  1. Damian_Alpha: Players ante in to the game for 5 gold/chips/rupees, and get the same number of D10's. The house then sets aside five dice, plus another one for each additional player. Alternately this can be played with a deck of cards with all face cards and jokers removed, shuffling and dealing each "round
  2. Pilz: alright
  3. Damian_Alpha: Each round players roll their dice, and then can submit any die that shows a value higher than their dice pool as their "attack". This means that with the starting five dice, they must roll at least a 6 or higher for the die to be a valid "attack.
  4. Damian_Alpha: Players can CHOOSE not to submit die, but if they do not roll at least one valid attack they automatically lose the round and must give one die to the house.
  5. Damian_Alpha: After all "attacks" have been submitted, the house rolls their dice pool for the Monster. If any of the die rolled by the house has the same value as a submitted attack, then all attacks of that value are "blocked". If all attacks submitted by a player are blocked, that player has lost the round and must give one die to the house. If at least one attack gets through, the player does not have to yield any die. If ALL attacks submitted by a player get through, then that player wounds the monster and takes one die from the house.
  6. Damian_Alpha: The game typically ends after 10 rounds, or when the monster is slain, or when the players have lost all die. At that point each die is worth 1 gold/chip/zeni. In some high-stakes games the game does not have a time limit, and in some underworld games players have been known to wager fingers or toes as ante. There are also some houses that will allow "Potions", where the players can buy-back dice up to their starting 5 (but at double the ante) for the chance at a really juicy pot.
  7. Damian_Alpha: Any questions?
  8. Pilz: don't think so
