NERV Second Base : Episode 06

08[14:10] <00@Siege> A few days have passed since the incident with Asmodel. Gendo has already headed off to Japan once more, leaving an endless string of questions in his wake since the pilots had given the copy of the Dead Sea Scrolls to Remington. Beyond the hustle and bustle accompanying the repairs needed on the base, NERV-04 is relatively quiet...unlike San Francisco.
06[14:11] * Bryant_Wallace is finshing up a letter to his brother
08[14:12] <00@Siege> The pilot's apartment is a sparse affair, but nice considering the price. A small pseudo-loft with an attached upper den, it's a tiny place with a public living room, the nook up above, and four bedrooms (one is empty/storage) on the far wall both upstairs and downstairs. Furnished in a cookie-cutter safe style that looks like NERV just bought the entire unit from a store display, this unremarkable place would be devoid of any sort of description if it were not for the fun fact that increased budget has allowed NERV to finally placate Asa's incessant bitching and equip the place with a twice-a-week-maid. It looks...somewhat cleaner now, and as Bryant scribbles away in his room, the clock ticks away as it gets closer to leaving for school.
06[14:15] * Bryant_Wallace prety much writes about his life, the strange turn of events, finally mastering his eva, punching the shit out of things, and how badass his teamates are (not that he would actually tell them of course)
06[14:15] * Asa_Kennedy opens the door to a delivery man. "You were 10 minutes late. No tip. Off you go." He roughly takes the bag and slams the door shut.
06[14:16] * Sam_Shepherd is sitting on the couch, very intently reading a thick-looking book.
08[14:16] <00@Siege> Although none would see it, the dejected delivery man is about to knock and give asa a piece of his mind before a sunglass clad head peeks around the corner and gives a slow headshake "no."
06[14:17] * Asa_Kennedy takes the bags to the kitchen table and opens up multiple containers which hold a feast of sorts. Fresh eggs, bacon, pancakes, and grade A maple syrup. His eyes glisten as he serves himself a plate.
06[14:17] * Asa_Kennedy shouts "Hey Bryant, would you like some breakfast? I should not finish all this for my physiques sake."
06[14:19] * Bryant_Wallace from the other room "Yeah sure I'm just finshed in here"
06[14:19] * Asa_Kennedy opens up a container which holds freshly made cappucino. He smells it and scrunches his nose. "This is NOT from COLUMBIA!"
06[14:19] * Bryant_Wallace walks out and serves up"
[14:22] <Bryant_Wallace> "My gods... where did you roder this from" *looks like a he just tasted god*
06[14:22] * Asa_Kennedy shrugs. "Father orders it for me. He's concerned about my dietary health. NERV simply is not up to par. I ate better in hospitals. That's saying something.
06[14:23] * Sam_Shepherd is oblivious to all of this... until Asa opens the bags and he sniffs the air, looking up abruptly and putting down his book. Another sniff and he stands and heads into the kitchen. "...Wow. Smells good."
[14:23] <Bryant_Wallace> "Beats the hell out of what I used to eat in the camps"
[14:27] <Asa_Kennedy> "Not surprising.
06[14:27] * Bryant_Wallace shakes his head and keeps eating wondering where Sam is
06[14:27] * Sam_Shepherd already has a plate and is munching on some eggs and sausage, apparently. "Delicious!"
06[14:28] * Bryant_Wallace is like "What the fuck!"
[14:28] <Bryant_Wallace> "Dude how long have your been there?
[14:30] <Sam_Shepherd> "Hm? Just a moment ago." He reaches down and puts a few more sausages on his plate.
08[14:31] <00@Siege> "Not too long for me either."
06[14:31] * Asa_Kennedy sighs. "Um don
08[14:31] <00@Siege> Against the doorframe, Mr. Green is leaning.
06[14:31] * Bryant_Wallace looks at Mr green "Sup"
[14:31] <Asa_Kennedy> "Don't you eat those little....pills or something?"
08[14:32] <00@Siege> Apparently as he has been for a good long time. "Waiting for you three to be finished with your little tea party so I can bringy you to school. Despite being paramilitary, you've still got to keep up appearances. or so it goes."
06[14:33] * Asa_Kennedy holds out a sausage on a fork to Mr Green. "Come have a bite. I'm sure you're minimum wage right? When was the last time you had gourmet breakfast?"
06[14:34] * Bryant_Wallace finshes breakfast, tosses his letter in the outgoing mail and goes to get changed
06[14:34] * Sam_Shepherd nods, setting down his plate. "'Kay. Thanks for the food Asa." He turns abruptly and goes to change as well.
08[14:35] <00@Siege> Mr. Green's usual face turns to a half-scowl and a raised eyebrow. "...You're joking."
06[14:35] * Asa_Kennedy was already dressed and ready to go. He sits there sipping his inferior cappuccino while staring at Mr. Green. "Well?".
08[14:37] <00@Siege> Slowly and awkwardly. Mr. Green takes a few steps over to grab a fork and a sausage link, chewing slowly and only remarking to Asa: "I'm hungry, not poor."
06[14:38] * Asa_Kennedy gives a sympathetic smile. "Of course you are"
08[14:39] <00@Siege> With a big smile, Mr. Green replies: "Of course I am. Now get in the fucking car downstairs."
06[14:40] * Bryant_Wallace steps out putting on his dogtags and slips them under his shirt
06[14:41] * Asa_Kennedy sips the last of his cappuccino and simply leaves everything out. He grabs his bag and heads to the car.
06[14:42] * Bryant_Wallace is feeling kinda scruffy, he hasan't had a haircut lately... his hair is starting to look kinda like a mullet
[14:43] <Asa_Kennedy> "Say Bryant...I know a good stylist that makes home visits..."
[14:43] <Bryant_Wallace> "Nah, I figured since well... I might let it grow out a bit
08[14:45] <00@Siege> Hopping into the car, the three pilots find Mr. Blue sitting at the steering wheel, flipping through articles on his smart phone while Mr. Green follows through into the passengers seat. As they start rolling, the scenery of San Francisco passes by...
06[14:46] * Asa_Kennedy covers his face out of embarrassment and mutters "Great...I'm stuck with a guy that looks like a redneck and a guy that looks like a girl..."
06[14:51] * Sam_Shepherd has brought his book along again and is buried in it.
06[14:53] * Bryant_Wallace is staring off into space as if thinking
08[14:53] <00@Siege> A few places along the way are marked by small detours due to construction, but overall the ride is unremarkable and the pilots find themselves arriving on campus.

