  3. | ~ To the Lord Architect, Blessed of the First ~ |
  4. | =========================================== |

  6. | |
  7. | Hail, my Lord, |
  8. | |
  9. | I trust this short letter finds You in good |
  10. | spirits, despite the intent I am sure You can |
  11. | already anticipate through my haggard script |
  12. | and hesitant prose. |
  13. | |
  14. | The coming of the Lady Isune is a joyous |
  15. | occasion indeed, and I am sure You are quite |
  16. | pleased with the reception She has received |
  17. | by Your city and following alike. However, I |
  18. | fear this comes with action on my part that |
  19. | You may not be wholly approving of, despite |
  20. | my wish to apologize profusely for ages to |
  21. | come. |
  22. | |
  23. | As You know, I am not a man of great talent |
  24. | when it concerns matters that are of Your own |
  25. | purview, notably delegation and the practice |
  26. | of law. While I do understand the purpose |
  27. | behind Your Foundations, and strive to note |
  28. | their presence in my own life, I am simply |
  29. | not meant to serve as your Arbiter. |
  30. | |
  31. | I have not served You as I had intended at |
  32. | Your coming, and find myself unworthy of even |
  33. | the slightest consideration of not having my |
  34. | my life utterly snuffed beneath Your thumb as |
  35. | if a candle's flame. I can only beg for Your |
  36. | mercy, and pray that You will allow me to try |
  37. | once more to live up to expectations I have |
  38. | set before myself, as a follower of the Lady |
  39. | Isune. |
  40. | |
  41. | This is my calling, I am fully certain. It |
  42. | is with much regret that I write this now, as |
  43. | I joined Your Labourers already as one who |
  44. | had abandoned another Elder in the stead of a |
  45. | more freshly-awakened. It is with a heavy |
  46. | heart that I do this, despite our not having |
  47. | been very close. You will continue to have my |
  48. | full support as Lord Patron of the Common- |
  49. | wealth, for I still believe that You are the |
  50. | pinnacle of all that Hallifax should strive |
  51. | to embody. This will not change, come what |
  52. | may. |
  53. | |
  54. | I do not wish to spurn Your favour, but I |
  55. | believe You will agree that this path is the |
  56. | one more suited to my own abilities and |
  57. | talents. I must follow my heart, as silly as |
  58. | it is to say as a Citizen of Your Hallifax. |
  59. | Again, I apologize. If You should think me |
  60. | unfit to live, I will harbour no animosity. |
  61. | |
  62. | Farewell, my Lord. You have many followers |
  63. | who are more able to preach Your word, and |
  64. | are more worth the investment than myself. I |
  65. | wish You the best as You continue to stand as |
  66. | the pinnacle of our society. |
  67. | |
  68. | In humility, |
  69. | Eritheyl Windwhisper |
  70. | |
