- Might-Have-Been
- Creation is awash with possibility; when a baby is born, what will it grow up to be? Hero or just another member of the crowd? Hero or villian? Big or small? If you could go back, make a different choice, what a different person you might be.
- Of course, the nature of Creation is that you cannot go back, time stands inviolate, you cannot change a creature's past. But the world pays less attention to objects, and their least gods have, so it is possible to persuade a sword that it was never forged as a sword, that it was a shovel, a crowbar, an axe or a khatar.
- The Might-Have-Been's forging was never finished. Or was finished a thousand times. Either way, it stands at the point of possibility; it is a tool, that much definition was put into it. But it could be anything, any tool you need.