08[14:54] <00@Siege> The titanic geometrical shapes of the San Francisco High School rise up around you, their smoothed concrete walls diffusing the now-temperate weather of San Francisco bay to a soft blue-grey. Around, students seem to wander to-and-fro with the big talk being what was it that had exactly happened last week that caused so many tremors...?
06[14:54] * Bryant_Wallace keeps quiet, they are not ready to know the truth
08[14:56] <00@Siege> A few brief goodbyes from Mr. Green and the three pilots are ferried out of the car and onto campus.
08[14:56] <00@Siege> They seem to be getting more than just a few sideways glances as well.
06[14:56] * Asa_Kennedy carries his Bible very prominently. Obviously trying to put it in the eyes of those curious stares.
06[14:57] * Bryant_Wallace walks with his hands in his pockets as tall as he can
06[14:58] * Sam_Shepherd is used to this sort of thing, and seems completely unfazed. "Well, come on, let's get to class."
[14:59] <Bryant_Wallace> "Yeah sure lets get going"
08[15:01] <00@Siege> The early morning finds the three pilots being given a bit of a wide berth, and before long they find themselves close to the door for their first period class. outside is a familiar face to Sam and party: Frank.
08[15:02] <00@Siege> It's hard to tell if he had been waiting for the three of them, but upon spotting them he walks briskly over.
06[15:02] * Asa_Kennedy walks right past him and into the classroom.
06[15:02] * Bryant_Wallace polietley waives and stops "Hey Frank"
06[15:02] * Sam_Shepherd stops as well, glancing at Asa for a moment. "Hi Frank, what's up?"
08[15:07] <00@Siege> Watching Asa walk by, Frank turns as if to say something and instead looks back at the other two, speaking in a whisper and feverishly quick: "What the fuck happened two days ago? Those tremors that happened: was that you guys?"
06[15:07] * Bryant_Wallace looks at Sam
06[15:09] * Sam_Shepherd nods. "Yea. We killed an angel. Not supposed to talk about it much though."
06[15:09] * Bryant_Wallace whispers "What he said"
08[15:10] <00@Siege> In a stage-whisper, Frank exclaims: "I knew it. I knew it!"
08[15:10] <00@Siege> "Good shit to see the three of you all walking back here. Yes!"
[15:11] <Bryant_Wallace> "Yeah it was pretty brutal"
[15:12] <Sam_Shepherd> "Uh-huh. Seven's good at brutality." Sam grins somewhat unplesantly.
08[15:12] <00@Siege> "Everybody around here has been going nuts over that stuff. People are saying stuff like it was a meteor and an even bigger one is coming, or it was a weird weather control device or something. I knew it was you guys. Hah!"
06[15:12] * Bryant_Wallace whispers "where he hell do people come up with random ass idea's like that?"
08[15:12] <00@Siege> "Hey man, brutality wins. Man I've got to ask Jake for the pictures he's got, get you tw--three to sign them."
08[15:13] <00@Siege> "Panicked people are stupid people. Sort of."
[15:14] <Sam_Shepherd> "Its okay, that's why NERV keeps things under control."
[15:17] <Bryant_Wallace> "Yeah, keep it on the down low though"
08[15:17] <00@Siege> "Right, right. Well, I've got english in like..." A bell cuts Frank's speech short. "I guess now. I'll see you guys around. Try to uh, pry the stick from that guys ass."
08[15:18] <00@Siege> Frank points to Asa quick, before looking back at Sam and Bryant: "I will. This stuff has gotten so bad people might even believe me!"
06[15:18] * Sam_Shepherd nods, though from the look on his face he doesn't quite get the idiom. "Um... Okay. Late!"
06[15:18] * Bryant_Wallace laughs "Sorry but the man who can pull the stick from Asa's ass will be crowned the new king of England" *heads off
