  1. This is probably going to be long, it's going to be real as fuck, and it's what's currently on my mind.
  2.
  3. I just want to announce as of right now I'm canceling any further plans for DeuceCon this year which includes canceling the online fundraiser. Raising 10k is fucking ridiculous and I don't want to take that on, it's too much. Sorry if you were planning on hanging out. My heart isn't in it and I don't want to half ass my way through expanding the event into a big venue.

  6. Long story short I'm about done. I walked outside in a shitty little park with my homie and was more happy than I've been for a long time sitting in front of my computer. I had the realization today that over the last couple years more people have met me as Deuceler than as Jason and I don't dig that at all. I love speedrunning, I love video games, but I just think it's time to move on to other things. Once my goals have been met in Musashi I'll be walking away. I'm not talking about taking a break, I'm talking about disappearing and being gone.

  8. To be honest I think a lot of it is the entire attitude and stigma that surrounds the community. There is so much fucking negativity, entitlement, and laziness it's ridiculous. It's really tiring to listen to people I don't know bitch about fabricated problems that I don't give a fuck about. That's 90% of being a speedrunner. Listening to other people bitch about problems you don't care about. You play the game as to not be an asshole to your peers, but in reality a majority of us don't give a fuck about eachother.

  10. This month marks 4 years that I've been speedrunning. That's a long time to sink into something, especially something that makes me feel real no sense of accomplishment or productivity. I've made a couple friends which is cool, but in the grand scheme of things I probably won't talk to many of you ever again. It's been real dudes, thanks for some good times. Hopefully I can bop Japan in a few weeks.
  11.
  12. Stay cool,
  13. Jason
