  1. <SavanahHolland> Wendy walks down the boy's dorm hall, most of the other times she had tried in some way to hide from the guys that stared as she walks blantently down the hall. It's not like there was a real rule or anything about females invading the third floor or anything. She kept her face straight, a simple blue sweater on her body, the same one she had worn on the very first bus ride to Sunnybrook. Normal black skinny jeans an
  2. <SavanahHolland> d flats like Jan perhaps would remember it. Her hair not in its pigtails due to being cut extremely short. She holds a small basket in her arms, filled with something and a small cloth on top of it to keep it just that from random eyes, just something. She approaches what she had found out recently was Jan's dorm room. Knocking on it simply three times for the boy to answer.
  3. <ThePolice> Jan lies stock still on his bed, in a trance when the knocks come. Some primal part of himself shivers at the thought of the knocking. They always knocked first, and always were there for the same thing. 'But that's okay,' he thinks 'I'm a good boy now, I can take it.' and stands. He still wears his baggy pants, although they are very close to being too small
  4. <ThePolice> after his growth spurt, and over it he wears his similarily shrunken grey hoodie and black shirt. He walks slowly, with dread to the door, and steeling himself, opens it, only to look down to Wendy at his doorstep.
  5. <SavanahHolland> Wendy looks up at him, her face a little dull with no real smile. The same exactly clothing you remember her wearing on the bus to SunnyBrook. Wendy has a different air about her, somewhat unsettling despite her face with little expression besides the small smile that now started to gently glide to her face. "Hello." she says to the boy politely, holding up the basket from him to see, and pulling back the little clot
  6. <SavanahHolland> h on top of it showing the basket filled with small muffins that are either chocolate chip or blueberry "Here, I made them."
  7. <ThePolice> Jan extends his hands and takes the basket, looking down at them and then at Wendy, a wave of relief washing over Jan as he understands that he is safe another day. "Ah, thank you." He says showing a soft smile. Taking care to carefully place the basket on top of his dresser he comes back to staring down at Wendy. Silent.
  8. <SavanahHolland> Wendy tries to look into the boy's bedroom as he walks in, but keeping her place firmly outside as not to intrude, her hard expression slowly taking over whatever smile she had managed to make, or even keep. "May I come in?" she asks, rather coldly, though it may just sound, blank. No real emotion at all, she was unsure what to feel, so it would be better to ignore that all together in her mind.
  9. <ThePolice> Jan looks down on Wendy for an extended beat, listening, and waiting, before stepping back, door open wide, and extending an arm for Wendy to take a seat on his bed. The room is just as sparsely furnished as it was when he first arrived, a dresser, whos top was still cracked and off its base from before Jan left, the carpet near the closet, that while that
  10. <ThePolice> had been fixed, still had a black spot of dried blood at the base of it. And draped across hooks on the back of his door, the still drying overalls, shirt and scarf that Jan came in with last night.
  11. <SavanahHolland> Wendy slowly enters the room, her movements decided. She takes a seat on the bed like Jan had motioned for her, barely taking up any room at all. Glancing over to the still drying scarf and the basket of muffins she made. Her gaze finally going back on the broken Jan. "How have you been?" she asks, the same still face, she didn't quite care, but small talk seemed normal right now.
  12. <ThePolice> Jan stares down at Wendy, closing the door with one hand as she enters. He stares down at her, his soft smile unfaltering and his features motionless save for blinking. "I've been very busy with new friends. I am glad to be back though." He says, his smile widening.
  13. <ThePolice> "Have you met Sam? She is very nice monster person. I like her." He says, his smile growing wider again
  14. <SavanahHolland> Wendy nods understandingly "New friends? Who have you met?" she asks, still not caring but perhaps letting some curiousity slip through the cracks of her already smooth voice. Moving a over her hair so it stays back, with it being cut so short she didn't care much though.
  15. <ThePolice> Jan shifts uncomfortably for a moment, rubbing an arm with his other hand. "Mr Hennessy is also nice, and Mr Jackson said I did a very good job yesterday!"
  16. <ThePolice> "Lots of friends!"