06[15:19] * Sam_Shepherd looks very confused as he follows Bryant. "...Why?"
06[15:20] * Bryant_Wallace looks at him "What you never heard of king arthur? The Sword in the Stone?"
[15:22] <Sam_Shepherd> "Yea, but what does that have to do with Asa's butt?"
06[15:23] * Bryant_Wallace shakes his head "I'll explain later"
[15:24] <Sam_Shepherd> "...Okay." Sam shrugs.
06[15:24] * Bryant_Wallace gets to class
06[15:25] * Asa_Kennedy is sitting in his usual spot quietly reading some passages from the Bible.
08[15:27] <00@Siege> Inside the classroom, class goes about as normal, with maybe a little more note-passing and texting than usual. Most of the students seem decidedly restless, but before any of the pilots ask them the bell rings and it's onto the next one. By third period, the first chance to talk comes with Dr. Cabrera's chemistry lab.
06[15:27] * Bryant_Wallace sits down and gets class related stuff out, sits there fidgiting with his tags
[15:29] <Bryant_Wallace> "Everyone seems tense today"
08[15:30] <00@Siege> The three pilots group together towards one end of a workstation, with two other groups with them. The closer of the two groups is several girls who seem to have their own theories on the tremors and the boys.
06[15:31] * Bryant_Wallace is like "fuck it" walks over to a couple of the girls, pulls up a chair and asks "So hey, what's going on?"
06[15:32] * Sam_Shepherd looks after Bryant, but doesn't do anything yet.
06[15:34] * Asa_Kennedy rolls his eyes and absentmindedly starts doodling on a blank sheet of paper.
08[15:36] <00@Siege> Almost immediately the girls stop talking, with one of them looking horribly nervous at just having Bryant drop by. The older girl, a blond with a cheeky look on her face, answers "We're just talking about the rumors that have been going around. Some even involve you three."
[15:36] <Bryant_Wallace> *Smiles* "Fill me in, I'm kinda wondering about that actually"
08[15:39] <00@Siege> "Well..." Looking back towards a mediterrean looking girl prompts her to answer: "Well, there were all the tremors yesterday that had us thinking it was a meteorite like Second Impact, but if it was then we probably would've been observing it from here on campus non-stop for extra credit... but no one is saying anything about a meteorite on the news."
06[15:40] * Bryant_Wallace actually gendo poses with his hands "Really? I heard it was an earthquake myself"
08[15:41] <00@Siege> Back to the older girl: "And I heard that it was alive according to Jake...No one's got any answers."
06[15:41] * Bryant_Wallace sits back "Alive?"
08[15:43] <00@Siege> Leaning in while the shakey handed third girl attempts to pour more acid into a container for class, the first speaks: "Well, he said there was something out east over the hills that was making flashing lights. He also heard some explosions. On top of the hill, he saw something move and tried to snap a picture."
08[15:43] <00@Siege> "You know him, he's carrying that goofy old camera everywhere."
[15:44] <Bryant_Wallace> "Right I remember him yeah"
[15:46] <Bryant_Wallace> "But seriously? Aliens?"
08[15:48] <00@Siege> The other girl slides over a bit closer to the blonde one and Bryant: "Yeah, aliens. Because no one can come up with a better explaination."
06[15:49] * Bryant_Wallace smiles "What the fact we live in an area with serious plate tectonics anit good enough? What about the San Adreas fault?"
08[15:49] <00@Siege> "Faults don't make explosions. Besides, there's still the mystery of you three."
06[15:50] * Asa_Kennedy rolls his eyes as he spots a girl very obviously making a mistake. "Excuse me. Would you kindly not create a bomb by mixing the WRONG ingredients together?"
