[C1Sa] Monocle vs. Lyra

"I'm sorry," Lyra mouths.
"No you aren't," Lyregent replies bitterly.  The crown's thorns bite deeper into her skull, sending a fresh wave of blood cascading down her face.
Lyra raises her head as the door to her cell opens.  Tarane, Alex, Nick, and Faerzen stare with various expressions of horror.
Nick clenched a fist as Faerzen slowly shakes his head.  An indescribable girl with a whole lot of weapons steps back outside to void the contents of her stomach.
"You didn't have to do this," Tarane says, her words accusing but her voice concerned.
"What did you do this time?"  Alex laments.
"I..."  Lyra gasps for breath, her heaving lungs in plain view within her vivisected torso.  Lyregent makes an effort to reach towards the others, but can't escape the rebar nailing her limbs to the wall.