  17. <SavanahHolland> Wendy looks to him, blinking at the face that he had called Sam a 'monster person', though it might have just been her usual blinking. No real expression on her face, or even a single emotion willing to do so. "It's good to hear you're making friends." she scoots a little to the side, motioning for him to sit down next to her as well.
  18. <ThePolice> Jan stares for another extended beat, looking as Wendy moves over, and then at her. The gears eventually catch and he happily takes a seat next to her. He says nothing just smiling, and slowly turning over his feet in front of him.
  19. <ThePolice> "This is nice." He says at last to break the silence, that at once time he would have desperately annihilated, but now he seemed utterly at home in. "It reminds me of when me and Lilith used to be together. That makes me happy." he says, beaming down at wendy
  20. <SavanahHolland> Wendy looks straight ahead, but now her gaze moved away from the boy, a small pained sadness creeping on her face he mentions Lilith. They had been together too. The olive skinned spider that had by now trapped already.. three people in her web? Wendy was unsure if it was even that little. She says in a unwavering voice, despite her pained pale features. "Lilith is dead."
  21. <ThePolice> Jan nods silently, turning to look at the wall as he turns over his feet, knocking his toes together. "Lillith is the lucky one!" He says beaming, his soft smile replaced with a genuine grin. "I'm so happy for her. Now she is in the Olive Orchard just like she always wanted, even though she didn't know it!" Jan turns back to Wendy. "Aren't you just so happy
  22. <ThePolice> she is free?"
  23. <SavanahHolland> Wendy turns her head to face her lap, her face crumpling and twisting into something more painful. She kept wavering, to the little hope still left in her heart. Everyone told her Lilith was dead, the woman, Jan, even her own mirror. Always. She mumbles softly "Olive Orchard.." wasn't that such a pretty idea of heaven? Wendy remembered how much Lilith said she loved olives. Wendy even spent awhile getting the girl a
  24. <SavanahHolland> real package of them, the real kind, she would do it again, Lilith's smile was enough. But Lilith was dead.
  25. <ThePolice> Jan continued to turn over his feet, first away, then together. Letting Wendy enjoy happy thoughts. Jan did not have any thoughts of his own then, alone to himself in some distant place, buried under stone and mortar and water. But that is okay.
  26. <ThePolice> Turning to look down at Wendy again, he pats her gently on the back. "I know, Its so nice to hear a happy ending, especially when so many bad things happen. But we are all going to get a happy ending soon." He says, trying to look past her to his own happy place, "So don't be jealous. Okay?"
  27. <SavanahHolland> Wendy takes a deep breath, moving her gaze then to the ceiling, as if where she looked reflected her emotions, that barely was shown on her face besides the pained smile that formed on her lips. She says quietly, or more so asks "What do you mean we are all going to get a happy ending soon?" her voice wavers, like her thoughts. Lilith was dead, he sees Lilith's dead as a happy ending, what is Jan going to do? She has
  28. <SavanahHolland> no idea, and perhaps she doesn't even care.
  29. <ThePolice> Jan still grinning, momentarily halts, surprised to no end that she didn't know. 'Is it a secret?' He thought. 'I'm not supposed to tell people secrets...' Shaking himself from his scattered thoughts he returned to Wendy. "We all get to go away from here soon. That's what Mr Hennessy said! We do our jobs, and keep our heads clean, and we get to go home like
  30. <ThePolice> Lillith!"
  31. <ThePolice> Jan continues caught in his own excitement, "And then we don't have to keep secrets, or hurt people, or be bad anymore! We all get to have a happy ending, really really soon! Just have hope!"
  32. <SavanahHolland> Wendy lays back, the back of her body hitting to bed as she continues to look up, away from Jan but she still speaks to him. "Go.. home.. like Lilith.. Lilith is dead Jan.." she closes her eyes slowly, her voice going softer and maybe a little fear making its way faintly in "Are we going to all die soon Jan?"
  33. <ThePolice> Jan continues to smile nodding quickly. "We all get to go home, to the place where dreams come from! No more worries! We just have to wait a little while longer!" He says, turning to look at Wendy laid out. "And we can all be in the olive orchard, or my castle, or your house, and just be happy!"
