  2. Winter Fair
  3. In a far away land there is a town where animals walk, talk and have fun all year long. In this town there is usually a fair, a fair of great proportions with fabulous prizes and the fact that it takes place during the season of winter makes it even more special with the added feeling of cheer and jolly during that time of the year. This fair is usually planned by Mayor Tortimer , who has grew old and decided to live on a Tropical island. Since he is no longer the mayor of the town he had to be replaced and that made the citizens wonder about the future status of the Winter Fair. Everyone was wondering how this new mayor would plan out this special event that only occurs once every year.
  4. One early morning the new mayor wakes up and goes to his office in Town Hall. He is immediately greeted by his assistant, Isabelle. "Hi, Mayor! Today is a very special day for you, you know." said Isabelle. The mayor who is a very quiet person by nature (Oh and did I mention that this new mayor is a human?) had a very puzzled look on his face. He had already established a ordinance to keep the town beautiful, he had already built 30 public works projects which he had paid almost all the bells for it straight out of his pocket, he had also established a Police Station and a Café which has the best coffee brewer in the entire world and he even had his town rated as 'perfect'. He had already achieved fullness in the town and there was no way at all that there could be anything more special than what he had already done in the past. How could what he is about to hear be ANY more special than what he had already did? He was puzzled for quite a moment until his secretary finally begun to speak again. "Usually I am the one who organizes all the events in town, but I am really sad that you as the mayor has never gotten the opportunity to actually organize a real event yourself. I have all along organized everything from since you arrived here on the train. I organized Franklin to come for the Harvest Festival, Jack for Halloween, Jingle for Toy Day, and Pavé, but you never had the chance to chose who should come or what events we should have." The mayor had a very exited look on his face and immediately begun to think of things to do for the Winter Festival which was coming up very soon.
  5. Early morning came again and he went around the town asking everyone what they would want at the fair. He was not the most imaginative person, after all, all of his public works projects were given to him to do by the residents and the ordinances were preset so he didn't have much an idea of what to do. All he really did was plant trees, flowers, bushes and went on island vacations earning medals for rare unorderable goodies and meeting up with other humans at the International Island. He first went to Cyrano, his best friend in the entire town. As the mayor went to Cyrano's house he could hear his snoozing all the way from across the road, he was a really heavy sleeper. He opened the door to his room and walked in and woke up his best friend. At first Cyrano was a little upset about being woken up from his sleep but after hearing that his best friend was organizing the greatest event in the town he was very enthusiastic and Cyrano immediately began pouring out his heart full of ideas to the Mayor, or to him, his best friend.
  6. "There should be fireworks! There should also be one in the shape of ME. Hahaha." said Cyrano. He continued, "You know what else we should have. We should have a food stall! There will be all kinds of food, fit for the greatest anteater in this town. And you know what else, you should invite my favorite videogame hero, Link. It will be the greatest fair EVER!" The mayor reflected on what all Cyrano wanted. He then realized that he had no funds to carry out the event. After Mayor Tortimer left office, the Town Hall no longer accepted donations. Donations would only be given when there is a Public Works Project. The Mayor would need to take all the bells out of his own pocket. However, he began to wonder how Isabelle supplied things for events. She wasn't payed any bells and the only time she ever left Town Hall was to drink coffee or to check out on Public Works Projects. After pondering, and listening to Pondering by K.K. Slider to think of ideas, he immediately got the greatest idea ever. He had had a Oil Drilling Rig built in the town so he assumed that Isabelle got funds by selling oil to other towns so he immediately consulted Isabelle to get permission to do so (which is very ironic since he is the Mayor). He was granted permission and within a week he had shipped over 10 billion bells worth of oil to another town. That may seem like a lot but for a big even as the Winter Fair it is quite normal to spend that amount on the fair.
  7. The Mayor now has one problem off his back, he has the money to provide for what Cyrano wants (or at least the things that can be payed for) and most likely has the money to buy the stuff the other villagers want and most importantly what HE wants. He now goes to the other villagers in the town and even his secretary to find out what they want to be in the fair. He then began to write a list of the things that everyone wanted to be part of the fair because it eventually became too much and he needed to make sure that the budget could get everything in the town in time for the fair (which did I mention is only two weeks away?).
  8. "Winter Fair Wants:
  9. - Fireworks in various shapes and colors
  10. - Food Stall
  11. - Link (a.k.a. some other human in a costume)
  12. - Prize Booth with games that you can earn tickets
  13. - Colorful Decorations
  14. - The Town Tree to become a Christmas Tree
  15. - Statue of Jitters (Why would Jitters even want this for the fair? But he already paid for it so...)
  16. - Video Game Contest for Virtual Boy, GameCube, TableTop Mario, Mario Fighters and Wii Fit
  17. - Grand Raffle of 100 million bells"
  18. There was even more things that the villagers wanted, however he ran out of paper to write on and had to rely on his memory to remember to get most of the things for the fair.
  19. Two days before the fair a tragedy occurs. A raging snowstorm of great proportions has spread across the land. Snow has risen up to 6 inches and all train trips are cancelled. The special visitors cannot visit the town and visitors from other towns cannot visit this town. Every begins to cry and mourn in their homes. The Winter Fair, the most anticipated event of the year, has been ruined by snow. However, during the storm four snowpeople seemed to have formed. They identified them self as Snowman, Snowboy, Snowmam and Snowtyke. These snowpeople had a plan, they too wanted to join in on the festivities and would do whatever it takes for this fair to go on. Obviously, they couldn't do anything about the weather but they could make the most of it. Each snow person had a special talent or had things to offer. The snowman was the master of Bingo, he could form bingo cards from thin air and could use his eyes as a sort of machine for bingo numbers. Snowmam could take snowflakes and turn them into a rare series of Ice furniture. Snowboy could create Snowman themed furniture and Snowtyke was a giver of gifts if one completes tasks. They thought to themselves to use their talents to create a great fair. The snowpeople couldn't move however, that was their problem. However, somehow they could send letters, and they don't even have hands...