[15:51] <Bryant_Wallace> "Normally the fact a couple girls are talking about me would be kinda nice, but I got to ask now, what about the three of us?"
08[15:51] <00@Siege> Behind the two girls talking to Bryant, everyone seems to have missed their mouse-y friend spill some acid for the lab experiment into another container which is currently fizzing over with a strange foam.
06[15:52] * Asa_Kennedy walks over to the table "Listen Bryant. You're trying too hard. Raise your standards. And you...can you not read? It says pour THIS" he takes a test tube from her "into THIS."
08[15:52] <00@Siege> Whatever question he was asking them is quickly ignored when a long string of foam oozes over, getting close enough for the bunson burner to turn the small container in a cup of fire.
08[15:53] <00@Siege> Interestingly, the fire is bright yellow. This is obviously very safe.
[15:53] <Bryant_Wallace> "Don't be rude Asa" *reaches over and grabs a glass of water*
[15:54] <Asa_Kennedy> "Jesus Christ! Is this what the public school system creates?! Imbeciles?!"
06[15:54] * Sam_Shepherd is watching the situation with great interest.
08[15:55] <00@Siege> The poor girl who started this is frozen in place with of abject, embarassed horror clinging to her face. Her two friends are panicking, with the older one moving to across the room looking for something.
06[15:57] * Asa_Kennedy looks around frantically. "WHERE IS THE EXTINGUISHER?!"
06[15:57] * Bryant_Wallace takes a drink of the water and reaches for the baking soda
06[15:57] * Sam_Shepherd is laughing.
08[15:58] <00@Siege> Soon, the oldest girl hops over with a fire extinguisher, glad to see Bryant DRINKING the water instead of using it.
06[15:58] * Asa_Kennedy pulls out a fire blanket as well, in case this girl is incompetent too.
06[15:58] * Bryant_Wallace dumps the entire fucking thing of baking soda on it to try and put it out thinking "Please don't fucking explode I don't know whats in this shit"
08[16:00] <00@Siege> The combined efforts of team pilot and team girl power soon reduce the flaming container to just a smokey one. The classroom has gone from emotions of panic to laughter in about 15 seconds. Soft clapping can be heard from some of the trouble makers as Dr. Cabrera comes over to survey the damage, mostly talking to the mediterrean girl.
08[16:00] <00@Siege> third girl*, where she calls her by her name: Amanda.
06[16:01] * Bryant_Wallace uses this chance to say to the blonde girl "So what is your name anyways?"
08[16:01] <00@Siege> "Suzanne. I think most of the school already knows you're Bryant. Heheh..."
[16:02] <Bryant_Wallace> *Smiles* "Well Suzanne since we won't be able to finsh our conversation, heres my number, we can talk later okay?"
06[16:03] * Asa_Kennedy tosses the fire blanket angrily at Amanda and walks back to his station. "Hold onto it won't you?......God....this is why women should stay in the kitchen"
06[16:03] * Sam_Shepherd finally takes this opportunity to approach. "Wow, that almost went badly." He doesn't seem particularily bothered by this
08[16:04] <00@Siege> Taking the note, Suzanne is almost dumbfounded, looking back and forth between the note, the pilots, and her friends.
08[16:04] <00@Siege> "Well this dispels one of the rumors at least!"
[16:04] <Bryant_Wallace> "Well that's a relief"
08[16:05] <00@Siege> The second girl nods and adds: "Yeah, we thought all three of you were lovers or something."
06[16:06] * Bryant_Wallace laughs "Lovers? Care to comment Asa?"
06[16:06] * Asa_Kennedy scowls. "Homosexual love is unnatural. The fact that even crossed your mind makes you sick!"
