- INTRO:
- Final Fantasy Brave Exvius (FFBE) is a turn-based mobile game developed by Alim/Gumi and published by Square Enix for
- the iOS and Android. This pastebin has been typed up for the Global version of the game but most of its contents can be
- applied to the Japanese version game of the game, as well. And yes, this is another gacha game primarily focused on
- "summoning" different units and microtransactions.
- CURRENT JP PASTEBIN: http://pastebin.com/c43qGvi6
- Top Priority of Things to Do:
- • add in information about controversial methods and topics (e.g. emulator rerolling, macros, s/l'ing)
- • Make a non-shit tier-list with google docs
- • Type out the current and future usefulness of the main characters.
- (Will need to be updated with time.)
- • List 5* bases, future proof units, and possibly any new GL-exclusive units that are currently decent (e.g. any unit
- that's B.C Lid tier).
- (Explanations as to why they're good should be done in the g-doc tier list.)
- (Will need to be updated with time.)
- • Add instructions on getting certain Espers and where to farm their preferred magacites, if needed
- • TMR section
- • FAQ
- • Possibly add in a section about strategies for the Boss Trials at the Farplane.

- [1] Rerolling
- ============================
- >the hell is rerolling?
- Rerolling is the process of starting up new accounts in order to summon ("pull") desired units with the free, limited supply of premium currency given to new accounts.
- >what's the point?
- There are many different reasons as to why people would or should reroll. The most common argument is that acquiring decent units will make it a lot easier to clear through the content of the game. Also, you can't just uninstall the game or clear its data in order start a new account.
- >how do you reroll?
- Generally, the most common method of rerolling in FFBE requires, at least and at most, two Facebook account. (A disposable account and
- another account you'll be using as your "main" account.)
- After pulling an undesirable batch of units, you'll need to link it to your disposable FB account via "Menu > Options > Login". However, keep in mind that you'll need to log out of whatever FB account that has already logged in beforehand or else you'll have the Brave Exvius account with trash batch of units permanently associated with your (possibly) main FB account.
- Secondly, you'll need to simply logout via "Menu > Options > Logout".
- Now, you'll be able to roll for another batch of units and easily start up new accounts by logging in and out of your disposable FB account.
- If/when you're happy with whatever you get, log in and sync the current Brave Exvius account to your NON-disposable FB account. Then, you're set to move on.
- >wait a minute, what units are considered to be "good"?
- Ctrl+ F "[2.3] Lapis Summons"
- ============================
- [2] Notable Units
- ============================
- ||[2.1] Main Characters||
- ||[2.2] FP Summons||
- Rizer - His TMR (HP +10%) useful for new players and as a filler materia in empty slots. Easy to acquire via fusing
- duplicates of Rizers. Also, he's an easy to acquire unit who can Blade Bash to paralyze enemies. (This will be
- useful for taking down the White Dragon without requiring a good team.)
- Paul - TMR (Escape) is mostly used to skip through most exploration encounters in events such as the Land of Plenty and
- the Crystal Tower
- Biggs - His Bio Blaster ability enables you to take out large chunks of the White Dragon's Health due to its
- high chance to proc poison.
- Sarah - Her Attack Song and Magic Song are considered to be the purely offensive halves of Cheer (40% increase to
- Attack/Defense for all allies) and Focus (40% increase to Magic/Spirit for all allies) respectively. So,
- she's a good substitute for buff-support units until you summon one.
- King Giott - Not only he's a mediocre tank for new players, his TMR (Stone Killer) is useful for future event enemies.
- and bosses.
- Shiki - A mediocre physical attacker for new players. He possesses Fireworks (AoE physical damage (1.8x) with
- ignore DEF (25%)).
- Mitzell - Possesses Barfira, Barblizarra, and Barthundara to provide 50% resistance to Fire, Ice, and Lightning
- respectively.
- Kenyu - TMR (Raging Fist) is a cheap single-target ability that ignores 25% of the enemy's defense.
- Ollie - TMR (Aquan Killer) is a useful passive for future event enemies and bosses.
- Carrie - Her Auto Bowgun ability is a multi-hit ability that allows players to easily set up long chains to take
- advantage of. (Only useful if you have, at least, two copies of her and a minimum of 2 elemental weapons
- of the same element.)
- Skaha - TMR (Dragon Killer) is a useful passive for future event enemies and bosses.
- Montana - TMR (Camouflage) can be used to have any squishy units avoid being targeted by enemies by 50%. (Assuming
- that if you bring 6 units to battle and one of the units have Camouflage, the unit with Camouflage would have
- about an 8% chance of being targeted instead of a 16-17% chance.)

