Installing Ettercap 0.7.5 for Testing & Development

For developers and testers, heres how to pull down and compile the ettercap_rc branch from the Sourceforge Git repo. In addition to the ettercap source, you'll  need a new version of libnet that supports IPv6.

We'll walk through installing both.

Libnet patch/install
 - git clone git://github.com/sam-github/libnet.git libnet_6
 - cd libnet_6/libnet
 - ./autogen.sh
 - ./configure
 - make && make install

Ettercap RC Branch
 - git clone -b ettercap_rc git://ettercap.git.sourceforge.net/gitroot/ettercap/ettercap ettercap_rc
 - cd ettercap_rc
 - mkdir build && cd build
 - cmake ..
 - make && make install

You can verify your version with ettercap -V, it should show 0.7.5
