  1. Ok, Lando, this is about the RNG related to Hidden Abilities in Brick-Bronze and how you have chosen not to allow the 60%-80% chance to successfully breed a HA from a Pokemon that already has it. I was informed from a reliable source that your reasoning for this is because you don't want HA to become really common in Brick-Bronze. So let me make this as clear as crystal (pun intended).
  2.
  3. HA are supposed to be harder-to-obtain abilities which are (usually) a little to a lot better than the normal abilities available to that Pokemon. They require a lot of hard work to obtain, however you're rewarded with that better ability and the option to bread others more easily. This means if you're Pokémon isn't quite how you want it, for example you got a HA with the wrong nature (while trying to get the nature you want) you don't have to worry too much because you can get another more easily.
  4.
  5. This allows players who want to experience the full game (and yes it is only a minor part, but a part nonetheless) to do so even if they're a more casual player. It helps bridge the gap between hardcore and casual by allowing both parties an equal chance at a semi-rewarding feature with a high, but fair, cost. Alternatively it encourages trading and community engagement by allowing friends or acquaintances to trade HA Pokémon to help each other out.
  6.
  7. By removing this ease-of-access feature (of the increased chance from breeding a Pokemon that already has the HA), you essentially limit an aspect of the game to only a percentage of players who have far greater amounts of time to play. People who are good at the game but lack the time to do this, lose out. They become disadvantaged in the competitive scene purely because they lack the time and energy to pour so much effort into the game. On top of this you further divide the community by making a purchasable pass that halves the time needed (on average since it's still up to RNG) but that only another percentage of people can afford.
  8.
  9. Ultimately this excludes certain groups of people from playing the game to it's full potential and disadvantages them in doing so, at least in regards to the competitive battle scene you seem so eager to set-up.
  10.
  11. If you don't believe it's that big a deal, I would point out the following (assume all Pokemon have the same movesets/stats)
  12.
  13. Talonflame w/Flame Body VS. Talonflame w/Gale Wings
  14. Blaziken w/Blaze VS. Blaziken w/Speed Boost
  15. Serperior w/Contrary VS. Serperior w/Overgrow
  16.
  17. I could name far more but you get my point.