- ============================
- [3] Starting Out
- ============================
- Now that you've finished getting your initial party together, it's recommended to talk to every NPC in the most recently available town (Town of Mitra in this case) and make a beeline to unlock the Royal Capital Grandshelt. The reasons for this include taking advantage of the fact that NRG won't be used up until you reach rank 4 and unlocking the Colosseum and Arena. You may return to clear out explorations after unlocking the Royal Capital Grandshelt and initiating as many quests as you can.
- From here, you can:
- 1. Use up the orbs for the Arena. (You'll get rewards for the first 5 uses of orbs in the Arena daily, regardless of whether or not you win or lose.) (Recommended to do this first for maximum efficiency.)
- 2. Prioritize completing all of your daily missions (which are randomized each day) to acquire free NRG, Gil, and 50 Lapis.
- 3. Continue going on throughout the story.
- 4. Grind the Beginner or Advance levels of the current event (if applicable). (Optional.)
- However, keep in mind that you should at least accomplish "1" and "2" each day no matter what you've chosen to do first.
- ============================
- [4] Lapis
- ============================
- Now, you've most likely inferred by now that Lapis is this game's premium currency (and the name of the world this game takes place in). You must be wondering "how am I going to get more of this?" Fortunately for us, there are actually quite a lot of ways to do so.
- ||[4.1] How2GainLapis||
- • Complete all daily quests. (50 Lapis daily)
- • Participate in 5 arena matches. (40 Lapis daily)
- • "Rate" the game. (Just click on the popup; you don't actually need to rate the game). (100 Lapis)
- • Complete mission clear conditions. (The missions in the Vortex of Desires, events, and anything else from the
- Farplane count). (50 Lapis max per mission)
- • Clear the first round of each Colosseum rank. (6500 Lapis total)
- • Obtain gold trophies. (500 Lapis per gold trophy)
- You can view trophies via Menu > Trophies"
- • Login Rewards. (They usually vary between 50 Lapis and 100 Lapis. Also, the days not listed on a month's login rewards
- calendar [yet are part of the month] will usually hand out 100 Lapis until the next month's login rewards
- calendar has been implemented.)
- >is pulling for units the only thing I can do with Lapis?
- No, Lapis is also used for buying more equipment slots, reviving a wiped party, decrease the time it takes to craft an item, etc., but that doesn't mean you should brainlessly spend all of that premium currency just because you can.
- ||[4.2] Priority of Uses||
- Top - • Daily Pulls
- Mid (buy as you need it)- • buying more friend slots. (Recommended to have ~100)
- • buying more material slots. (Recommended to have ~85 slots in order to be able to carry 1
- stack of every single available material at the moment.)
- • 10+1 Pulls. (Should be done on the last day of a good banner.)
- • buying more equipment and ability slots. (No actual need to upgrade these, at the moment.)
- Low - • reviving a wiped party
- • instantly craft an item/materia/equipment
- • buying Silver Keys
- ============================
- [5] Espers
- ============================
- At first glance, Espers might seem to only be stat sticks (since 1% of an Esper's stat is added onto the stats of the unit equipped with that Esper), but that's not the case; by leveling up Espers, you gain skill points which you can use to increase the stats of the Espers or allow the use of certain spells and abilities by the unit who's equipped with that Esper.
- Generally, you want to unlock all of the abilities, spells, and traits of an Esper before increasing the Esper's main stats. However, Diablos's "Reduce Encounter" trait is arguably an exception to this rule, since you actually want to encounter enemies most of the time in explorations.
- In addition, you may fight a stronger version of an Esper in the same mission you've encountered them once you max out that particular Esper's level. Doing so would evolve the Esper to the next rarity, reset its level to 1, and expand its skill tree. (Spent and unspent skill points will be carried over).

- So, you might be wondering what's the hubbub over this accessory or why I'm singling this particular accessory out of all the other accessories.
- To keep it simple, this accessory is arguably the most beneficial, yet easily obtainable, (non-TMR) accessory for physical damage-dealers, and its stronger variants require the Hero's Rings as crafting ingredients.
- Of course, Gaffgarion's Bracer and Snow's Champion Belt provide a flat attack bonus of 30 and there's a good chance that there won't be unit with a base attack stat of 300 or higher, but they require some luck (pulling the units) and more time (TMR-grinding or pulling and fusing more Gaffgarions and Snows) than simply acquiring 30 trophies and getting the materials necessary to craft the Hero's Ring.
- What's the catch, you may ask?
- Well, each Hero Ring requires:
- • 10 Fire Megacrysts
- • 10 Ice Megacrysts
- • 3 Silver Ores
- • 4000 Gil
- • at least and at most, 72 hours for the actual crafting process
- However,:
- • Fire Megacrysts can be found from harvest points in: Zadehl Westersand - Exploration (Lanzelt) or Dwarves' Forge - Exploration
- (Dirnado)
- • Ice Megacrysts can be found from harvest points in: Wolfsfang Peak - Exploration (Lanzelt), Kolobos Marsh - Exploration
- (Kolobos Isle), Maranda Coast - Exploration (Dirnado), and Aquatic Cove - Exploration (Olderion)
- • Silver Ores can found from the harvest points in any of the previously mentioned explorations
- • Gil can be easily obtained by simply playing through the game and selling items or units.