  34. <SavanahHolland> Wendy lets a faint smile overpower her fear, anger, unsure feelings she brushes to the side. She looks somewhat peacful for a moment, or perhaps longer, some black stands of hair going over her eyes. "We can go home.. that sounds nice.. To go home.." Wendy had no home to back back to, not that one, but the olive orchard. The could all be together, Lilith, Lucette, Akemi and herself. Jan could join, anyone could join
  35. <SavanahHolland> in the Olive Orchard, that was nice.
  36. <ThePolice> Jan still smiling sticks his tongue out, and goes back to turning his feet, letting Wendy be happy. After a few moments he notices the basket, and from where his is sitting, reaches over and grabs, it, picking a nice blueberry muffin to start with.
  37. <SavanahHolland> Wendy lets some more hair fall from her face, the Olive orchard he spoke of. Akemi and her sitting under a tree together, Lilith was there too, with Lucette. They all talked and giggled about normal things teenage girls did. As if SunnyBrook had never happened, everything was normal, everyone was happy. Lilith wasn't in the garden alone anymore. Wendy opens her eyes slowly, she wasn't in the garden, Akemi wasn't with
  38. <SavanahHolland> her, and Lilith was still alone. Under the same sweet Olive tree. She stays in her position, moving her head to watch Jan, her expression back to nothing, just laying there, doing nothing.
  39. <ThePolice> Jan finishes the first muffin and moves for a second when he notices Wendy looking at him. He smiles, through the crumbs on his face at her. "I can tell you just had a really nice dream." He beams at her, "Can I see it?"
  40. <SavanahHolland> Wendy smiles back, a tired and painful expression rather than a fake beam. Turning her eyes back to the ceiling and slowly closing them "You may." she says quietly, perhaps more peace about her in the thoughts of Lilith as she had ever been.
  41. <ThePolice> Dark tendrils behind a veil unseen yet present stir, and unwrapping themselves writhe for purchase in Wendies mind. For Jans credit, his time away had made him much more subtle, and his intrusion left no dread or chill in Wendy as he traveled the realm of her dreams. As he came to her newest daydream he marveled at how nice it was. And seeing Wendy and
  42. <ThePolice> Lillith alone among these alien trees, her own special dream of the orchard, a pit formed in Jans stomach, a slow realization forming. As a spectre, and a guest he swept low, and took in the reality of what he was seeing. Wendy loved Lillith, much as he did at one time. How happy they seemed there, but the thoughts it brought were unwelcome. How soon had she
  43. <ThePolice> moved on? he marveled. 'That industrious little girl', he thought dejectedly, 'She didn't save a thought for the past. I hope she is happy.' And at once he retreated from her, returning that phantom limb to its rest.
  44. <ThePolice> "You have nice dreams." Jan says as he unwraps a chocolate muffin.
  45. <SavanahHolland> A small blush comes to her pale white keeps, the same always ginger pink she had shared with Lilith many times when she teased her. Remembering the girl, despite all that Lilith had done to her, hurt her, she still loved her. "Yes.." she says quietly, the image of Lilith fleeting. Opening her eyes "They are nice." her voice a whisper to the room around them.
  46. <ThePolice> Jan continues to feast on the muffins as he watches Wendy. Stopping only to speak, and spewing a few crumbs over his hoodie, "I like your Lilith a lot. She isn't sad. I want to meet her!" Jan say with determination as he puts the bits of his current muffin back in the basket and puts it to the floor. He then stands away from the bed, towards the empty corner
  47. <ThePolice> Of the room, to have plenty of space.
  48. <SavanahHolland> Wendy's eyes follow the boy as he moved "Yes.. Lilith was happy.." she smiles at the thought, Lilith really being happy, Lilith in the Olive orchard that Jan had spoke of. She asks him quietly "Do you think.. Lilith is alone..?"
  49. <ThePolice> "I don't know! Lets find out!" Jan says this as he reaches into the thin air, and tugs hard at something. His other hand goes to join his first as his arms now completely disappear into nothing and he fumbles with something unseen.
  50. <ThePolice> "Come out Lillith! Stop hiding!" He shouts as his now arm less torso fights with the air. "I want to see you again!"
