Tect: when making a team i usually build around a mon or a core comprised of two or three mons
i kidz: core is defensive, yes?
Tect: for an example, give me a core or a pokemon
i kidz: pelipper
Tect: core can be balanced, defensive or offensive
Tect: ah
Tect: pelliper
Tect: so with pelliper i would try to pair it with something to ease that huge electric weakness
Tect: piloswine fits well here
i kidz: so you are trying to neutralize weaknesses as you go and build around that specific pokemon?
Tect: so pilo+pelliper is a balanced core, as piloswine isnt really defensive as much as bulky offense
Tect: pilo and pelliper complement each other,, as they work to take on each others weaknesses for the most part
Tect: pelliper takes fighting, water, steel and to a certain extent grass hits for pilo
Tect: while pilo is immune to electric and can tank ice and rock hits
Tect: pilo also lays down rocks and pelliper defogs them away..so they work in tandem
Tect: although pelliper is pressured a lot in this meta, as most waters are carrying hp electric to hit other waters and pelliper
Tect: simipour can deal with both very effectively
Tect: rose is usually prefered with piloswine, as they both take on electrics for the most part and rose can take water and grass hits very well
Tect: and its bulk allows it tank non stab ice beams alright
i kidz: but sometimes, i start adding pokemon that synergise with each other and when i am in the process of editing i start changing everything up and end up deleting the team in general
Tect: send me a team like that and explain what you wanted to build around
Tect: and ill try to show you what you did wrong or how to do it more effectively
