Models in a unit joined by a model in Cataphractii Terminator Armour do not have the Slow and Purposeful rule conferred on them, contrary to the usual application of the rule, but must remain in coherency with the joined character while they stay with the unit (which may limit their distance moved overall, consolidation moves, etc.)
- ····Nightfall Pattern Strato-vox: Description:If one of the controlling player's units wishes to arrive via Deep Strike within 18" of Captain Alvarez, it will not scatter. Additionally, models with Legiones Astartes (Raven Guard) who deploy from Deep striking vehicles in this way gain the Counter Attack special rule the turn they arrive. Barrage weapons may draw line of sight from Captain Alvarez. Must be on the table at the start of the turn for this rule to apply (ie not arrive that turn).
- ····Rad Grenades: Description:During a turn in which a unit equipped with Rad Grenades assaults or is assaulted, the enemy unit(s) suffer a -1 penalty to the Toughness until the end of the Assault Phase. This does affect the victim's Instant Death thresholds.
- ····Shroud Bombs: Description:Act as defensive grenades in an assault. In addition, any unit that is not a vehicle, Daemon, Gargantuan creature, or has the Night Vision special rule must pass a Leadership test in order to assault a unit with Shroud Bombs.

- Area Denial: Any successful Morale or Pinning checks caused by a Deathstorm Drop Pod on the turn it deploys must be re-rolled.
- Assault Vehicle
- Automated Weapons: When a Deathstorm Drop Pod lands, it opens fire indiscriminately in its first Shooting phase. Each unit (enemy or friendly) within 12" of the model’s weapon mounts comes under attack. Each target unit with one or more models in range suffers D3 full shooting attacks using the profile listed for the Deathstorm’s armament instead of the Deathstorm Drop Pod’s normal attack this turn, resolved at BS 2. In subsequent turns, the Deathstorm may continue to fire normally.
- Battlesmith: If a Battlesmith is embarked on or in base contact with one or more damaged vehicles during the shooting phase, they may attempt to repair one of them instead of firing a weapon. To attempt, roll a D6. On a result of 5+ the Battlesmith may do one of the following:
- - Restore a lost Hull Point
- - Repair a Weapon Destroyed result
- - Repair an Immobilised result
- If a Weapon Destroyed result is repaired, that weapon may be fired in the following shooting phase. The Battlesmith cannot use this ability if he has gone to ground or is falling back.

- Fatal Strike: One per game, unit may execute a Fatal Strike against a chosen target. Declared at the start of the shooting phase, the unit's shooting attacks gain Twin-linked and Rending. With Sniper Rifles, rending increases to a 5+ instead of 6.

- The Bleeding Edge: If Captain Alvarex is to enter play embarked upon a vehicle that enters via Deep strike, no reserve roll is made for this vehicle. Instead it must arrive the first turn the controlling player rolls for reservs. If deployed at the beginning of the game, the controlling player may instead re-roll the sieze the initiative roll.
