summon this card from your Graveyard and take 400 damage. Each player can activate the effect of "Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite" once per Duel.[/quote]
  83. Zephyros has some combos to him that allow Rank 4 plays, but they are pretty situational. That being said, if you do run him, the once per Duel clause obviously means you should run 1.
  84.
  85. Run 0-1.
  86.
  87. [quote]Bacon Saver
  88. Level 2
  89. Zombie-Type
  90. DARK
  91. 700 ATK
  92. 600 DEF
  93. During either player's Battle Step, while an attack is occurring: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; negate the attack. You can only use the effect of "Bacon Saver" once per Duel.[/quote]
  94. Sound familiar? This guy is almost identical to [YGOCARD]Necro Gardna[/YGOCARD]. The main differences are not being able to chain him at any time before an attack and the once per Duel clause. Nice if you feel you need the extra defense.
  95.
  96. Run 0-1.
  97.
  98. [quote]Lightray Diabolos
  99. Level 7
  100. Dragon-Type
  101. LIGHT
  102. 2800 ATK
  103. 2200 DEF
  104. Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by having 5 or more LIGHT monsters with different names in your Graveyard. Once per turn: You can banish 1 LIGHT monster from your Graveyard to target 1 Set card your opponent controls; reveal that target, then [YGOCARD]Return[/YGOCARD] that target to either the top or bottom of the Deck.[/quote]
  105. If you are looking for an extra big boss, Diabolos is a good choice though. His summoning condition is somewhat hefty though, and Michael is overall a much better choice.
  106.
  107. Run 0-3 pre-DSLJ, run 0 post-DSLJ.
  108.
  109. [quote]Lightray Daedalus
  110. Level 7
  111. Sea Serpent-Type
  112. LIGHT
  113. 2600 ATK
  114. 2500 DEF
  115. Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by having 4 or more LIGHT monsters in your Graveyard, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn: You can target 1 Field Spell Card and 2 other cards on the field; destroy them.[/quote]
  116. You won't use the effect often, but Daedalus is an incredibly easy to summon 2600 beater, which is really what makes it worth considering. In a meta dominated by Field Spells, his effect becomes even stronger. But again, Michael generally does things better.
  117.
  118. Run 0-2.
  119.
  120. [quote]Glow-Up Bulb
  121. Level 1
  122. Plant-Type/Tuner
  123. EARTH
  124. 100 ATK
  125. 100 DEF
  126. You can send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard and Special Summon this card. Each player can activate the effect of "Glow-Up Bulb" once per Duel.[/quote]
  127. A practically free Level 1 Tuner that's not only easy to set up, but also nets us a free mill. Why would we not run this guy?
  128.
  129. Well... you should probably take a look at the banlist.
