  1. MEDICAL EXAMINATION REPORT LOG FOR ARIN ██████ (A.S.)
  2.
  3. Administered by Doctor Robert ████████ (R.T.)
  4. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  5. R.T.: Welcome, Miss ██████. Have a seat. Please Explain the details of your accident.
  6.
  7. *Shuffling. No response.*
  8.
  9. R.T.: Miss ██████, Please explain the details of the accident.
  10.
  11. A.S.: It wasn't an accident, from my understanding.
  12.
  13. R.T.: Stick to protocol, please.
  14.
  15. A.S.: Alright. I was on a station. I got blown up. Now I'm sitting here, looking like an old mummy. When can I get these off, by the way?
  16.
  17. R.T.: Details please, Miss ██████. What Station? Why were you there?
  18.
  19. A.S.: *Sighing.* You're really doing this, aren't you? Damn, Robert. I thought you were one of the few on my side in this.
  20.
  21. R.T.: Details please, Miss ██████.
  22.
  23. *Silence.*
  24.
  25. R.T.: Do I have to remind you of what will happen without your cooperation, Arin?
  26.
  27. A.S.: Station ███-A4-████. ██ ██, 20██
  28.
  29. R.T.: And what occurred on Station ███-A4-████?
  30.
  31. A.S.: Me and my boss recie-
  32.
  33. R.T.: Miss ██████, protocol, please.
  34.
  35. A.S.: **** you, you piece of ****. Me and Sergeant ████ received a distress signal from the aforementioned Station. We went to investigate the situation.
  36.
  37. R.T.: Go on.
  38.
  39. A.S.: I really don't feel comfortable discussing this. Can I have some water?
  40.
  41. R.T.: Go ahead, Miss ██████, but it's been a month. You have to at some point.
  42.
  43. *Sounds of water. Brief silence. Then a sigh.*
  44.
  45. A.S.: I know. We arrived and w-
  46.
  47. R.T.: We as in who, Miss ██████?
  48.
  49. *Loud noise. Sounds of Security Guards rushing in.*
  50.
  51. A.S.: Will you shut the **** up? Let me finish. Any details that you need, let me finish first. You want to hear it, you're going to hear it.
  52.
  53. *Inaudible mumbling. Sounds of Guards stepping out.*
  54.
  55. R.T.: Fine. Fine Arin. Do what you want. It's your *** that's going to suffer for not following protocol.
  56.
  57. A.S.: Thank you. So we arrived at the station and requested permission to dock. We didn't get a response, but hanger ██-B... no ██-B was open, so we reported that and entered.
  58.
  59. R.T.: Yes. That matches the details of the report. Go on.
  60.
  61. A.S.: It was strange that the hanger was just open like that, you know? I mentioned it to Derron, and he agreed. We knew something was wrong before we got on the ship. Well, anyway, when as we were docking, there were no life readings on the radar, so we retracted the ship's sun visor and...
  62.
  63. *A.S. cuts off*
  64.
  65. R.T.: Go on, Arin. It's just you and I here.
  66.
  67. A.S.: Shut up, don't act like you're my friend, Robert. We both know that now. Anyway. First thing we noticed was a ship had crashed. It had looked like it was taking off, then was thrown off balance and bashed into the wall. It was still on, and everything. We could see into the cockpit, and something was moving.
  68.
  69. R.T.: Can you describe what that something was? Was it a pilot?
  70.
  71. A.S.: No. We could see the pilot. Or, at least, what was left of the poor ******.
  72.
  73. R.T.: What do you mean by that, Arin?
  74.
  75. A.S.: I don't like picturing it.
  76.
  77. R.T.: I'm sure you don't. It must have been a very trauma-
  78.
  79. A.S.: Whatever. Half of his head was gone. Like he'd been shot. But anyway, the 'something' that was moving around in the cockpit, I didn't get a good look. It was brown-ish, I guess. And big. I got too distracted by the contents of the hanger, aside from the ship.
  80.
  81. R.T.: What were they?
  82.
  83. *Silence*
  84.
  85. R.T.: Arin, what were they?
  86.
  87. A.S.: Ugh. Body parts, everywhere. Covered in blood. The floor and walls were smeared with blood too.
  88.
  89. R.T.: Do you have any idea what would have caused this?
  90.
  91. A.S.: Not at that moment, but I found out a few moments later. We quickly got out, Derron and I. I... I got a little sick.
  92.
  93. R.T.: Sick as in what?
  94.
  95. A.S.: I... threw up. I had to take my mask off and everything. Derron almost did. Anyway, I'd never seen anything like this. It was terrible. Then, out of nowhere, whatever had been on that ship, must have gotten off. I saw it, and I couldn't act fast enough... and.. and Derron... I think I'm going to get sick. Can I have something?
  96.
  97. *Sounds of shuffling, then retching. Silence.*
  98.
  99. R.T.: Take your time, Arin.
  100.
  101. A.S.: Keep your hands off me, *******.
  102.
  103. *More retching*
  104.
  105. A.S.: Ugh. It's cold.
  106.
  107. R.T.: What? It's perfect temperature in here, Arin.
  108.
  109. A.S.: Not the air. The vomit. It's cold. Anyway. Derron. I saw his arm just literally tear off. I didn't even see anything holding him at first, but then.. this thing appeared. It looked like a ████, or something big like that. It didn't have any fur, though, and it's face was...
  110.
  111. R.T.: Was what?
  112.
