  1. There is always a beginning, and an end.
  2.
  3. Chapter : 1 (Mystery)
  4.
  5. Journal Entry #1 (1/3/2017):
  6. Hey! :D
  7.
  8. Chronos thought it would be a good idea for me to keep a journal as a sort of notebook to keep
  9. track of the letters and messages I've sent throughout the whole area of Olympus. He also said something about this
  10. being the only way of re-telling ourselves what has happened throughout the milleniums or something like that. :/
  11.
  12. I'm not really sure what he meant by that and when I asked he just kept quiet and asked me to do it anyway. :/
  13. Either way it's kind of useful for me to keep track what has happened between yesterday or maybe 2 days ago (Well I just started this today but what the hell :P).
  14.
  15. Anyway, it was actually quite a tiring day of being a messenger (I would say mailman but that doesn't sound cool enough xD)
  16. as I had to send quite a lot of mail to each of the different pantheons. It was also stupid that sometimes they put the Recipient's label
  17. as the title of the god like 'God of the Sun'. But yeah, like which freaking 'God of the Sun?' Ra? Helios? Tiv? -_- Like jeez, just put the dang name,
  18. it's much shorter anyway. I had like 20 different mix-ups due to that problem. Should make an announcement to put the name of the certain deity instead
  19. of putting the title. Not much harm done though, except for maybe the Chinese Heaven areas, getting up there even having the speed of light a pain in the butt.
  20.
  21. I should probably put how much packages or letters I had to send everyday at the end of the entry or something, I think that would be a nice touch.
  22. Well I think that's about it! It's fun being a messenger of the gods! :DDDD
  23.
  24. Letters Sent : 314
  25. Packages Sent : 21

  28.
  29. Journal Entry #4 (4/3/2017):
  30.
  31. Mercury, I've been looking through your entries and I want to remind you to state if you have seen any strange happenings throughout the pantheons, especially the Greek/Roman ones.
  32. I sincerely hope that you are not going to keep this journal just lying around in your drawer where any one of the gods might accidentally go through even though I've strictly stated to keep this safely
  33. beyond anyone's reach except for you and me. Make sure that I don't find it the next time. By the way, I asked you to make the Journal to record current events, not your messenger duties and smutty comments directed towards gods
  34. (like referring to Freya as a slutty prostitute).
  35.
  36. I fear that something terrible is about to happen that may change the very fate of the so-called 'immortals' or 'gods'. Also, once you've read this after your 'pizza night' with Aphrodite
  37. in about an hour's time you will receive a pendant for you to keep that I have made. Just keep it close to you at all times. And I mean, AT ALL TIMES *bolded*. Recently, my ability to read into the future and past has been excessively
  38. weakened by whatever reason, and I'm going to find out why. Just please, keep the pendant with you, and make sure it isn't stolen by anyone (particularly Loki).
  39.
  40. I understand that they may be difficult to handle, but bear with it for now. Things might change, sooner than we think. I have sense of foreboding in the current time.
  41. I will be gone for a moment in the pantheon and this will be the only way I will contact you from now on, don't ask how or why, if any of the gods ask for me just say that I went to Earth to get more information about the mortals.
  42. Also, make sure that you have the pendant with you when telling them this. Especially to any psychological gods.
  43. I'll remind you again to keep the pendant with you as I'm not sure whether you've kept it properly in the future. Keep the pendant close.
  44.
  45. Yours truly,
  46.
  47. Chronos
  48. The Keeper of Time
  49.
  50. Journal Entry #5 (4/3/2017):
  51.
  52. Dude, what the hell? I haven't see you in ages (well not really but you know what I mean). I don't know what the heck is going on with you but can you just tell me? Seriously, like being kept in the dark (hehe) isn't helping, you know.
  53. And there hasn't been anything 'strange' at all. Well, except for you, Chronos. Ugh, I don't know whether other people've seen this journal now. If you can find it others can too. Oh man. I really hope Zeus didn't see what I said about him.
  54. I'll keep it in a safer spot I guess, maybe at Hyperborea, I don't think Homer would mind about it. I got the pendant you were talking about and I'm taking it around with me, are you going to keep me in the dark (hehe) about the pendant as well?
  55. Can I know at least something from you? What's happening?
  56.
  57. Actually, Janus has been acting weird as well after he found out that you were gone. He knows that you've been only talking to me lately and when I told him that you went to Earth to study more about the mortals he just gave me this 'I don't believe you'
  58. look and just walked away.