- • The crafting process can be expedited by spending Lapis. (Don't actually do this.)
- Great, now you're one step closer to having strong physical DPT units.
- Let's focus on the ins-and-outs of the majority of the battle mechanics.
- ============================
- [7] Battle Mechanics
- ============================
- Alright, you should be able to understand by now that FFBE uses a turn-based system for battles instead of the traditional ATB-based system.
- Swiping up, down, left, and right on a unit's status box will result in different actions that your units can perform; swiping right allows you to use a unit's abilities, limit break, and evoke espers, swiping down allows your units to Guard/Defend, swiping to the left allows you to have unit use an item, and swiping up allows a unit to do a basic attack.
- Now, let's start getting into the interesting bits of battling, starting with status ailments.
- ||[7.1] Status Ailments||
- • Poison - Effect: Deals 10% of the target's Max HP every turn
- Lasts 3 turns for the enemy and permanent for the party
- Lasts after battle
- • Blind - Effect: Reduces the target's accuracy. (Causes physical attacks to have a chance to miss).
- Lasts 3 turns for the enemy and permanent for the party
- Lasts after battle
- • Sleep - Effect: Renders the target incapable of taking any action.
- Lasts 3 turns
- Basic attacks can/will wake up the sleeping target.
- • Silence - Effect: Prevents the target from casting spells
- Lasts 3 turns for the enemy and permanent for the party
- Lasts after battle
- • Paralyze - Effect: Renders the target incapable of taking any action
- Lasts 3 turns
- • Confuse - Effect: Causes the afflicted target to randomly attack foes or allies
- Can end after taking physical damage.
- • Disease - Effect: Lowers the target's base stats by 10%. Stacks with Break abilities.
- Lasts 3 turns for the enemy and permanent for the party
- Lasts after battle
- • Petrify - Effect: Renders the target incapable of taking any action or damage. Counts as death unless cured.
- Permanent for the party and enemy
- Lasts after battle
- • Death - Effect: Instant KO.
- • Gravity - Effect: Reduces HP by fixed percentage.
- • Stop - Effect: Renders the target incapable of taking any action.
- • Break - Effect: Decreases base stats.

- [10] Long-Term Tips and Guidelines
- ============================
- //NRG
- • 1 NRG is replenished every 5 minutes
- • It's possible carry more NRG than you can currently hold via keeping it "stored" in your inbox or by acquiring more NRG
- than you can naturally restore (maximum NRG count).
- - For convenience's sake, we'll name what happens in the second half of the tip as "NRG overflow" or just "overflow".
- • Ranking up will fully replenish your NRG count
- - Ranking up with a full/partially-filled NRG count WON'T cause an NRG overflow.
- (e.g. ranking up while your NRG count is 12/40 will cause your NRG count to become 40/40 instead of 52/40.)
- //Exp
- • At the moment, it's more NRG and Exp efficient to clear Cactuar Dunes ADV or completely clear out the encounters in
- Maranda Coast than to run through the Chamber of Experience in the Vortex of Desires.
- - In a similar vein, it's more efficient to do Maranda Coast than Cactuar Dunes ADV, on average at the moment.
- //Quests
- • Try to complete as many quests as you can in order to acquire free items such as Lapis, Star Quartz, the Hero's Ring
- Recipe, and the recipes for the upgrades of the Hero's Ring.
- • Try to initiate as many quests as you can by exploring towns before starting explorations or continuing on in the story.
- This will save you a lot of time and NRG from backtracking in order to complete quests.
- //Summons
- • Typically, you should daily pull each day and do 10+1 summons only on the last day of a banner that has a unit you
- want.
- //Party
- • You can actually set the parties that you'll usually use for the Colosseum, Arena, and Companions via
- Home > Menu > Options > Select Party (Found at the bottom of the options screen).
- - The same party could be assigned for multiple roles. (i.e. You can set a single party as your Companion Party, Arena Party, and
- Colosseum party.)
- • You can set party leaders via
- Units > tapping on a Unit > Set as Leader
- - The party leader for your Arena party will be shown to other players in the Arena.
- - The party leader for your Companion party will be shown and usable to other players, including your friends
- //Friends
- • You won't lose anything at all if you send gifts to friends, so try to send gifts daily.
- • Try to always keep, at least, one friend slot open just so you can receive friend requests.
- - You won't receive any friend requests until you finally have at least one open friend slot.
- • You can change the type of gift you'll receive by going to Friends > Send Gifts and tapping on the icon next to your
- companion party leader.