[16:07] <Sam_Shepherd> "Hey, that's not very nice. They were just confused!"
[16:08] <Bryant_Wallace> "As you can see, even if we were gay Asa wouldn't allow it"
[16:09] <Asa_Kennedy> "Can it SAM! Why don't you site there and do nothing some more?!"
06[16:09] * Asa_Kennedy crosses his arms and sits down, clenching his eyes shut.
06[16:10] * Bryant_Wallace smiles at Suzanne
08[16:11] <00@Siege> The rest of the class goes by uneventfully compared to Amanda's firey show with Dr. Cabrera letting the poor girl continue working but no longer able to handle chemicals due to her nerves. The other classmates were more content to joke about the fire than muse over the three pilots...
08[16:12] <00@Siege> Sooner than later, the class bell sounds and it's the most important period of the day: lunch.
06[16:12] * Bryant_Wallace packs his stuff up and gets ready to go to lunch
06[16:14] * Bryant_Wallace glances over at the girls
06[16:15] * Asa_Kennedy pulls out his cell phone and dials a number. "So you'll be on time this time? REMEMBER I said POACHED not FRIED."
06[16:18] * Bryant_Wallace grabs Sam "Your coming with me, You need more friends" and waives at the girls
[16:19] <Sam_Shepherd> "Huh? O-Okay." Sam is a bit confused but follows.
[16:19] <Bryant_Wallace> "You to Asa, lets blend in"
06[16:22] * Bryant_Wallace leads Sam at least to go have lunch with the girls
06[16:23] * Asa_Kennedy shrugs and finds an empty table.
06[16:26] * Sam_Shepherd follows along, as weirdly cheerful as usual. He doesn't get very much food, just some noodles and a drink.
06[16:27] * Bryant_Wallace grabs a hearty lunch and sits with the girls to eat
06[16:28] * Asa_Kennedy is watching them from afar. Peering over his Psalms book. He's picking at an extravagant meal that his father had delivered for him.
06[16:30] * Bryant_Wallace chats with the girls to just get to know more about them
08[16:30] <00@Siege> The two boys head off towards the girls: Suzanne and Tiffany (the dark haired one) appear to be teasing Amanda, who was taking it quite well before Bryant and Sam appeared.
[16:31] <Bryant_Wallace> "hi there"
[16:31] <Sam_Shepherd> "Hey you three." Sam gives a short wave as he sits down.
06[16:32] * Bryant_Wallace sits down with Sam "Funny running into you three here"
08[16:32] <00@Siege> Amanda barely squeeks out "Hello" before Tiffany and Suzanne move to make room. "Here's two of our three celeberties."
08[16:33] <00@Siege> "Here to dispel other fun rumors? Or to confirm them now that that poor kid isn't here?"
06[16:34] * Bryant_Wallace reflexivly fiddles with his dogtags "Well I guess that's up to you"
08[16:36] <00@Siege> Tiffany leans in "Well, you three are a bit of a bad omen around school."
[16:37] <Sam_Shepherd> "There's always rumors about NERV. You know I can't really talk about that stuff."
[16:37] <Bryant_Wallace> "Is that so?"
06[16:37] * Sam_Shepherd it's obvious he'd REALLY LIKE to talk about that stuff.
06[16:37] * Bryant_Wallace looks at Same like "Really?"
08[16:38] <00@Siege> Tiffany and Suzanne look at eachother with a look halfway between excitement and fear at what they could be getting themselves into. Amanda on the other hand is only peeking up here and there.
06[16:40] * Bryant_Wallace leans back in his seat "Well you went and did it now Sam"
08[16:43] <00@Siege> Suzaane answers: "We heard from before that Sam had like, his brother in NERV or something, but I didn't realize all you guys do too?"
06[16:45] * Bryant_Wallace in a painfully clear attempt to downplay his involevment "Well yeah, I guess I do some part time work for them"