  59.
  60. Have you and Janus been fighting? Is that why you're avoiding us? You know that's not the way, if you have beef with a god you settle it face-to-face! You don't chicken out!
  61. Please come back, gods are actually getting worried about you (surprisingly).
  62.
  63. I guess I'll just put any strange occurrences then. :( I thought it would've been nice to add what's been happening with me. ;-;
  64.
  65. -Hermes (Mercury)
  66.
  67. Journal Entry #6 (8/3/2017):
  68.
  69. Chronos, I have something big. Nothing much has been happening until now. Zeus called for a 'Almighty Meeting' among the most powerful of the gods from each pantheon today.
  70. I asked Loki to listen in on what was happening and I was surprised to see that he didn't get caught. Odin had mentioned that the bridge to Valhalla (Bifrost or something) had
  71. recently been unstable as of late. He says that it might be due to changes in the dimensional rifts which means it's either you or Janus' fault. Chronos, you're not doing anything....
  72. are you? Janus has a supposedly solid alibi and even Zeus has agreed that this the blame is to be given to you. Chronos please reply back soon. I'm really worried about you and I can't
  73. keep any more secrets, they've started to question me about your whereabouts, they've also send certain deities to find you at Earth. Please.
  74.
  75. -Hermes (Mercury)
  76.
  77. Journal Entry #7 (9/3/2017):
  78.
  79. I can't do this anymore. They've started to ransack my home. I barely managed to sneak out of my house to get to Hyperborea to write in this. Chronos, stop this. Nu Wa has also specified
  80. that the Chinese Heavens have been tampered with as well. They have some sort of bounty up against you now. I don' Get out.
  81.
  82. What the hell? Ch
  83.
  84. Get out. Of Olympus. Now.
  85.
  86. What the hec
  87.
  88. It's Chronos, I don't have time to explain. GET OUT OF OLYMPUS, NOW.
  89.
  90. Are you insane? Where am I supposed to go?
  91.
  92. Earth.
  93.
  94. What?
  95.
  96. Hurry. I've opened up a time rift for you. Get inside it and I will explain everything.
  97.
  98. B
  99.
  100. GO!
  101.
  102. Chronos! How are you doing this? Where are you?
  103.
  104. Chronos?
  105.
  106. .....
  107.
  108. ----------------------------------------------
  109.
  110. I stopped writing into the journal and face up. I see a portal in-front of me and jump back in surprise. I hesitated going inside. Leave Olympus....? But why?
  111.
  112.
  113. There was a sudden explosion heard in the distance. I became wide-eyed and looked around. There wasn't any smoke or fire in the vicinity. Unless....
  114.
  115. I look up to see that half of Olympus had been blown up. A striking black colour was seen together in contrast with the pure colour of white in Olympus.
  116. "Oh my god." I said with my eyes and mouth wide open. I heard more writing from my journal. I fumbled around it and quickly turned to the which I was writing on.
  117.
  118. The words 'No Escape' and 'Hurry' were written in a blood-red colour. I dropped it in astonishment and started to hyperventilate.
  119.
  120. The portal was slowly diminishing. I quickly took my journal from the ground and ran into the portal.
  121.
  122. A flash of white appeared all around me as I felt rushed through many different dimensions.
  123.
  124. Then all of a sudden, darkness overcame around me and I stopped in motion.
  125.
  126. I slowly started to lose consciousness as my eyes.... closed.
  127.
  128. ----------------------------------------------
  129.
  130. Chapter 2 : (Adaptation)
  131.
  132. "Ugh..."
  133.
  134. I groaned over the massive headache I had currently. I opened my eyes to see that I was in some sort of a forest. Slowly, the recent events crawled into my memories.
  135.
  136. "!"
  137.
  138. I stood up immediately and looked around me. The sun was setting and colored the sky with a light red and orange tint. I scratched my head in daze and confusion.
  139. I bent down and shifted the grass around to find the journal I brought with me. I managed to blindly grab the journal and I quickly flipped around the pages to see if
  140. Chronos had wrote anything. But, the journal was completely blank. Anything that me or Chronos wrote was gone, though faint markings could be seen on it, implying that
  141. the ink had faded away. I then remembered that Chronos had mentioned that he would he gave me a special pen to use specifically for the journal.
  142.
  143. "I guess it's to erase the data from mortal eyes...? But then why would he say that I was supposed to record it even if all the data would've been lost?"