  51. <SavanahHolland> Wendy's eyes grow wide at his words, find out? How could they find out unless they.. her intital horror dashed as her upper body comes to attention, sitting normally with her body turnt to the torso in air. "Jan... what are you.." Wendy looks horrified, but not as much as you would think, perhaps dulled by now from the real horrors she had already seen, felt.. done.
  52. <ThePolice> "I can feel her! I found your Lillith!" He shouts triumphantly, still struggling with thin air. "I think I can drag her out, but its hard. Mr Hennessy usually help me when I take out people. Come give me a hand Wendy!" he asks pathetically, a whine clear on his voice, his smile replaced with a pained grimace.
  53. <SavanahHolland> Wendy's eyes go wider at Jan.. he found.. /her/ Lilith? She bolts up, walking to him with the same determined silky movements, her eyes wide looking up at him "What.. do.. I.. do..?" she asks the torso of a boy quietly.
  54. <ThePolice> "Grab my waist and pull! I've got a hold on her, just pull!" He says, straining against something writhing against his imaginary grip.
  55. <SavanahHolland> Wendy's eyes somehow grow larger, grabbing Jan's wrist in quick speed. Wendy was a strong girl, and you could almost tell, despite her usual baggy sweater, and the fact that Wendy herself was really a stick of a girl. She somehow still manages some strength, pulling back like Jan had told her with all her might.
  56. <ThePolice> Jans arms, make purchase back in the waking world, growing back out as he and Wendy take a few steps back, at last he pulls through an arm, and with a pop, Lillith, in her hijaab is torn from her dream with some force knocking all three back against the wall.
  57. <SavanahHolland> Wendy is knocked back against the wall with the others, offering a small 'oof' from the frail looking girl, leaving her breathless for less than a second. Her eyes first going to Jan, then Lilith, dream Lilith, but still Lilith.. /her/ Lilith. Tears start to stream down her face, she doesn't move, just looking at her own vision of Lilith's beauty in her eyes. Her hand slowly going to her locket, the one she had kept
  58. <SavanahHolland> mostly hidden, but always somewhere on her, holding it tight with her hand as more cold tears lick her white cheeks.
  59. <ThePolice> Jan is dazed for a moment, disoriented from exertion and fatigue, but snaps out of it fast when he realizes he is face to face with what he was looking for. Carefully pushing Lilith back, she takes a few steps to steady herself, and looks back at him as he moves aside to let Wendy breath. Looking back to Lilith Jan beams. "Hello!"
  60. <ThePolice> Lillith stares back at him, smiling.
  61. <SavanahHolland> Wendy stares to her lost love, looking at her always dazzling emerald eyes. Stumbling up, her hand going to the wall almost pitifully before she lets go of it, moving closer to Lilith as her own eyes sparkle from the tears. "Lilith.." she says almost silent to all but herself, slowly moving a hand to try to caress the girl's cheek.
  62. <ThePolice> Dream Lillith smiles and raises a hand to her cheek as well. Jan meanwhile slowly lowers his smile as Lillith seemingly ignores him. "I said hello
  63. <ThePolice> its nice to meet you!" he says indignantly, confused and afraid that he did something wrong. But Lilith ignores him and just continues to hold Wendys hand.
  64. <SavanahHolland> Wendy kisses Lilith's forehead, moving her hands so they can travel down her lover, locking around to hold Lilith's waist, holding the girl tight to herself and spinning around for a second, her eyes on her as if she were the only person in the room at that moment. A painfully happy smile on Wendy's face, as the silent tears still fall from her face.
  65. <ThePolice> Jan stares, now a peircing glare, as Lilith silently holds Wendy, and they enjoy each other. Why wont she notice him? He huffs, and sits oh the bed, angrily tearing into the muffins and devouring them as he stares at the two of them, lost in their own world, with silent rage.
  66. <ThePolice> Lilith holds Wendy close, tenderly, and with no hint of the strange anger that was the girl that stabbed her. This Lilith was perfect, just the way she dreamed. Lilith moved to kiss her tenderly, as Jan, fuming and trying to calm down stares on.