[16:45] <Sam_Shepherd> "No, its my Father that works for NERV," Sam corrects, oblvious to Bryant's attempts. "Just like Bryant and Asa and me. Er, not doing the same thing of course."
06[16:46] * Bryant_Wallace thinks "Why don't you just tell them about the Giant robots while your at it"
[16:47] <Bryant_Wallace> "
[16:47] <Bryant_Wallace> "Well yeah like I said I'm kinda unimportant over there" *Blatent lies*
08[16:48] <00@Siege> Suzanne stands dumbfounded while Tiffany takes over: "Ok what. What about giant robots? Is that the shit that Jake keeps talking about?"
06[16:49] * Bryant_Wallace covers his mouth just before spraying the table
[16:50] <Bryant_Wallace> "Giant robots.. Well Hmmm... Giant robots..."
[16:50] <Sam_Shepherd> "...I can neither confirm nor deny that statement." Sam says this in somewhat of a monotone, as if the response had been drilled into his head.
[16:52] <Bryant_Wallace> "Well hell I don't think I saw any giant *Robots* per say"
08[16:53] <00@Siege> "Then what the hell was with all the tremors and power outages? And how come you three...disappear for a day or two at a time?"
08[16:53] <00@Siege> Suzanne suddenly starts peeking her head around: "Yeah where is your third musketeer?"
[16:54] <Bryant_Wallace> "Oh I invited Asa to join us, but he's off being rich or something, but uh... right... Uh....  Power outages... Aw fuck it"
[16:56] <Bryant_Wallace> "Okay, you three have to keep quiet about this okay?"
08[16:57] <00@Siege> Suzanne nods slowly, Tiffany simply keeps her eyes narrowed at Bryant, and Amanda is busy peeking up to look at...Sam.
[16:58] <Bryant_Wallace> "Sam pilots the giant robot, I'm his wingman" *BLATENT LIES!!!*
08[16:59] <00@Siege> "....really?"
08[16:59] <00@Siege> Amanda's voice is like a mouse.
[16:59] <Bryant_Wallace> "Yeah it's all him, Asa and I are loaders"
06[17:00] * Bryant_Wallace is still lying quite obviously, to downplay his role
06[17:00] * Sam_Shepherd turns quickly to Bryant. "What? No, that's wrong! And we're not supposed to talk about that stuff!"
08[17:02] <00@Siege> "...Ok, right. Sam, what the hell is it that you can't talk about because this is bullshit." Suzanne seems a bit...angry at Bryant twisting his words.
06[17:05] * Asa_Kennedy walks over to the table, very visibly irritated. "May I speak with you two?" He motions to Sam and Bryant.
[17:05] <Asa_Kennedy> "In PRIVATE."
06[17:05] * Bryant_Wallace looks concerned "Hey Sam, if we shot shot behind the chemical shed for this, it's on you bro, excuse us, and please, trying to keep quiet about this"
[17:06] <Sam_Shepherd> "What did I do..." Sam looks very confused and distressed. He looks up at Asa.
08[17:06] <00@Siege> "Ok, you three talk about your giant robots and then come back to explain it." Tiffany says as they leave.
[17:07] <Bryant_Wallace> "Hey Suzzane? Call me later okay?"
[17:07] <Sam_Shepherd> As he gets up to follow Asa Sam stops and turns back. "...Amanda? Are you okay? You've been looking kinda funny this whole time..."
08[17:07] <00@Siege> "Sorry, I only date the pilots not the 'wingmen'"
08[17:07] <00@Siege> They aren't very good at not talking about this.
[17:08] <Bryant_Wallace> *Smiles* "Probbly for the best honestly"
08[17:08] <00@Siege> Amanda squeeks out the words: "I'm fine..."
06[17:08] * Asa_Kennedy sets the drink he had in his hand roughly on the table. "NOW SAMAEL."
06[17:09] * Bryant_Wallace walks off not making eye contact as he steps out of sight
08[17:09] <00@Siege> Suzanne seems to give her a pity hug as Asa attempts to lead the rest of the pilots away. The scene is rather comical due to the wide range of emotions on everyone's face.