  144.
  145. I ask myself inquisitively. I realise that saying this outloud was not going to answer the question either way.
  146.
  147. "Actually it will." A voice was heard.
  148.
  149. I turned to the location of the voice to see a shadowy figure of a male mortal behind some trees. I stepped back quickly and cautiously and adopted a clumsy fighting stance.
  150.
  151. "Who goes there? You do not want to mess with me." I said as I tried to appear prideful.
  152.
  153. "Relax, it's just me...." The figure walked closer into the open. The sunlight shined on his face, plastered with a grin. ".... Chronos."
  154.
  155. I placed my hands beside me and sighed in relief.
  156.
  157. "Jeez, Chronos." I said. "Where the heck you've been? And why are you so..."
  158.
  159. "Young?" He said, finishing my sentence. "I determined the best cover we could use is to disguise as teenage students."
  160.
  161. "Uh, right." I scratched my head and a particular word appeared danced around in my head.
  162.
  163. "Wait, 'we'...? Oh gods, no." I placed my hands on my face feeling around them and then look at my arms. Chronos looked confused as to what I was doing.
  164.
  165. "NOOOOOOO!" I exclaimed in horror. He visibly flinched at the sudden increase in volume.
  166.
  167. "Oh my." Chronos said as he unslung his backpack and placed it on the ground.
  168.
  169. "Look, we have no time for complaints follow me."
  170.
  171. He took out a piece of paper that seemed to be a map and walked ahead of me.
  172.
  173. "H-hey! Wait up!" I quickened my pace to catch up with him.
  174.
  175. ---------
  176.
  177. After a few minutes of walking supposedly aimlessly and very silently I decided to create a conversation with him.
  178.
  179. "Sooo..... Now do you wanna tell me what's going on?" I asked very casually.
  180.
  181. "No." He answered shortly.
  182.
  183. "What do you mean 'No'? You said you would explain to me when I went through the portal!"
  184.
  185. "I prefer to explain this when I know that we are in a safe location... But I supposed I've kept you in the dark long enough."
  186.
  187. "So yo-"
  188.
  189. "Quiet, I'll explain it very briefly."
  190.
  191. Chronos sighs and stays silent for a few moments. After a while, he speaks again.
  192.
  193. "It first started when my timeology pow-"
  194.
  195. "Timeology means looking at the future and the past right?" I interrupted and asked him unconsciously.
  196.
  197. "... Yes. My powers in looking at the future and the past." He answered back. I smiled proudly in light of my extensive knowledge of the English vocabulary. I then realised that Chronos was impatiently looking at me.
  198.
  199. "Uh, right, go on."
  200.
  201. "My powers had started to diminish without any reason. The only way that my power could diminish is that if Janus had created a shift in the inter-dimensional rift. And most of the time, he would explicitly tell me that
  202. he would have done that. But this time, he didn't. I assumed that he did this due to utmost importance so I started to think less of it and assumed that Janus would have spoken to me about it later. However, he didn't. A few days later,
  203. I tried to look for him but to no avail, my powers had excessively diminished to the point where I only could have seen only a few hours ahead in the future and nothing in the past...
  204. It started to worry me and I became suspicious of him. So I retreated back to The Library of Aristotle to study about what was currently happening. As planned, nobody was able to find me, though I was surprised that the major deities had decided to send gods to find me.
  205. That's when I realised that history was about to repeat itself."
  206.
  207. "History was about to repeat itself...? What do you mean?"
  208.
  209. "You don't know? Have you even been reading the books I suggested to you?"
  210.
  211. "Uh... maybe?"
  212.
  213. He sighs.
  214.
  215. "Ugh. Janus had once tried to overthrow Zeus for the throne of the gods. He enlisted the help of Poseidon, Hades, and even Zeus' own wife, Hera, so that he can rise into power. He had somehow convinced various types of gods that he was the only true and fair leader of the gods.
  216. Until now, I still have no idea how he was able of this fear. Hades and Poseidon both had a strong will and mind, he must have taken advantage of the slight sibling rivalry over the throne of the heavens after Zeus had slain the Titan Cronos, saving the both of them. Though, I don't recall
  217. any serious or even petty rivalry between them. Both, Hades and Poseidon were satisfied with what they had and they lived peacefully. Hera though, I can understand. Zeus' infidelity must have fueled the flame in Hera's heart.
