Writer Update:

KEEPING TIMELINE STRAIGHT:

Current (Act 2) stories should take place between summer of last year and "No Joke".

All current stories should take place *before* Alpha-9 is fully trained and assembled for the first time (which happens after No Joke).

For convenience's sake, we assume the "present" of the canon is right now (the date you're reading this) and "No Joke" takes place a little before "the present". This is also to allow a semi-realistic time frame for Alpha-9 to be trained.

That means all "current" stories technically take place in the past. Other than that, go nuts.

CYOA:

The CYOA is presently canceled (due to not having sufficient stakes or tension, and also being too difficult and not really having any alternate paths).

People whose characters are involved can choose what to use the snippets for. By default, we will try to work them as flashbacks into the "Escape From Site-##" story. (See below.)

ALPHA-9 ASSEMBLING FOR THE FIRST TIME is a story itself, currently called "Escape From Site-##".

Everyone is going to be able to work on this, Incident 239-B style. We don't have a current deadline for when this needs to be completed, but we're gonna start working on it at least by the end of the month of April. (I'll provide a very rough outline.)

STRUCTURE:

* Story in three (big) parts.
* Follows tradition 3-act structure: Act 1 is 'get the characters up a tree', Act 2 is 'throw rocks at them', Act 3 is 'get them down again'.
* Ex-CYOA character snippets are incorporated as little flashbacks where relevant.
* Individual members can be cut off or put in a group, depending on who wants to write what. (For example, I have specific plans for Iris, which currently goes along with LordDeath/Foxx in the second act only.) Again, Incident 239-B style. If we want some stuff to be from a post-incident report, that works too.

WHAT HAPPENS:
* Alpha-9 is brought to Site-?? for evaluation, first time they're all on one spot.
* Site-?? can be a Sector of an established Site (17, 19, whatever). Or it can be a single site. Give me your opinion on this.
* The Chaos Insurgency attacks, to try to capture the team. Alpha-9 (& other characters at the location) is trapped within the Site (or Sector of a larger Site), and must evade the Insurgency / fight them off / escape. Hence "Escape From Site-##".
* Shenanigans and explosions.

ALL CURRENTLY POSTED STORIES HAVE TO TAKE PLACE BEFORE THIS STORY. So before Alpha-9 is all in one place for the first time.
