Darth Lacus theory thing

<Victoria> is befriend the pilot of said unit, who is the only person who can pilot it
<Victoria> for the rest of the season, every important part of character development Kira has
<Victoria> is "because Lacus thinks it's like this, so I do too"
<Victoria> they then proceed to become an official couple, which gets her out of an arranged marriage she wasn't super fond of
<Victoria> at the end of this, she is revealed to have her own faction of ZAFT that is large enough to basically rebel
<Victoria> she *singlehandedly gives ZAFT's counterweapon to the weapon Kira was using, to Kira*
<Victoria> at which point he proceeds to go forth in that weapon, and act *entirely in her name, for her ideals*

<Victoria> and at the end, this... *Works*, and she convinces the sane half of ZAFT to stand down while Kira murders one half of the insane half of ZAFT, and Athrun, her ex-fiancee, who now is ALSO working for her and her ideals, ALSO murders the other half of the insane half of ZAFT
<Victoria> who, for bonus points, happens to be his father, and Lacus' father mysteriously died to terrorists who were never traced to anyone in particular
<Victoria> which left Lacus in charge
<Victoria> upon winning, she proceeds to retire and disappear from ZAFT, to take herself out of the spotlight
<Victoria> The villain, who is another insane ZAFT guy, proceeds to use the fact that she disappeared to make a fake her to control the populace of ZAFT, which *Works*, because the entire populace of ZAFT right now is firmly under her thumb
<Victoria> The place that she settled down with her boyfriend in, is *within the nation that his sister is ruling*, placing her still immediately next to a head of government
<Victoria> at which point, mysterious terrorists that are never actually linked back to anyone attempt to assassinate her
<Victoria> which, rather than killing her
<Victoria> spurs her boyfriend back into action, for her ideals
<Victoria> during the previous point, she acted as capatain of her own ship (the Eternal), and once Kira goes back into action, she ONCE AGAIN takes over the commanding role of the ship (now the Archangel), despite the *original captain of the archangel* working right there

<Victoria> so she *could* have passed it off to someone who is reasonably more qualified, since they are both the original captain of the ship and she supposedly does not want to be in a leadership role
<Victoria> where they proceed to *kidnap the ruler of the nation*
<Victoria> she then proceeds to sit offscreen and design a new set of weapons for her boyfriend and ex-fiancee that end up having enough power to singlehanded win their faction the war - AGAIN -
<Victoria> along with putting into line an elite mook suit that makes the previous elite mooks look like mooks
<Victoria> she then leads a battle against her home country *again* which results in the death of the current leader at the hands of one of her subordinates/boyfriends/exboyfriends *again*

<Victoria> she is made the leader of ZAFT

<Victoria> so she effectively ends up, at the end of SEED, controlling 2/3 major territories
<Victoria> and the third one, the earth federation
<Victoria> has had their credibility flat out ruined and much of their support has been withdrawn
<Pilz> mostly because the crap has been kicked out of them

<Victoria> But the first leader of ZAFT she killed, exposed how deep Blue Cosmos ran through their government, and when that was destroyed

<Victoria> and nearly destroyed that as well

<Victoria> the earth federation looks, to a huge majority of people, to be just impossible-to-back-always-bad-guys
<Victoria> and not only was she involved in getting rid of that
<Victoria> but she also got rid of the corrupt people in ZAFT who wanted to take advantage of that
<Victoria> she comes out of this looking like the best leader ever
<Victoria> and -all of these events-
<Victoria> are just set up
<Victoria> a bit too well
<Victoria> for her benefiting from them
