  1. Gentlemen,
  2.
  3. As we've all spoke before, Growth and Development is going to take time. That is the challenge, that is the quest. In Eve, nothing comes easy. After taking some careful consideration, I think there are some things that will help us improve. In order for this to work, we need really three things.
  4.
  5. Loyalty
  6. Investment
  7. Dedication
  8.
  9. When it comes to growing a corp, it is one of the hardest endeavors in the game. First, it takes a VERY special individual to recruit and train prospects. Sadly, the attrition rate is horrible. Maybe 4 out of 20 last three months, then 1 out of that orginal 20 will make it to the six month marker. Second, it is hassle to always have to teach an apprentice from the gound up in the ways of Eve. From my days as a pirate, to my days as an intelligence officer- two things I've grown to understand. You really only need two things from your brothers and sisters to be successful. Loyalty and dedication. The truth is, everyone knows picking up young blood is easy. In fact, their loyalty rarely has to be tested because it is you and your system is all they know. For them to betray that, that really just eliminates them. Let's be honest, it is easier to hire a risky bitter vet, because you don't have to teach them to wipe their ass. It's hard to invest into someone when it could take from the task at hand.
  10.
  11. In Eve, there are really about 6 generations and with it are two massive gaps. The first gap of course is the players of this week vs the players that are now in their teen years of playing. The worst gap and there are many victims, is the Infant players, players 6 months or less old and then the year old players. Most corps, alliances and so on have a skill requirement. On average I'd say, those requirements range from 20 to 30 million SP. Why? Cause the newness has worn off the player. They have lots of BS skills out of the may and they have some sembalance of competence. Unfortunately, you often have "bitter" players or players who really are directionless when you get them at this stage. That is the trade off. Dealing with a noob or a bitter vet. Three of us crossed paths in Nexus. Rich, Evro and I. Evro was new, he got his first job in intel ith Nexus and he's been a monster since. Here we are again today. Once in 2,000 man alliance, to now a 16 man outfit. It's easy to join an organization that is structured and everyone is just filliing roles. It's hard to get it to that point.
  12.
  13. But, wouldn't we be sort of betraying ourselves if we at such a young age embrace elitism and claim we will only deal with a player with X amount of skillpoints? Wasn't there a time Evro and Rich, we all discussed one's character and ambition, their loyalty and drive for our organization to be better? We often mocked and destroyed elitists. They thought they were too good to deal with the noobs. Were complacent and thought they were entitled to their positions or roles. Where is the brotherhood, the comraderie and the game?
  14.
  15. That's the point gentlemen. You all know Rich and I back you. We cracked Black Saints in the mouth. We all agreed it's gonna take time. All of us see and want that end result. We all know where we want this to go. We've done the easy part. now we gotta do it. And we know that won't be tomorrow.
  16.
  17. The point is, let's enjoy our time. All the bullshit will come. Let's fly together, thick as hell. Let's have fun. People want to fuck with one of us, they fuck with us all. Forget all that elitist shit and this that and the other. We take care of our own and we will pick up a few along the way. But it's back to our roots. Back the fundamentals. Those who fly with us is based on their character and their ambition, not whether or not they may be a good fit cause they can fly a fucking Moros. Before we overwhelm ourselves, let's take a step back. Let's play the game and we will bring a few along, no matter the skill. If they fight with us to the end and they are as big of assholes to everyone else, they belong here. Don't get frustrated. We all hated the entrenched politics and elitism. Let's be who we are and do what we do best.
  18.
  19. We have fun at the expense of their fun.
  20.
  21. Keep it simple. Hang tight. Stick together. Let's have fun and if anyone needs something we figure it out... together and we get the shit done.
