- <ryaxnb>weird thing
- <ryaxnb> i was watching a documentary on netflix
- <ryaxnb> it cuts to the credits and suddenly my viewer window is very small
- <ryaxnb> and netflix has added suggestions to watch next
- <ryaxnb> hey, you want to talk over the credits, blur them, fast forward through them, angleskew them, and frame them too
- <ryaxnb> then you'll really be the NBC of online video
- <ryaxnb> :/
- <ryaxnb> you can click to make the full screen again but that is just so damn stupid
- <ryaxnb> one reason i like online video services is they mutilate the picture less than tv does
- <ryaxnb> don't screw that up, netflix.
- <ryaxnb> actually, with the popularity of the hub on netflix
- <ryaxnb> er, ponies
- <ryaxnb> they should just have the hub VAs do voiceovers on the credits
- <ryaxnb> "hi! pinkie pie here! these boring words sure are boring! bet you wanna watch some pony instead! click here!"
- <ryaxnb> then it would be more like network television.
- <ryaxnb> also, put a netflix logo on the lower right of the screen. Insist viewers are getting confused, then slowly increase the size and decrease the transparency of hte logo, like HBO did. than make it a ticker.
- <ryaxnb> :/ i tell you channels have the worst goddamn aesthetic designs.
- <ryaxnb> while i'm being the amazing epic rant person, lemme rant about "channel". every video service likes to say "channel". Youtube has channels. (even though a PLaylist on YT is more like a Channel). Blip has channels. Roku has channels (1000+?). Wii has channels.
- <ryaxnb> But channels are terrible! They are the worst thing ever, and all the online services have no idea what it means and use it terribly, probably because channels themselves use it terribly and have terrible aesthetic design and thematic unification!