  67. <SavanahHolland> Wendy showers Lilith was now almost constant kisses back, making each one more tender and studied than the last one, slowly pulling their lips away, setting the girl back on her feet and then looking to Jan as the tears still seem to fall, her smile so very bright. Rushing over to him and wrapping her arms around him, hugging him tight as the tears might even start to get on his should "Th..thank you! Thank.. you so
  68. <SavanahHolland> much!" her voice almost cracks, it was amazing, she got her Lilith back.. and she had Jan to thank for bringing her back to her.
  69. <ThePolice> Jan stares over Wendys shoulder as she embraces him, looking at the doppleganger beyond
  70. <ThePolice> FUCK
  71. <ThePolice> with increasing incredulity, before something strikes his memory. "Oh that's whats wrong. Shes mute!" He pushes back against Wendy, prying himself and his muffins away from her. "I'm sorry about that, I made a bad one. She isn't all there. Do you mind if I try again?" He says, staring up at Wendy from his seat, all signs of anger gone, and replaced with
  72. <ThePolice> relief and happiness.
  73. <SavanahHolland> Wendy blinks some tears that had bunched up in her eyes as she's pushed back, looking to him as if he were mad. Grabbing Lilith in her arms and running her hand down her love's face. "No, She's perfect.."
  74. <ThePolice> Jan stares confusedly at the girl as he took another bite of muffin, but relents with a soft shrug, smiling up at the two of them. "If it makes you happy, okay." He watches her for a moment, before again, memory rises from death, and reminds him. "Oh, if you want to keep her, you should know a few things. Dreams arent hard to take care of, but its essential
  75. <ThePolice> that you do the right things. Since shes your dream, try to dream about her every few days so she stays healthy, that's really important. Big dreams like people die fast." Jan crosses his legs, and puts his chin in his hand thoughtfully as he thinks, "And there was something else..."
  76. <ThePolice> Dream Lilith reaches out to re-embrace Wendy, a distant look of longing and happiness on her face. As Jan looks up and sees this he remembers, "Oh yea! If she starts showing signs of being evil, like, if she tortures little animals or hits people, that means that I did it wrong, and she has to die. So watch out for that." He says with a wide smile.

  80. <ThePolice> "And I can always just make you another one!"
  81. <SavanahHolland> Wendy kisses both of Lilith's cheeks, looking down at the girl and pressing herself against her in the tight embrace of two. "I don't think... I /can/ keep her.." she still had a duty to love Akemi, and she very much still will and does, Akemi comes before Lilith now, always. She holds Lilith tight, her head making a small cracking noise as it turns to him tightly "K-killing..?"
  82. <ThePolice> Jan nods, "Yea, killing a dream is really easy, especially people. They usually don't fight back, and even if they do, they often arent strong enough to resist. And they don't die messy either!" He says beaming. "Whenever I kill dreams they turn to dust, and that dust usually disintegrates pretty fast."
  83. <ThePolice> "If you don't want her, I can just get rid of her, its really easy. Ill just hold her down, and squeeze her neck until she is gone. No loud noises or icky blood. Just poof! Or at least, that's what the other Liliths did.."
  84. <ThePolice> Lilith holds tightly to Wendy, smiling, and lays her head on her shoulder enjoying their embrace, as Jan excitedly rambles on.
  85. <SavanahHolland> Wendy looks horrified "I can't kill.. Lilith..." and if you listened in, you could almost make out the word 'again' strung along with her sentence, so very easy to miss. Wendy looks down into her little Lillies eyes, tears comming back "I'm scared... that it'll hurt her.."
  86. <ThePolice> Jan laughs at this, not a soft laugh or a quiet chuckle, a gut wrenching, leave you out of breath, laugh. He drops the basket of muffins, letting them spill to the ground. After a few moments, he regains his composure, with great effort, and he wipes away a few tears, that somehow escaped him. He looks up to Wendy again, sure to make eye contact.
  87. <ThePolice> "I don't make dreams that feel things anymore, so don't worry. It wont cry if you kill it!"
  88. <SavanahHolland> Wendy looks at him with her gunmetal eyes, the same blue the girl always had, though somewhat red from the tears. "I.. I can't kill her myself.. p-please.." she leans in to her little loving flower's ear, despite the message never getting to the real ones heart. She whispers almost silent "I love you." she smiles softly at the girl, then at Jan, letting her go and stepping back as the tears still fall so quietly.
