- Saizou: …..hmph, hey you ploughing the field.
- Mozume: Ah, I’m Mozume, Saizou-san.
- S: From what I can see you just started ploughing that field right? What do you plan on growing?
- M: A few different things. As long as I look after the soil I can grow things like potatoes and rooted vegetables easily…I could grow some greens as well.
- S: I see… If there’s anything I can help with, let me know.
- M: Do you like farming too Saizou-san?
- S: Because my hometown… the shinobi village was in the mountains, it was fundamental to be self-sufficient. Farming was part of shinobi training, so I was often told to help out.
- M: Is that so. I’m glad there’s someone that I can relate to here.
- S: You won’t last long growing vegetables in a field alone. Don’t hold back if you need a hand. I’ll round up some people for you.
- M: Thank you Saizou-san. I’ll take you up on that offer.
- S: Alright.
- B SUPPORT:
- S: Mozume. All that cooking tasted good.
- M: Not at all Saizou-san. You’re flattering me too much. If we were back in my village anyone could have made it.
- S: Don’t be so modest. At the least to me the meal was nostalgic…. and had a gentle flavour.
- M: Is it similar to that of your home town?
- S: Yes, it’s simple and light... but it’s a taste that’s well balanced. While the meals in Hoshido have a very heavy flavour. I prefer this though.
- M: Oh yes I agree! I thought it had a heavy flavour…. as well.
- S: Could it be because the seasoning used in the country and city are different? … Mozume… if it’s possible, could I come over and eat with you again?
- M: Of course. After the vegetables are ripe, I’ll let you know.
- S: I look forward to it.
- M: But before that I need to harvest the vegetables so it might take a little longer. Since farming is a lot of work. Well then, don’t hold back and come over for a meal.
- S: Sorry for the trouble.
- A SUPPORT:
- S: Hmm…. it was delicious today as well.
- M: I hope you liked it.
- S: Sorry about this Mozume. I feel like I’ve been coming over for meals every day…. Your cooking really makes me think of my hometown… dish after dish of fine, nostalgic cooking.
- M: Hehe…. If you’re okay with my cooking please come and eat when you’d like. Oh yes, since you’re coming over, next time I’ll make you your favourite dish.
- S: Huh?
- M: What is your favourite dish Saizou?
- S: Hmmm….I’ll eat anything besides things that are sweet… but if I had to pick something it would be boiled fish.
- M: Is that it?
- S: Well the boiled fish from my town is made a little differently. The fish from our rivers are a little bland so we lay vegetables and mushrooms that have a strong flavour on top of it and boil it together.
- M: Ohh…. That would be a lot of work.
- S: Yes, it’s a dish that we have together as a family for dinner… how nostalgic…
- M: I got it. I’m not very confident but I’ll give it a go.
- S: Will you? I’m looking forward to that day.
- M: Heheh… see you soon. I’ll do my best to make this dish for you.
- S SUPPORT
- S: mmmm…. Delicious….
- M: I-is that so? I’m glad…
- S: However… the taste is a little different to that of my hometown….
- M: Huh, r-really? …..I’m sorry Saizou-san. I didn’t make it very well…
- S: No, it doesn’t change the fact it was delicious. However…. Well… you see. It probably tastes different because the special ingredients you can only get from there that aren’t in this.
- M: Special ingredients?
- S: Yes, I don’t know the specifics but it seems that you can only get that taste using the plants from that area.
- M: Is that so.? That’s really interesting. Next time…. If there’s a chance. I’d like to go see your home town.
- S: …..you want to go next time?
- M: Huh? You’ll take me there?
- S: Sure… And I’ll introduce you to everyone, as my wife.
- M: Wh-…..whaaaaatt!?
- S: Mozume…. Will you be my wife?
- M: Uh, well….. what’s this all of sudden? O-of course I’m happy, I’m really happy but…
- S: I thought about the fact that we have so much in common… and gradually I was drawn to you.
- M: I-is that how it is…. yes, I…. like you too Saizou-san.
- S: R-really..!?
- M: Yes, that’s why please take me for sure. To your home town that is.
- S: Of course, when the time comes, think of that place as your own. No… I’ll… make that place your home.
- M: Oh my… Saizou-san. I’m so happy… that I could cry. I thought that I had… lost my home…..wehhhhhh…….
- S: It’s alright Mozume….. I won’t let you feel lonely anymore. From now on please live by my side …Mozume.
- M: Gladly….