06[17:14] * Sam_Shepherd frowns. "Everyone knows what NERV is, Bryant. We're just not supposed to talk about Operations or missions or the Evangelions."
[17:14] <Asa_Kennedy> "Samael...do you know who funds our base? Do you know who makes sure you're even able to exist?"
[17:14] <Bryant_Wallace> "God damnit I know that, but they allready knew about the Eva's, I was trying to find out *how* they knew"

[17:23] <Bryant_Wallace> "Okay I won't lie, I kinda am hoping to maybe have some normalicy at this school, it would be kinda nice to be a normal teenager for a few hours a week, and sure I think Suzzane is kinda cute, but we need to kill the rumors for there sake"

06[17:31] * Sam_Shepherd shakes his head. "Do you have one?"
06[17:31] * Asa_Kennedy is very visibly annoyed by Frank. "I need to go somewhere quiet. Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber. I take my leave"

08[17:32] <00@Siege> "Nope. He's a traditional guy though, so he probably is spending lunch developing it or something. I think he's going to develop it and see about submitting it to the news or something."

08[17:41] <00@Siege> After a few twists and turns about campus, the two remaining pilots find themselves entering into the art studio and attached dark room. A few of the more "art-inclined" students are still here as well as a handful of goofy anime kids and goth kids. Towards the back room several doors are seen with a red light glowing above them next to a sign that says "Darkroom in use".
06[17:42] * Bryant_Wallace knows this is going to piss more than one person off, probbly won't actually help maters and is probbly going to get him sent, at best case, to the principals office, but he walks up and opens the door saying "Is it in here Frank?"
08[17:44] <00@Siege> Luckily, dark rooms have an antechamber or small hallway you enter before entering into the dark room proper. But it's naerly pitch black with faint red lighting.
06[17:44] * Bryant_Wallace thinks "Fuck"
08[17:45] <00@Siege> "Who's that coming on in? Hello?" Frank answers back: "Hey Jake, brought some fans."
[17:45] <Bryant_Wallace> "Yeah I heard someone had some wierd pictures in here"
08[17:46] <00@Siege> Once the group rounds the corner, the red light of the dark room shows a hipster-looking kid with thick rimmed glasses dipping photos into the chemical baths while...Suzanne, Tiffany, and Amanda stand off to the side next to him. Along with two other students they have yet to meet.

08[17:47] <00@Siege> "Yep. Hopefully these pictures could get me a nice check and a job at the San Francisco press."

08[17:48] <00@Siege> "I always wanted to make it big with photography, but you need something big to get noticed unless you want to just do gallery shows. This is probably the best thing to have fallen into my lap in a while."
[17:48] <Bryant_Wallace> "What am I looking at?"
08[17:49] <00@Siege> The picture shows a dark, humanoid shape attacking a bluish-orange blob. Due to it having no discernable wing binders, it looks to be Bryant and unit 06. A tracer trail shows a bullet freshly fired from Asa.
08[17:49] <00@Siege> Sam it seems did not make it into the papers.
[17:49] <Bryant_Wallace> "Huh... Wierd shit man, you really planing on selling this?"
08[17:50] <00@Siege> "Damn. What the hell was this." Muses Jake. The other students crowd around him and Frank elbows the two pilots and mouths the words "DUDE!" to them both.
06[17:50] * Sam_Shepherd peers over his shoulder at the picture. "...Cool. Did you get any more?"
[17:50] <Bryant_Wallace> "Why the hell did we never see this before?"
08[17:51] <00@Siege> Pointing to a few other pictures down the line: "I had gotten mostly only smoke and flashing lights. This thing was the best image i had gotten. The other two were of the big blue blob thing and another one of the giants."
[17:52] <Bryant_Wallace> "No seriously... How could something like this be hidden?"
[17:52] <Sam_Shepherd> "...Aw. Nothing of Seven, then." Sam looks disappointed.

