  1. Ghosts
  2. Dare to enter the haunted house of Ghosts. You'll find all kinds of ghosts, some scarier than others.
  3. Keep calm and know to use ectoplasm to your advantage to scare your opponents. If ghosts become too intrusive, use the mirror to return to your neighbor or take advantage of the fog to hide yourself.
  4. Overcome your fear so you don’t flee because in the end of the game, the one who is the least frightened triumph of the house and its opponents!
  5.
  6. Equipment
  7. 60 cards: 6 families from 9 ghosts cards with 3 different fear levels (1, 2 and 3) and 6 Haze cards.
  8. 16 markers value Fear 1 (front) or 3 (back).
  9.
  10. Goal of the game
  11. Being the player the least frightened (who has the least Fear points) at the end of the game.
  12.
  13. Unwinding of a game
  14. A game consists of 3 rounds.
  15. For the first round, the first player is the last to have seen a ghost.
  16. For the following rounds, the first player will be the neighbor to the left of the first player in the previous round.
  17.
  18. Preparation of the game
  19. Each player begins the game with 1 Fear point (FP). Each takes 1 scoring Fear and puts before him side "1" visible.
  20. The remaining markers form Fear Reserve.
  21.
  22. Preparation of the game
  23. The first player shuffles all cards and give 5 of them to each player. These cards are taken in hand. The remaining cards are placed face down on the table to form the Deck.
  24. If a player's hand is composed only of Haze cards, then shuffle again with the Deck and gets 5 cards.
  25.
  26. How to play ?
  27. Turn based, clockwise direction.
  28. The first player chooses a Ghost card of his hand, places it face up in the center of the table to form a Discard pile and announces aloud the degree of fear. This corresponds, for the moment, the number of ghosts on the card it poses.
  29. The next player chooses a card from his hand and places it face up on the Discard pile.
  30. Three scenarios are possible:
  31. 1. New Family
  32. If the card is that it poses a ghost card of a different color than the last Ghost card played, he announce aloud the new level of terror, calculate by adding the number of ghosts present on his card to the degree of terror announced by the previous player.
  33. Example: Franck put a card with 3 yellow ghosts. Sabine pose over a card with 2 red ghosts, announces: "5" (3 + 2).
  34.
  35. 2. mirror
  36. If the card is that it poses a Ghost of the same color map as the last card played ghost, he announced loudly the same degree of fear that the precedent followed by the word "mirror". This indicates that the direction of play is reversed (between clockwise and counterclockwise).
  37. Example: In part 3, Franck put a card with 3 yellow ghosts. Sabine pose over a card with one yellow ghost. So she announces: "3 mirror" and that is to play Franck (not Max).
  38. Note: 2 players, the word mirror is not announced as ineffective: in this configuration, play the same color card allows just iron hand to the other player without increasing the degree of fear.
  39.
  40. 3. Fog
  41. If the card is that it poses a Fog card, he announces aloud the same degree of fear that followed the previous mist word to indicate that he passes his turn. Fog card is placed next to the pile of discarded cards and not on top so you always see the color of the last Ghost card previously played.
  42. Example: Franck put a card with 3 yellow ghosts. Sabine asks a Fog card next to the map of Franck and announces: "3 fog."
  43. Important: the degree of fear can’t exceed 7!
  44. If the player whose turn it is can’t not or will not play a card, he must take the cards in the Discard pile in the center of the table and place it face down in front him (no charge!).
  45. It also takes 1 FP Reserve.
  46. Then it is for him to play again maintaining the same direction (clockwise and counterclockwise).
  47. The new played Ghost card shows the new level of fear.
  48. At the end of his turn, and whatever the case, the player takes a Deck card to replenish his 5-card hand. When the deck is exhausted, the set continues until a player can no longer play because he has no cards in hand.
  49.
  50. End of round
  51. The round ends immediately when a player starts his turn with no cards in hand. All other players discard the remaining cards in their hand center of the table. These cards are ignored, as well as those of the Discard current pile.
  52. If a player has made no FP (and therefore no Discard pile) during this round, he can put up to 3 of its FP in the Reserve.
  53. Other players retain their FP.
  54. Reminder: The game ends at the end of the 3rd round.
  55.
  56. Endgame and victory
  57. The player who managed to control his fright with the least of FP is the winner! (Tie possible).
  58. Example of an early round: Franck, Sabine, Max and Thierry begin a game. Franck is the first player since he has just seen a ghost!
  59. Franck plays a card with 2 red ghosts and announces "2" then draws a card. Sabine plays with a yellow card with three ghosts and announces "5" (2 + 3) and then draws a card. Max then plays a card with 2 yellow ghosts and announces "5, Mirror" (the same color as the previous card) and then draws a card.
  60. The direction of play is reversed, so it's player Sabine. She plays a card with 2 blue ghosts and announces "7" (5 + 2) and then draws a card. Franck plays a Fog card and announces "7 fog" and then draws a card. Thierry plays a card with 1 blue ghost and announces "7 Mirror" (the same color as the previous card) and then draws a card.
  61. Franck has neither Fog card or blue card in hand. He can’t play another card since it would exceed 7.
  62. He is therefore obliged to take the Discard pile. He put it in front of him and takes 1 FP from the Reserve. Then he asks a new card, announces the new level of fear, draws a card and so on.