  113. A.S.: It was ██████. Like an actual ██████'s face. I didn't get a good look. I opened fire on it. It took my entire magazine, but I killed it.
  114.
  115. R.T.: Did you try and get a closer look?
  116.
  117. A.S.: Hell no. I sent a reinforcement request signal to H.Q. Then, as I was waiting for a response, four more came into the hanger from the corridor on the left. I had reloaded by then. I killed the first two, and had to take Derron's gun. I think he had blacked out from blood loss, and I was too busy keeping them off of us to stem the bleeding... Anyway. I killed the third, and then the fourth escaped after I filled it with the entire clip of my pistol.
  118.
  119. R.T.: And then?
  120.
  121. A.S.: Well, in all that chaos, one had gotten to me, and punched the **** out of my ribs. I could literally feel them crack when he hit me. I started coughing up blood, too, so I think my rib was punctured. So I dragged Derron back to the ship, and closed the door. There were a **** of those things out there at that point. They were trying to get in, but the door was pretty strong, I guess. I sent out a distress signal... And I think I passed out after that.
  122.
  123. R.T.: But the reports say that they found you inside the hanger, out of the ship.
  124.
  125. A.S.: So? I do remember waking up on the floor of the hanger, but it never occurred to be that I had been on the ship beforehand. I did noticed that Derron was dead.
  126.
  127. R.T.: Wait, the Defense Squad was there. Are you telling me you didn't see them?
  128.
  129. A.S.: I saw the report. They confirmed me as dead. ********... But no, I didn't see them. When I came to, there was a thirty second countdown. I had no ******* idea what was going on. All I knew is I had to get Derron and I on our ship and the **** off that station. So, I did. Somehow, I dragged him to it, and then... I remember a bright flash, and then the hottest thing I've ever felt. Like I threw myself on the sun. The ship's door closed behind me, and I blacked out again. When I came to, the ship was heavily damaged, but operable. My suit was burned away, and I was covered in blood.
  130.
  131. R.T.: And you sent out a transmission?
  132.
  133. A.S.: I did?
  134.
  135. R.T.: You did. Yes. Would you like to hear it?
  136.
  137. A.S.: I'd rather not. Back to my story. I got to HQ shortly after, and they patched me all up. Then I was put in a cell, like a criminal. I've not seen my family, nor heard from them. I've not seen Derron. I've not seen another human outside of this place. I don't even know where we are right now. It doesn't look like HQ.
  138.
  139. R.T.: It's not important right now Arin. Are you ready to get to the second part of the examination?
  140.
  141. A.S.: Yes. I guess so.
  142.
  143. R.T.: Have you been experiencing any odd symptoms?
  144.
  145. A.S.: Yes.
  146.
  147. R.T.: What are they?
  148.
  149. A.S.: I vomit a lot. I get bad migraines. I don't have any feeling in the left side of my face or neck.
  150.
  151. R.T.: That's understandable, the last one. All your nerves have been burned away from the explosion. Any... very unusual symptoms?
  152.
  153. *Shuffling. Sounds of fingers tapping.*
  154.
  155. A.S.: Yes. I.. can see things now. Things that I couldn't before. Well. I don't think it's with my eyes. Maybe it's feel. I can feel that there's six people on the other side of this wall, listening. I can feel that there's two guards, armed with anti-extra terrestrial rifles outside of this room.
  156.
  157. R.T.: Yes. And you've reported thermal and night vision?
  158.
  159. A.S.: When I get migraines, everything looks kind of like when I'm looking through a thermal visor. I never said anything about night vision. Where did that come from?
  160.
  161. R.T.: Nowhere. I misread.
  162.
  163. A.S.: I don't believe that. You're trying to see if I had similar █████████ to those ████████ on that station.
  164.
  165. R.T.: I never said anything about ████████. Arin, where are you getting information?
  166.
  167. A.S.: I ******* read the notes before I got here.
  168.
  169. R.T.: You looked at and read confidential documents?
  170.
  171. A.S.: Yeah? You've already given me the death sentence. Might as well know why I'm getting strapped into a probe and launched into a star.
  172.
  173. *Silence*
  174.
  175. R.T.: Arin. I'm really not in favor of having you killed. You know this.
  176.
  177. A.S.: Then let me go.
  178.
  179. R.T.: I don't have that authority.
  180.
  181. A.S.: But you do. Put on your report I'm fine.
  182.
  183. R.T.: I can't do that, Arin. You're sitting here, your eyes are sunken in, you look like hell. You're shaking, biting your nails, your eyes are darting around the room like some sort of scared animal. Arin, I'm not going to sign off on your execution, but I am going to have to put you in solitary quarantine.
  184.
  185. *Silence*
  186.
  187. A.S.: What about Derron... I read his papers too.
  188.
  189. R.T.: His examination was earlier. I'm going to get chewed out for telling you this, I know it. But he... isn't as fortunate as you. His body rejected the ████ completely, and he was going to end up like the other ████████. We had to... I had to...
  190.
  191. *Loud bang, presumably a chair being knocked over. At this point in the examination, A.S. goes to attack R.T., but collapses from fatigue. She is taken back to her cell.*
  192.
  193. R.T. (To recorder, for the record): I'm still not signing off on her execution. I don't think she poses a danger to us in her current state, considering she's unable to do much. We'll let her heal up for a few months, and continually re-examine her. We'll keep her in solitary confinement until given a reason to reconsider, for better or worse. I request that she be given whatever she's asked for, but under no circumstance is she to be in contact with the outside world.
  194. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
