- Poedit setup
- Poedit needs to be setup properly in order to translate the right strings.
- Make sure that you have created and saved your .po file (or is created already)
- Select Catalog > Properties
- In the Translation properties enter the name of your project into Project name and version
- You should have selected your language already
- Select UTF-8 for both Charset and Source code charset
- Switch to Source paths tab
- In the Base path enter ../..
- In the Paths click New item icon and enter ../.. again
- Switch to Source keywords tab
- Click again on New item icon and enter __ (it's two underscores characters)
- Click OK
- Now click on Update and you should see the list of all translatable strings from source PHP files
- Setup the Poedit so it can translate the source .php files
