ToE Chapter 1-2

>As you follow Applejack into Ponyville, you get a closer look at the many houses. They're somewhat smaller than most houses, but they sure look nice and cozy.
>And then, you notice the residents.
>They're all ponies.
>And they're so... colourful.
>A cream pony with a blue and pink mane. A grey pony with a yellow mane. There are so many...
>...And, what's more, some of these ponies have wings, or horns. Though, about half of them seem to lack both, like Applejack.
>And each has a unique mark on their flank...
>They depict candy, flowers, musical notes and more.
>Applejack herself has three red apples.
>Some of the ponies who've noticed you are whispering amongst themselves, while others just stare. A few ponies offer a small, nervous smile.
>"Don't let their silence bother yeh', Anon. These ponies are just a lil' shy around folks they aint' seen before."
"So I see."
>You now notice that one pony in particular, has a unique reaction. A mint-green unicorn with a light cyan mane, is staring at you intensely with two orange eyes. And she looks very happy to see you, judging by the smile on her face.
>Hm.

>A few minutes later, you leave the most populated part of town, and come to a grassy area with a huge tree in the center.
>Upon close inspection, the tree seems to have a door, and some windows.
>...Does someone live there?
>Applejack stops momentarily.
>"That there tree..."
>She points to the tree with her right foreleg.
>"...Is mah buddy Twahlite's house. She's about the smartest pony Ahv ever known, so if there's any pony who can help yah out, it'd be her."
>Says Applejack, with admiration.
>You both resume walking towards the tree house.


>"And here we are".

>You and Applejack both walk up to the tree's door.
>The door is red, and bares the image of a candle. It's rather small, for you at least, being of course a door for ponies.
>To the right of the door, is a sign with an open book on it. Perhaps this is a Library?
>Applejack gently knocks on the door with her forehoof.
>"Twahlite? Twahlite? Yah home?".
>You hear a voice from inside.
>"Just a minute, AJ."
>You can hear various noises from the other side of the door. It sounds like books are being shelved, and a brush is hastily sweeping the floor.
>Then, footsteps. Or, hoofsteps, rather.
>The doorknob turns, and the door swings open.

>You're greeted by a little, smiling, purple unicorn.
>"Hey AJ, what's up?"
>She says, before noticing you.
>"Oh..."
>Her smile fades, and she begins scanning you with her violet eyes. You can tell she's not afraid, just very surprised, and unsure about what exactly it is she's looking at.
>"Hiya, Twahlite. This fella here's Anonymous. Yah see, Anon here seems tah be good and lawst, and Ah figured ya'd be able tah tell him where abouts he is, and how he could find his way back home."
>Twilight's smile returns as quick as it left.
>"Sure, I'd be glad to help. I just finished cleaning, and my schedule is free for the next couple of hours so it's no trouble..."
>"Ahl' righty then. Ah've gotta go, Twah, yah know, for the market an' all... Otherwise Ah'd have hung around for a while..."
>"Well, Anon, Ah wish ya' the best o' luck gettin' home."
"Thank you, Miss Applejack, for your help. I won't forget it."
>Applejack smiles, looking pleased to have helped you. She starts to walk away, then pauses.
>"Oh, and Twahlite, any luck findin' yer owl?
>She asks.
>"I'm afraid not... but I'm sure he'll turn up soon. He's only been missing a day..."
>Says Twilight, with some measure of uncertainty.
>Applejack continues on her way to the market. The wheels of her cart turn once again, creaking as they rotate.
>"Hi, Anonymous. I'm Twilight Sparkle. Pleased to meet you!"
>The purple pony says, with a gentle smile.
>"Why don't you come inside and I'll show you some maps?"
"Of course, Miss Twilight. Thank you."
>You duck under the door frame, and follow Twilight inside.
