  71. Not-So-Mechanical Shit
  72.
  73. Age: 17 Years Old
  74. Height: 5'03"
  75. Weight: 120 lb.
  76.
  77. Caleb bears a scrawny build, alongside a somewhat pale complexion; he his dark blue hair, somewhat dissheveled and ruffled up a bit, falls just short enough to encroach upon his eyebrows, beneath which are eyes boasting a shade of purple just dark enough that they are often be mistaken for black.
  78. His apparel is indicative of his travels; a beige short-sleeve shirt, said sleeves colored an autumn brown, show the results of years of wear and tear, at parts seemingly ready to fall apart at the seams. A pair of baggy, loose-fitting pants that once upon a time were white are, more or less, all that cover his body from the waist beneath; a blanket of navy blue, just large enough that it trails along the ground when Caleb is walking, is wrapped around his neck and descends from his shoulders.
  79.
  80. “Welcome to the Town of <Insert Town Name Here>!” The wooden sign, painted over in what could be best described as pastel colors’ less obnoxious, not quite in-your-face siblings, was probably the warmest reception Caleb’d get from this town. The same as every other town he’s been to. Still, it couldn’t be much worse, right? Clenching a little black book in his arms, he proceeded into the town, a faint smile on his face as he hoped for the best.
  81.
  82. Unfortunately, hope only goes so far. If Caleb was lucky, they’d simply ignore him. Try to avoid eye contact or suddenly make a round-about and hastily go down another street corner when they saw him. If a shopkeep caught wind of Caleb trying to approach their store with what little gold he had on hand, more often than not he’d find the door locked upon attempting to use it, the sign having reverted to “Closed” by the time he could look up from the handle.
  83.
  84. Stomach rumbling, he approaches a fruit stand set up in the middle of town. It’s not like they can just pick up their cart and run off with it, can they? Caleb’s hand shakes feebly, lack of energy visible as he holds forth the gold to the vendor, pointing towards some of the fresh picked apples. But it’s soon swatted out of his hands, a cold glare beaming down upon him. He drops to the floor, scrambling to pick up what little monetary value he has to his name when he hears a rumbling behind him; he turns his head back, a small avalanche of apples descending upon and swallowing him whole.
  85.
  86. Caleb’s head pops out from beneath the pile, a dazed look on his face from taking one too many knocks to the head, soon turning into confusion as he finds he has an apple clamped down upon in his mouth. And further into fear as he soon finds himself staring down the shiny part of an iron blade… Y’know, the part that actually can kill people.
  87.
  88. Panic now befalling his face, he attempts to swim out of the sea of fruit as the blade is raised; the impact of metal on the ground was soon followed by innards of quite a few now severed apples firing off in all directions, some of their liquid contents dampening his face. Though Caleb attempts to flee, footsteps soon follow, accompanied by the “whoosh” of the metal cutting through the air.
  89.
  90. Running down a dark alley, he soon finds that, for but a moment, his only company is a massive brick wall standing before him. Searching for another exit proves impossible, but turning around reveals he’s once again rejoined by the enraged shopkeep. He closes his eyes and looks away, not wishing to bear witness to the wound that will spell the end of him.
  91.
  92. Time passes, perhaps that of an eternity to the young boy. Slowly opening his eyes, what comes into vision is a pair of black masses, taking on the form of hands, clasping down upon the blade; they quickly remove it from the man’s hands, only to return it to what they deem an appropriate sheath… The offender’s stomach.
  93.
  94. The sky opens up, rain falling as if on cue to wash away the blood that pours out from what is now a lifeless body. He simply watches the flow of blood as it follows the trail set forth by the cobbled path before the masses take further motion; eyes follow their gaze as best as they can before they disappear behind him, only to hoist him by the collar of his shirt, through the blanket he wears, to hoist him over the wall to safety…