08[17:53] <00@Siege> The power in the room however, is briefly flickered on and off, with the red lights illuminating the room going dark for half a second before turning bcak on again with a buzz.

08[17:56] <00@Siege> "Lucky? Going camping out east? I don't know."
06[17:56] * Sam_Shepherd blinks. "He isn't. Section 2 just doesn't let them get published usually."
08[17:56] <00@Siege> "So, I guess this would be our big hero's giant robot?" Suzanne points to the picture and looks to Sam.
[17:56] <Bryant_Wallace> "Look at them though, they don't look like there brand new, maybe prototypes, FUCKS SAKE SAM!"
[17:56] <Bryant_Wallace> "Are you trying to get everyone in this room killed?"
08[17:57] <00@Siege> Once again, the lights in the room are turned completely off. This time for a much longer period of time.

[17:58] <Bryant_Wallace> "I'm saying if these are some kind of goverment project, super secret shit, then, well i've seen enough tv an anime where this is going
08[18:00] <00@Siege> Suddenly the room's emergency lights crank on, flooding the room with a much brighter white light. The pictures begin to fade away while on the line as Jake freaks the fuck out.
[18:01] <Sam_Shepherd> "...See? Like that." Sam nods, looking smug.
[18:01] <Bryant_Wallace> "Closes his eyes"
08[18:01] <00@Siege> "What the fuck just happened!? What the fuck did you two do?!"
[18:01] <Bryant_Wallace> "What the shit i'm fucking blind!"
08[18:01] <00@Siege> Jake is obviously upset while the girls are frantically trying to snap pictures with their camera phones. as they flash the picture only worsens.
06[18:02] * Bryant_Wallace looks out "Did we just loose power?"
08[18:03] <00@Siege> "I..uh...I think we did." Frank exclaims. The girls are frantically looking back through their 1,1shitty cameraphone pictures to try and find a saved one. The other students left as theres nothing left to see.
06[18:03] * Sam_Shepherd sighs. Why is everyone getting all worked up?
06[18:04] * Bryant_Wallace steps out rubbing his one good eye "Damn that was a cool pic too"

[18:05] <Bryant_Wallace> "adjusting to the light right now"

08[18:07] <00@Siege> "Wait, so you two ARE from NERV?!" Frank steps in briefly to try and pacify the situation: "Sam just...is like the son of a professor there or something? I think Bryant is just an intern."
06[18:08] * Bryant_Wallace is staying silent, looks over at Suzzane

[18:08] <Bryant_Wallace> "Your guess is as good as mine"
[18:09] <Sam_Shepherd> "I can neither confirm nor deny that statement," Sam repeats automatically.
06[18:09] * Bryant_Wallace is rubing his glass eye, it's feeling irritated for some reason
08[18:10] <00@Siege> Suzanne looks at Bryant briefly as the emergency lights switch off again and the red lights turn on. As they do, she pushes her way past him and leaves, looking rather irate. Tiff and Amanda are still in the corner.

06[18:11] * Bryant_Wallace dosen't try to hide the fact that he has a fake eye at this point
08[18:11] <00@Siege> "Fine. You have your secrets. We'll just stay the fuck out of it." Tiffany leaves next, followed closely behind with Amanda, who ignores Bryant's lack of an eyeball and instead gives Sam one last glance before leaving.
06[18:12] * Sam_Shepherd waves pleasantly at her. He's still kind of confused, so defaults to his usual odd pleasantness

08[18:15] <00@Siege> "It's fine. This isn't the first time, is it? I heard about there being a big incident in Japan yesterday involving a power outage too. There will be others."
