[1:46:01 AM] Ben Quick: ok so
[1:46:45 AM] Ben Quick: at about 3pm today
[1:47:09 AM] Ben Quick: i get called up to the front, our head cashier's like "that woman on register 3 is REALLY intoxicated and I'm worried she's about to get in a car and drive home"
[1:47:48 AM] Ben Quick: at that time my boss, Meredith, comes over too
[1:49:12 AM] Ben Quick: this woman is like in her 50s, small, dressed fairly nicely etc
[1:49:27 AM] Ben Quick: she finishes paying and says to the bagger "thank you, you're like God" and gives him a kiss on the cheek
[1:49:33 AM] Ben Quick: and stumbles over past us
[1:49:56 AM] Ben Quick: and Meredith is like "hey, I see you're having some difficulties walking.. do you need us to call someone to take you home or call you a cab?"
[1:50:35 AM] Ben Quick: and she says, slurring heavily "no no i'm ok"
[1:50:44 AM] Ben Quick: barely able to stand let alone walk ok
[1:50:48 AM] Ben Quick: this woman is REALLY fucked up
[1:51:29 AM] Ben Quick: so
[1:51:35 AM] Ben Quick: she continues towards the front doors
[1:51:57 AM] Ben Quick: and Meredith says "ok ma'am, are you sure? If you get into the car I'll have to call the police"
[1:52:12 AM] Ben Quick: "for what? There's nothing wrong you're making a mistake"
[1:52:22 AM] Ben Quick: and she kinda jogs out the door and we quickly follow
[1:52:31 AM] Ben Quick: we dont want her to end up killing herself or others driving y'know
[1:52:37 AM] Ben Quick: meredith calls the police
[1:52:45 AM] Ben Quick: this woman's wandering around the parking lot
[1:52:46 AM] Ben Quick: stumbling about
[1:52:48 AM] Ben Quick: can't even find her car
[1:52:54 AM] Ben Quick: tries to get into someone ELSE'S car
[1:53:34 AM] Ben Quick: she comes up to me and is like
[1:53:48 AM] Ben Quick: "i donated $50,000 to a non-profit! you'll regret messing with me!"
[1:53:53 AM] Ben Quick: though it takes her awhile to get her words out
[1:54:26 AM] Ben Quick: she stumbles away and i stay about 5 feet behind her while meredith is on the phone with the police still
[1:54:37 AM] Ben Quick: mostly so she doesn't wander into traffic
[1:54:50 AM] Ben Quick: and she turns around, yells "DONT FOLLOW ME!" and charges at me and shoves me
[1:54:58 AM] Ben Quick: so now we got assault
[1:55:33 AM] Ben Quick: i stumbled back a step or two but
[1:55:35 AM] Ben Quick: it didnt hurt
[1:55:55 AM] Ben Quick: i'm 6' tall weight like 250lbs (sorry for the Freedom units) and she's like 5'4 and skinny
[1:57:17 AM] Ben Quick: anyways she kinda takes off
[1:57:37 AM] Ben Quick: especially since another customer saw her and was like "OH YOU'RE UNDER ARREST FOR THAT, THAT'S ASSAULT AND I'M A WITNESS!"
[1:57:47 AM] Ben Quick: she kinda drew a lot of attention at this point
[1:57:56 AM] Ben Quick: because we'd been out there for like 10-15 minutes by that point
[1:58:06 AM] Ben Quick: so now she's stumble-jogging towars the road
[1:58:15 AM] Ben Quick: and we're worried cuz of traffic
[1:58:22 AM] Ben Quick: we're following from a distance, mostly to keep an eye on her
[1:58:35 AM] Ben Quick: she gets to the road, stumbles along the edge to the road that goes behind the shopping center
[1:58:40 AM] Ben Quick: gets to a tree
[1:58:46 AM] Ben Quick: drops her pants and takes a piss
[1:59:25 AM] Ben Quick: then starts heading back down the road which is the access road for a major highway so again, getting worried
[1:59:37 AM] Ben Quick: cop finally shows up, took 'em like 25 minutes
[2:00:03 AM] Ben Quick: she kinda charges at the cop car when he arrives too
[2:00:09 AM] Ben Quick: we're like 20 feet away from them at this point
[2:00:18 AM] Ben Quick: now just waiting for him to finish with her and come talk to us
[2:00:58 AM] Ben Quick: cop finds a crack pipe in her pocket
[2:01:16 AM] Ben Quick: handcuffs her, puts her in the back of the car
[2:01:21 AM] Ben Quick: and they talk for a good ten+ minutes
[2:01:24 AM] Ben Quick: and when he tries to shut the door
[2:01:38 AM] Ben Quick: she sticks her leg out and pushes the door open
[2:01:52 AM] Ben Quick: so he has to get a 2nd cop in to grab her from the other side and drag her in while he shuts the door
[2:03:59 AM] Ben Quick: they find her car and search it too
[2:04:08 AM] Ben Quick: dunno what they find though cuz we had our own reports to fill out at that point
[2:04:11 AM] Ben Quick: and actual WORK to do
[2:04:16 AM] Ben Quick: word spread fast
[2:04:24 AM] Ben Quick: i had been back in the store for 10 minutes before someone was like
[2:04:29 AM] Ben Quick: "i heard you got into a fight with a crackhead"
[2:04:30 AM] Ben Quick: lol
[2:06:38 AM] Ben Quick: so yeah
[2:06:42 AM] Ben Quick: that was my crazy day
