  1. In an environment with hard wood floor paneling or marble floor paneling, you are dependent on the material world beneath you in order to even have the gait you possess gliding or walking across this flooring. You are dependent on the cleaning person who cleans the floor to be able to move across it with the efficiency built into the material's design of the floor. You are dependent on the people in any given setting you come across and the material goods they produce or serve to you in order to "enjoy" yourself in normative and non-normative terms within the context of the "experience" they provide as a service for your consumption or a commodity for your consumption.

  3. The truth is when you pay careful and close attention to your surroundings you can see numerous dependencies and it is the function of technology to reduce dependency of any sort, but if technology is not manufactured in a way that is mindful of the amount of carbon it outputs this process will inevitably produce a situation through industrial production that we now find ourselves in; wherein which we have all of these wonderful gadgets, for warfare and civilian applications but this has kicked up carbon into the atmosphere which means that the food chain will collapse if we are not mindful of how this process occurs.

  5. In truth technology within Capitalism provides the illusion we can be "independent" from the Machine that makes up our Planet in animate and inanimate terms. This Machine and it's laws garnered in and around it does not care about the inhabitants one iota; it merely responds to feedback given to it within the constraints of the laws that govern it and will work to produce a balance that crushes any inhabitants that do not respect the laws which govern it and the cosmos that surrounds and interpenetrates it and the inhabitants thereupon. The idea we are going to be saved by technology is itself an illusion because this illusion isn't a sustainable one, and climate change and it's effects will bring more to bear on this topic in the coming years and decades. We either create a more sustainable environment from which to produce technology in more measured and socio-ecoonmically responsible ways or we will suffer, and there are those (Hive Aliens) who do not view the mentality that technology will save us from carbon output and the climate change it's producing by virtue of merely greater efficiency of operations as anything other than the destructive Kardashev Imperialism it connotates, and this mentality will thus not be allowed offworld to manifest in other places.

  7. It's not that there is a Gaia, it's that the Cosmos just doesn't really care one way or another about those that violate it's laws; when a house burns down, the flames licking it will not care how you feel about your house or anyone that was trapped inside. It will merely operate according to the laws of nature producing it until the desired consumption is fulfilled, at which point you will then ideally obtain a vantage point from which to QQ about your burned down house. Theories of Gaia will not save your house, prayers to deities will not save your house, even technology will not save your house if it is not sufficient for the task at hand. No, nothing will save your house from the flames, and it's like this with all of the laws of nature.

  9. The idea that Humanity is above the Laws of Nature is itself an infantile illusion produced by the idea Technology makes us the independent masters of our existence, ready to tame a Cosmos that will yield to us. In reality, through Climate Change, Humanity will be forced to yield to the Cosmos. And the Cosmos will not care about how Special and Chosen we think we are, in terms of religion, in terms of spirituality, in terms of character and virtue and how much illusory "control" we will feel over how we feel in response to the breakdown of Society. All the Cosmos will care about is grinding up the food chain and making sure Humanity is extinct, but not because it has a conscious agent, but because the Cosmos is an evil machine that is the most efficient at making sure life will not survive in biological forms whenever it is possibly to erase it. Evil is the absence of Good and if we define the Good as the continued existence and tranquility of Sapient and Sentient beings then the Cosmos is the Evilest Machine there is, existing for the sole purpose of disturbing this continued existence and tranquility in Epicurean terms, of any of the Conscience Actors within it's system.