  89. <ThePolice> Jan mocks surprise as Wendy offers up Lilith to him, as if it wasn't clear she could never do it herself. She isn't a good boy like Jan, who does what needs to be done. "Are you sure? Its not really alive anyway, are you sure you don't want to keep it as like, a coat-rack or something?" He says dejectedly, "I don't like wasting the nice things I make."
  90. <ThePolice> He spares a look towards dream Lilith, before continuing to Wendy.
  91. <ThePolice> "Besides, I dont think you want to watch."
  92. <SavanahHolland> Wendy looks apologetically to Jan, shaking her head softly "I- I have someone else.. that's more important than.. this Lilith.. I- I'm sorry.. I- I'm sorry to waste h-her.." she looks down, away from the boy, tears still comming but less often. Her voice strained "I.. I will watch.."
  93. <ThePolice> Jan dead pans, at her words, standing slowly, a frown, and guilty look coming over him. "I hope this gives you some closure. Lilith is in a better place now." He says, as he walks over the muffins, and past the girl, to dream Lilith, who holding her hands together is giving a longing but sad look to Wendy.

  113. <ThePolice> For a few moments it does nothing, staring terrified to space, before it begins to rapidly wither, growing older and older, its hair falling and disappearing before it hits the floor, its face withering like a corpse before it bursts like a balloon under pressure, sending dust across Jans clothes and floor.
  114. <ThePolice> Slowly he stands, and walking past Wendy picks up another blueberry muffin to eat.
  115. <SavanahHolland> Wendy falls to the floor, now on her knees, looking at the spot that was covered in dust from her love, lost again. Her facial expressions going back to nothing besides the tears that still fall, mumbling to herself, you can only hear little broken peices 'better' 'place' 'free'.
  116. <ThePolice> Jan stands over her now, emotionless, eating his muffin slowly, savoring the wheat and the sugar. He smiles softly seeing her make peace with Lilith, 'She must be so happy.'
  117. <SavanahHolland> Wendy moves the back of her hand to wipe the warm tears off her face, stumbling up and looking to Jan with a small smile, saying it so quietly that it almost looks like she's only mouthing it "Thank you.."
  118. <ThePolice> "Yea! No problem." He says taking another bite of his muffin. "Can I help you with other stuff?"
  119. <SavanahHolland> Wendy takes a shaking breath, as if she were trying to form a laugh, shaking her head "N-no.. You've done more than enough to help me.. I wish I could somehow make it up to you.."
  120. <ThePolice> Jan continues to eat his muffin as he sits back down on the bed and stares up at her. "You could let me use your dreams I suppose. Plenty of people want things, but I cant use my own dreams." He says as he takes another bite of his muffin, "Or you could kill me."
  121. <SavanahHolland> Wendy's eyes go wide as she looks to him, confused and horrified at the same time "Kill... you..?"
  122. <ThePolice> Jan takes another bite of his blueberry muffin, and pops his tongue loudly. "Yea, you could kill me, and then I don't have to wait!" He says, as he swallows, a sincere smile coming over him. "I always wanted to go to the place dreams come from, but Mr Hennessy says I'm not allowed to kill myself. But you could do it couldn't you?"
  123. <ThePolice> He smiles up at her, crumbs of many muffins upon his hoodie betraying how thin he was beneath.
  124. <SavanahHolland> Wendy's breath catches, her eyes going so much wider "I- I can't kill you..!" she stumbles back, taking a deep breath to calm herself "Y-you can use my dreams.. b-but I can't /kill/ you.."
  125. <ThePolice> Jan frowns at her, "Then why even ask about it. You confuse me. Anyway, just let me use your dreams when I ask, thats all I want. I like dreams, and sometimes it might help people." He says as he stands up and brushes himself off.
  126. <SavanahHolland> Wendy nods slowly, "You can use my dreams, I owe you anyways.." she stands up in full, looking around the room "Should I get going?"
  127. <ThePolice> Jan nods. "Yea, I'm gonna go explore. Unless you want to be in here alone."
  128. <SavanahHolland> Wendy shakes her head, moving up to him to give him a small hug from the side "I really mean it.. thanks.." she says, then letting go from the very brief hug to open the door, escorting herself out with a small 'goodbye'.
