TL Notes/comments:
THIS SONG IS SO PRETTY so naturally, I wanted to dress up the phrases too. What about this song made Momo burst into tears and touch his heart? I wanted to capture that feeling. Without further ado!
すぼめた肩をそっと抱き寄せよう - 'kata wo subomeru' = when ur shoulders bunch up when ur cold, or fall when ur sad
美しいゆらめきを - 'light' is assumed, 'wavers' is technically redundant since a glimmer means a flickery light BUT ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
確かな光にしたい - lit. I want to make it into a certain/unfailing light. i went with the implied meaning here instead.
すれ違うなんて思わずに - just want to note that 'nante' give the surechigau/passing each other by part kind of a 'as if something like _____ would ever happen' or 'a thing like _______' type of connotation!
君の存在があるから - literally 'because of your existence' wHICH is pretty strong but that sounds clunky as hell
でもここに立ってられるのは/今ここに立ってられるのは - NOTE THAT THERE ARE VERY SLIGHT DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THESE TWO LINES!!!! When the two of them sing it, it's "but I wouldn't be standing here w/o you" --> "I wouldn't be standing here right now w/o you"
それぞれの道 - this line upsets me in perspective of the storY