  20. The mayor woke up the next day, he was very depressed for failing his duty. The blizzard was still storming outside and it was one day before the fair. He looked back on his list of what the villagers wanted. The mayor thought to himself, "Hmm. So Cyrano wants fireworks. He couldn't see it in all the clouds anyways. Food Stall, hmm how can I do this? The food would be all frozen and cold, plus since the special visitors can't come who will make the food and plus they have the heating equipment. Link? Please, that bear sure is a dreamer, but I think I could have someone wear the Hero's clothes I got from a Fortune Cookie from the T&T Emporium. Let's see what else a prize booth, I can't leave this town for foreign goods and plus the seas have frozen up so even if by chance that birdbrain Gulliver washed ashore he wouldn't land anywhere near this town. Colorful decorations? I could probably stay up and make that. The town tree to be a Christmas tree? Oddly that happened by itself... Statue of Jitte-, moving on. Video game contest huh? Virtual Boy? Why Virtual Boy? Marcel really is a fan of commercial failures, and it failed for a reason, does this guy have a mental issue, ugh, doesn't he watch that stupid polka-dot television of his enough to know that the Nintendo 3DS is a much better 3D game device? I had one once and the only reason I did is because Timmy was giving away his junk that didn't sell in his Fortune Cookies. He sees red in my future? I see red in his too." The mayor was getting really fussed up thinking about the fair ahead and he continued to think to himself, "GameCube huh? I liked that. I have a couple games for that system. We can all get together have a fun time inside my home and play some Mario Kart Double Dash or maybe Super Smash Bros. Melee. TableTop Mario and Mario Fighters? Those Mario wannabes that Timmy and Tommy are always selling. Those are even more shameless that those Mario ripoffs that I saw on the Google Store on my laptop. Wii Fit isn't bad but DOESN'T THESE ANIMALS EVEN KNOW ABOUT UPGRADED HARDWARE!? EVERY PERSON WITH SENSE KNOWS THAT WII FIT U IS TONS BETTER! At least I'm the mayor and can keep all of the remainder monies, after all Tortimer was involved in many scandals why can't I?" The mayor eventually decided to go outside to see if the blizzard had calmed down, which it didn't. He did though see mail in his mail box. He had two letters, the first one read:
  21. "To our loyal customer,
  22. Visit a Nintendo Zone today with your Nintendo 3DS and receive a free Food Stall inclusive of all the food of course. Be reminded to turn on StreetPass the next time you leave your town! We will download your Nintendo 3DS information and transport it to your nearest Post Office.
  23. From your Helpful Company."
  24. The other one read:
  25. "Dear Mayor,
  26. I know all about your dilemma, but we have found a solution to your problem. Who needs special visitors? Who needs Pavé, Jingle or anybody else? You have us: Snowman, Snowmam, Snowboy and Snowtyke. We will help you with the fair. We have currently dissolved into snowballs. To create me, the Snowman, roll 2 large sized snowballs together. I shall help you with the fair games. You can also create more generic Snowmen out of the snow. Normally you cannot do it but seeing the intensity of the blizzard it sure can happen now. What will we the Snowmen do? BINGO! I, the main man, will give out Bingo Cards and the other generics can give out Bingo Numbers. We have this magical eye thing that generates bingo numbers. The snowmam will start a scavenger hunt, every 3 snowflakes is an ice furniture. Then you can find someone to host a Snowboy building contest. I can enclose an area with snow for you, after I'm built of course, and I will put Snowboy's essence into the snow and whoever makes a perfect Snowboy is rewarded with rare Snowman furniture. And last but not least Snowtyke can be the ticket redeemer guy. There could be a couple of contests (you should organize that yourself) and he will give out furniture for each ticket. How does that sound? You better get started, the fair is tomorrow.
  27. From your frozen friends."
  28. The mayor began thinking again, "I can change my wi-fi's SSID to "attwifi" and I can cheat my way to that Food Stall. There's one problem gone. And these Snowmen have really saved the fair for me. I better start working!" The Mayor got out his Megaphone which he saw useless all along and the quiet mayor began to shout, "The Fair is tomorrow, get ready, the fair is STILL on!" He heard the screams of all the villagers and was proud. He changed his settings, got a fake streetpass, and ran to the Post office where he picked up his DLC Food Stall. He then built the Snowman and his generic kind. The snowman said, "Good Luck, Mayor!" The mayor smiled and begun building the others.
  29. All the snowpeople were built and the basics of the fair was placed. There was a bingo game, a collect-a-thon, a building contest, a food stall, and a ticket redeem station. The mayor also started a photography contest where every 10 minutes there will be a prize for best photo taken. The fair was set up and all was good. He was quite saddened that all the wants off the villagers would not be fulfilled, but he could fulfill about two or three. He had a food stall, he had a human villager dress up as Link, he had a prize booth, the tree was ALREADY decorated, he could host a video game contest in his house (and could also provide tickets), and he could have the raffle. The mayor said to himself, "Wait! This isn't a two or three. This is almost all the requests that I remembered that actually made sense."
  30. The day of the fair came and everyone celebrated. The mayor's best friend, Cyrano, was bummed out. He had no fireworks. Then the Mayor remembered that Isabelle had some leftover from the Fireworks Shows in August and he immediately had it set up in the plaza. He set it off with a message, "We did it!". After that the fair went on, and everyone had a good time!
  31.
  32. The End.
